Donors doubt Kamala Harris' 2028 presidential run

I firmly and strongly believe that when you feel powerless, you are powerless.
And when you feel powerful, you are powerful. Let's just show ourselves, each other, our power
around the midterms and every day. Well, former Vice President Kamala Harris says she's considering
now whether to run for president again in two years time. She may, though, struggle to bankroll
her bid. Here's why. According to the L.A. Times, big donors backed Harris in 2024. For 2028,
they're not so sure. Mark Thiessen, former speechwriter to President George W. Bush,
also a Fox News contributor. Mark, one of the reasons big donors, we are made to understand,
soured on Kamala Harris last cycle had nothing to do with her power or lack thereof, had nothing to
do with President Biden's missteps. It had to do with decisions her campaign made under her watch
to funnel obscene amounts of money into these celebrity spots at her campaign rallies, things
that donors in the end reportedly came to resent and feel was a waste. Yeah. So, I mean, they don't
want to support her because she's the political equivalent of the Hindenburg. I mean, this is
a disaster for the Democratic Party. This is a candidate who's run for president twice, never
won a single primary vote. Just listening to her brings me like, you know, it gives me chills
that because this is the woman who told us there's a great significance to the passage of time and
all these great things that she has. She delivers word salads like Biden did, but without the excuse
of dementia. No, I don't think anyone has yet proven that there is this passage of time is
not significant to be fair. That's a that's a fair point. I mean, and I listened to her,
I think there, but for the grace of God goes our president. We'd have to listen to that for
four years. And on top of that, she's a gap prone candidate, but she's also a gap prone leftist.
I mean, the GovTrack, which is a nonpartisan group, actually put her to the left of Bernie
Sanders in terms of her voting record. So she so she was she what the Democratic Party needs to do
if they want to win back the White House is move to the center because they the reason
why Donald Trump won again is because Joe Biden came in and promised us moderation.
And instead, they went to the left and it was a disaster on on so many levels. And so if they want
to learn the lessons, they have to go back to the move back to sort of Clintonite centrism.
With all that being said, in fairness to her, she is leading most Democratic polls right now.
And as you mentioned, she flamed out in 2020, didn't even make it to the Iowa caucuses.
She lost to President Trump. We remember her short campaign. It was a brat summer
campaign of vibes, not a whole lot of policy. Do you think donors are wondering maybe third
time's the charm here? Well, I mean, she's probably leading because of name recognition
because she's run nationally. She was the vice president of the United States. People know who
she is. But just because she has name recognition doesn't mean people actually can vote for her
president. I mean, I think the Democrats have a problem, which is that they have Donald Trump
has fundamentally shifted the Democrat, the political stream where he's made the Republican
Party, the party of the working class, and they've become the party of coastal elites.
And the coastal elites want leftists. But that's not what the American people want.
If you want to go back to if you want political recovery, you have to move to the center.
I want to turn your attention to this real quick. Tom Homan is now accusing
New York Governor Kathy Hochul of hurting the undocumented illegal immigrants in her
state that she purports to help. Take a quick listen to him on Fox and Friends.
Governor Hochul is not going to stop President Trump from keeping his promised American people
in his country safe again. And I said before, one agent can arrest one bad guy in the safety
and security of a jail. But when she released him to the street, we got to send a whole team.
What I said to her was not a threat. That's a valid response. If you want to take the jails
away from us, one agent arrests one bad guy, and I got to send a whole team to go look at this bad
guy. That means a hell of a lot more agents will be in New York. All right, referee, that one.
Ask yourself a simple question. Why are Democrats so opposed to deportation?
The answer is very simple, redistricting. They've lost the Virginia case. They've lost
the Supreme Court on racial gerrymandering, which means they're going to lose a lot of seats.
And now they're about to lose the 2030 census. There's been a huge population shift because
of bad Democratic governments from blue states to red states, which means they're going to lose
more than a dozen congressional seats. And illegal migrants can't vote, but they get
counted in the census for population. So Americans are leaving blue states. Illegal migrants are
coming in, making up for the population. The only way they hold onto the congressional seats
is by bringing illegal migrants in. So this is all about politics. This is all about redistricting.
And blue states continue to expand their sanctuary policies, and it's obviously going to be a big
topic heading into the midterms and into 2028, as it always is. Mark, great to see you.
Thank you. Thanks, Mark.
