Two DPW workers hurt in a shooting. The manhunt for the suspect ended this afternoon in Manchester,
New Hampshire. Boston 25 News reporter Daniel Coates is on scene. Well we consider this to
be a very shocking and brazen crime. A broad daylight shooting in Manchester shuts down an
entire block. We take it very seriously. Around 9 30 Thursday morning police say two city DPW
workers were walking along Union and Manchester Street until a man known to one of the workers
came walking right at them. For whatever reason he pulled out a gun and he shot at both of the
men striking both of them. Of course the two of them ran and he continued to walk on his way. He
did not give chase. Those men were rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while
police began their city-wide manhunt using canines, tips and surveillance video. Through tips and
through different information that came in they were able to find him at a local business and
Six hours later 32-year-old Sean Day was arrested. Believed to be the man who fired
one round at the two workers. A motive still unclear. It is definitely not a random crime.
Manchester's mayor added Thursday I've spoken with both victims and am grateful that they are
recovering. My prayers remain with all affected by this senseless crime. This was a despicable act
and I hope justice is served quickly. Gun violence unfortunately does occur here in this city and we
try to be right on it. Police found Day at a local business where he was taken into custody
without incident. We are always trying to be out there and keep everybody that lives in the city
safe. Now Day was being held at Manchester Police Headquarters. He'll soon face a judge
and two counts of first-degree assault. Right next door to police at Department of Public Works
they were shut down Thursday in light of the incident that's still actively being investigated
into why it happened. On state of Manchester, New Hampshire,
