I can’t believe I just uploaded a 20min video.
Sparky the cat is transitioning from a move to a new home, and was scared up a beautiful elder #sugarmaple tree. Sparky spent 4 days in the tree before I showed up to give him a lift.
This video is long, and is and exercise in #patience for me and for all viewers that make it through to the end.

Video Summary
AI GeneratedDwayne, a professional tree climber, visits a property in Englewood, Ohio, to rescue Sparky, a three-year-old cat stranded in a tree for four days after being chased by a dog. After a patient process of negotiation using food and a rescue bag, Dwayne successfully brings Sparky down safely and provides the owners with critical post-rescue feeding instructions.
I'm in Englewood, Ohio. This cat has been up here for four or five days. I'm gonna try to get him
down. Beautiful property. Wow, this place is gorgeous. Let's end with the tree. Hi, I'm Kathy.
Kathy, I'm Dwayne. Oh, Dwayne, thank you so much. Hi, what's your name? Lexi. So tell me a little
bit about the situation we've got going on here. Sparky. Sparky? Yeah. How old is Sparky? Sparky's
we think three. How long have you had Sparky? We've had him about two and a half years. Okay.
We just moved here a couple weeks ago. Her dog came out. He got nervous. Yeah. And the dog chased
him up the tree. He's not came down and she's had the dog away. How long has Sparky been in the tree?
This is four days. You say Sparky is nice with strangers that you think you'll just let me pick
him right up? Yeah, yeah, he's not scared of people. No, he's a lovey. That's how he found us.
We didn't even get him. He kept coming to our house and we kept setting him down. He kept
clinging to us. So he must have got away from someone. But he's really a good cat. I so appreciate
you doing this. We'll see how it goes. I think I got it. Yes, I did. I just got to get it to come
down now. Hi Spark. There it goes. You're amazing. It isn't always that easy. This can be the hardest part.
Sometimes getting, sometimes it's a marathon. I told my family members that they have to make donations
to you and I told a friend. Well, I just, I'm just focused on getting Sparky down. Oh, you've got a
pawpaw tree right here too? I guess. Yeah, yeah. So this tree, do you know about pawpaws? So this tree here
is a pawpaw tree. Have you heard of pawpaw fruit before? Yeah. This one might be a little young to
get fruit, but look at this one very closely. Oh, you got another one right here. Pay attention to
these trees if you have any more out here. Yeah, it looks like you do. You could get you some pawpaw
fruit late September, October. Yeah, it's amazing fruit. I have, I have about 30 pawpaw trees in my
yard now. My yard is not nearly as big as this. This is amazing. I'm so jealous of this property.
This is just, this is my dream to have a forest of these. Who is she? Okay.
And I'm not very woodsy person, but it's interesting to learn that. Does she know what she's got here? Yes.
Oh, so she knows pawpaws and all this stuff? I bet. I'm sure. Man. They do honey here. Yeah.
It's so nice. This is a beautiful place. So watch him when the rope comes up by him, okay, and let me
know. Yep. I'm just gonna, nope, don't say anything to him unless he starts to, if he starts to run,
just say he's running. Okay, that's good. He's curious. He's still doing all right.
Good. Okay. Sparky. Here we go, buddy. Kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty. Hey Sparky. Kitty, kitty,
kitty. Hey Sparky. Hey buddy. Kitty, kitty, kitty. Hey Sparky. It's okay kitty. He's growling at me.
You hear it? He's been up there and come back down to here before. Okay. Come on buddy. Come here

Let's see if this entices you a little bit. Hey buddy. I've got some food on here for you big boy.
You can smell it. Go ahead and get a bite. Go ahead and take a lick of that. He's a scaredy cat.
It's okay buddy. No, it's right on the end Sparky. It's right on the end Sparky kitty.
There it is. You found it. Nice. How is that buddy? It's going to give you a little bit and
then I'm going to try to talk you back over here. Good kitty. Good Sparky. So he ate some. I'm going
to put some more on there and then see if he'll come closer to it. It's okay Sparky. Good boy.

Come on Sparky. No don't go up buddy. Come here. Don't go up. Good kitty. It's right there in front
of you buddy. No don't go up. I'm not gonna let you go up. I can't let you go up Sparky. I gotta
get this stick out of the way. That's keeping you from coming down. That stick right there is
causing problems. Hey buddy. Look Sparky. Good kitty. Good Sparky. Come on. Come on buddy.
Am I gonna have to try to go over there? Don't do that buddy. Don't growl at me. Okay I gotta get
that all the way out of the way. Oh no Sparky. Don't do that. Sparky that's not the answer buddy.
I'm not trying to hurt you buddy. I'm trying to help you. Come on kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty.
Can you guys just be quiet? I don't want, I want him to focus on only me right now
because he's looking down at you and you might even have to go inside. Hey Sparky. Come on buddy.
Come on Sparky. Come on buddy. Come on Sparky. Kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty. Come on.

gonna have to go in. Come on buddy. Come on Sparky. Come on big boy. Sparky come on. Kitty,

You're okay. You're a good kitty. Come on. Come to me now buddy. Come to me Sparky. Come on.
Come on kitty. Come on Sparky. Kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty. It's just me and you Sparky.
Come on kitten. Come on big boy. Sparky you're a sweet big boy. You're a sweet big boy. You're
kind of scared of me aren't you buddy? Come on. Come on. Look come on. You're just a sweet big boy.
You're a sweet big fella. Come on to me Sparky. Come on. Come on Sparky. You're a good boy.
That's a good boy. That's a good boy Sparky. You're a good boy. Yes you're a good boy. Come here.
Yes you're a good boy. Come to me Sparky. Come on. Come to me buddy. You're okay. You're okay.
You want some of this buddy? Look let me put you a little bit right there. Here look. Look buddy.
Oh yes you're a sweet boy. Oh you've got your ear tip don't you? You've got an ear tip huh buddy?
Yes you're a sweet boy. Yes you're a sweet big boy. You were so afraid of me and you're waiting
for your family to help you. They had to go inside so you had to deal with me huh?
So now you gotta deal with me. Come on Sparky. You're a good boy. You're a good boy. Yes you are.
I'm gonna try to put you in this bag. It's a pretty precarious situation right here. You're
a good boy Sparky. Yeah you're a sweet boy. You're a sweet big fella. First time using the new bag.
Come here buddy. Come here Sparky. Don't run away buddy. Don't run away Sparky. Don't run away from
me. Don't run away. Don't run away buddy. You're okay big boy. You're okay big fella. The cat's in the bag.
Got him. Okay you can come out. He's a scaredy cat but he came over and rubbed on me but he didn't
want me to pick him up. I had to like force him to let me pick him up. Just hold him like a baby
and let me get down here and we'll take him in the house. Let him know it's you. Yeah he's gonna
get wild. They always get wild once they get near the ground. Hey Sparky you're okay buddy.
Go ahead and put the bag on the ground and just pet him and talk to him and I'll untie it while
you're petting him. You're okay. Hey he was tricky. He was a tricky boy. Yeah I kind of knew he was
going to freak out. Did you know he was going to run from me? It sounded like you guys thought he
was going to be really sweet to me. Well that's what she thought but I thought you know since
he's all nervous like he would probably feel a little bit. Yeah hey buddy. Oh Sparky he's happy
now. So he needs water more than anything and don't give him don't feed him a big pile of dry
food. Absolutely not. Just give him all the water he wants okay and then little bits of food
preferably just wet food every hour like maybe a spoonful an hour because he could get what's
called refeeding syndrome. If you just let him eat a whole lot real quickly it'll hurt him. It could
do more than hurt him. Thank you for finally making the right decision Sparky. Thank you so
much. You're welcome. I'm Karen. Karen nice to meet you. I'm Duane. What got you into this?
Oh well I love trees. I do too. I know I can tell. I am so envious of your property. It is a dreamland.
It is marvelous. You are so fortunate. So that's what got me into climbing trees was I just wanted
I free climbed for a long time without ropes and there were these trees I just could not get into
and I wanted to be up in these trees so I learned how to use the ropes and stuff. I wish I would
have done that when I was younger because I love being in trees and when I saw like programs where
you can climb I was like oh my gosh I missed that opportunity. Yeah well you haven't. You're not too
old to do it. That's true. I've climbed with people from four years old to or probably younger to 80
years old. Really? Yeah. I'd love to.
