Hi boys and girls and welcome back to Graceville where God's love is everywhere. It's me!
Pastor Anastasia and I'm so super duper excited that you've joined me today as we learn more
about our best friend Jesus. Today's special feature comes to us from right here in the
United States where my friend Sophia has prepared a beautiful song just for us. Let's listen in!
Amazing! Boys and girls remember if you
want to share your gifts and talents with Jesus, please ask your parents or guardians to inbox me
and I'd be happy to share it with our friends. I just love that music. It reminds me that it's
nature time and I'm so excited because our friend Ryan from Canada is back and you know how it is
you never know who or what we'll be learning about today so don't miss out on the fun and
come along with me. Hello boys and girls and welcome again to nature time at Graceville.
I know it's the middle of winter but today we're going to be talking about picking fruit. Let's
tune in. Number one, not all fruit are picked at the same time. Some fruit like pears should be
picked hard because if we harvest them soft they'll become mushy. Picking fruit at the right
time is very very important. Number two, just because a fruit can grow bigger doesn't mean we
should let them. Farmers say that if zucchini is left to grow very big it loses its taste.
No thanks. Number three, we have to have gentle hands. It's not good to yank fruit off the tree
because we may bruise it. Number four, once our tree or plant starts to get fruit we should check
them every day just in case we miss the right moment to harvest or reap them. These are other
words for pick. Matthew chapter 9 verse 37 says, then he said to his disciples, the harvest is
plentiful but the workers are few. Boys and girls, when sharing Jesus with others we should make sure
to follow those tips about picking fruit especially about having gentle hands. Let's share these tips
with our family so that we can all be good workers for Jesus. Bye boys and girls. Thanks
for tuning in. See you next time. And we're back just in time to check in on Melissa. I wonder how
her week went. Well let's go. Hey Pastor Anastasia, I'm feeling super overwhelmed. Overwhelmed by what?
My to-do list is way too long. There's so much to do to be ready for the fall festival.
How will I do it? Sounds like you could use a helping hand. Everything is so much easier,
faster and better when we do it the way God intended, by working together. Wait a minute,
that reminds me of our theme for this week which simply says, lend a helping hand. Let me hear my
friend Ze say it. Lend a helping hand. And our memory verse is found in Proverbs 18 verse 24
and it simply says, there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Let me hear my friend
Ethan say it. Proverbs 19 verse 24 says, there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Great job everyone.
You're absolutely right. I've probably got a couple friends who'd be happy to pitch in.
Great friends are always ready and willing to help, like the friends of the guy in today's
story. They went out of their way to lower him down through the roof in order to help him get
closer to Jesus. Can you guess who today's story is about? This is too easy Pastor Anastasia,
there was only one man who was lowered through the roof, the paralytic. That's right my friends,
today's story is about the paralytic. News spread far and near, Jesus was back in his hometown.
In no time the house where he stayed was crowded with people. There was a paralyzed man who
desperately wanted to be healed but he couldn't get to Jesus, at least not on his own. Thankfully
he had great friends who were willing to lend a helping hand. They actually lifted him up to the
down right in front of Jesus. When Jesus saw the perseverance and love of his friends,
he was so moved with compassion, he healed the man, all because his friends were willing to
lend him a helping hand. Wowzers, now those are some amazing friends. If it weren't for them,
the paralytic would never have been healed. Exactly, so whenever someone's in need,
let's be the first to lend a helping hand.
