MP John Brassard delivered speech on 2026 Falun Dafa Day celebration in Ottawa

We're honored to welcome Member of Parliament John Broussard, whose unwavering dedication to protecting our community is deeply appreciated. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome MP John Broussard. Perfect timing. Good afternoon, everyone. I want to welcome you all to Parliament Hill, and I'm so honored to be following my esteemed colleague and caucus chair, Scott Reid. I know I wanted to be here today because I know Falun Dafa will be in Barriott City Hall as they are every year on Friday. Unfortunately, I won't be able to be there because I'll be down in Michigan with my son, who's participating in a golf tournament down there. So I really wanted to be here today to be with my friend, Pit Singh, and Grace, and others, to show my support for Falun Dafa, for the principles that apply, truthfulness, compassion, forbearance. I know sometimes as difficult as it is, the level of intimidation that goes on, we've seen cancellation of events because of direct pressure from the Chinese Communist regime. I admire your courage, I admire your tenacity, I admire your faith, and I admire your resilience in ensuring that the Falun Dafa movement continues to grow, not just here in Canada, but around the world. So on behalf of the people that I represent in Barrie, South Innisfil, in Ontario, I want to say thank you for being here on Parliament Hill today, and thank you for practicing what you believe in without fear, and I wish you all the best in the future.
