The vlogger documents a \"down day\" spent managing hay fever and a neck injury. She pivots from original plans to a relaxing day of self-care, featuring a Tesco shopping trip for summer fashion and home decor, a McDonald's taste test, and homemade treats. The video blends lifestyle updates, product hauls, and personal reflections on her childhood as a military brat.
Good morning.
I wanted to start my vlog just in here
whilst I've got a bit of peace and quiet in this room.
I don't like vlogging in front of people.
People are downstairs, so.
And also Tom's on a call downstairs.
But hello guys, how are you all doing?
I hope you're all well.
I decided this morning to not style my hair
and not add some extra heat on it.
I might actually spritz some dry shampoo through.
And I've got on my new Marks and Spencers
linen trousers that I picked up recently
just for the Primark t-shirt.
And these are like the perfect addition to my wardrobe
for that comfy jean alternative, legging alternative,
especially when we've been having
a bit warmer weather again.
Temperature's a bit warmer, but it's not really been,
I don't know, I've not wanted to put a summer dress on.
I've not shaved my legs, it's easier.
I'm also having a bit of a mess today.
I feel like I just wanted to get started on this vlog
or else there's not gonna be a vlog.
But I'm full of hay fever.
Anybody else, I even Googled it.
We were chatting with you yesterday
saying what type of allergy I've got.
I always seem to get hay fever,
I feel, quite early in the year,
like April, May, it starts.
June, it's at its peak.
And then hopefully, fingers crossed,
tends to taper off in July.
And yeah, I looked online
and apparently that is like grass pollen
and that's when it's at its highest.
Because I'm in two minds to open the windows
and let fresh air in,
because I feel like the house gets stuffy.
But then you're letting hay fever pollen in,
so you kind of want to avoid doing that.
So not only have I got full of hay fever,
I've also slept funny on my neck,
so I can't really turn my head that way,
which is just brilliant.
And I'm just having one of those days, guys.
Not every day is an up day,
and today is not an up day for me.
But let's hopefully we can turn this around
and have a bit more of a positive day.
I do feel like when I chat to you guys,
it's kind of like a bit of a form of therapy
of speaking out loud what I've been thinking.
Like if I sort of like have a moan about this
to Tom or my mom or whoever,
I feel like I'm moaning.
And I am moaning to you guys as well.
But I just know that someone,
someone somewhere out there
will also be watching this video
and might also be having a bit of a down day
or not like a 10 out of 10 motivated, happy mood day.
So if you're with me, we're in it together.
But anyway, yeah,
there's worse things going on in the world
than a bit of hay fever and a crooked neck.
And I can pull it together
and chat to you guys instead.
So today on the agenda,
what do we have?
I had intended actually to do,
I was invited to Cheshire Oaks,
they've got this new dog mural,
which they invited Barney and I down to,
to have a look and it was on a Saturday.
And we actually had plans
and I was like, if I'm gonna go to this,
I'm altering my plans for the day.
It was a bit restricting.
And I decided on not going
and that was going to be today's vlog
was a Cheshire Oaks vlog.
And then I thought, you know what?
Forget the dog mural opening day,
it'll still be there.
Yeah, there might not be free puppuccinos
and goodie bags for Barney or whatever,
but I can go at any point.
So I could go today.
However, the way that I'm feeling,
I'm just like the thought of doing a long drive
over to Cheshire,
it's not even that long,
but a good couple of hour round trip.
I just thought, you know what?
I'm not feeling it.
So we might do a bit of at home bits and bobs.
I've got some bits to show you.
I've got a little food shop I need to do.
So I might head over to Tesco's actually.
It's been a while since I've been to a Tesco's
and I keep seeing loads of girls on Instagram
showing new and F and F clothing.
And there are some gorgeous bits.
Sorry, I'm gonna sneeze.
That's the best part about sneezing
and hay fever as well,
is you put on makeup,
you blow it straight off.
Look, I'm moaning again, I'm moaning.
I need to stop with the moaning.
But yeah, I thought F and F we can maybe do,
pay a little visit to,
given that I've seen some quite nice summery sets.
I'm also potentially going away with Tom very soon.
So I thought we can maybe see
if there are some nice summery sets
that we can have a look at or dresses.
So I'll take you guys with me if I do go there.
Otherwise, let's just have a nice chilled day together,
which are always some of my favorites anyway.
I also baked a banana bread yesterday
and I have a couple of pieces left.
So I might save that for later
and show you how I do my iced coffee.
Cause I shared a photo on Instagram
and I had a few people ask like how I do my iced coffee.
So I'm gonna show you that super easy way,
like with instant coffee as well.
But it's one that I've been doing for years,
like the method that I've been doing
at home iced coffees for years.
So yeah, we can maybe have that later.
And you know what, given the way I'm feeling,
we could even maybe do a little treat day and go.
It's been a while since I've been to McDonald's
and I know that they've got their new FIFA menu out.
So we can maybe do a little drive through, treat ourselves.
But yeah, otherwise I hope you guys are all doing well
and are all having a 10 out of 10 day.
And if not, I hope this video brings you a bit of comfort
and does make your day that little bit better.
I think I may have timed this poorly.
As you can tell, they're cutting the grass.
As I'm going for a walk
and I've just been talking about my grass hay fever.
Oh dear.
We're here starting off at Tesco's.
I didn't realize until I've got here
that there's actually one of those,
let me try and find the good lighting, best lighting.
Just throw my hair up in a claw clip.
It's actually quite warm today, 23 degrees.
One of their summer roadshow things
where they do like little tasters, samples.
Now I'm not sure if there's a goodie bag or anything
because I remember the Christmas one there was.
And also the Christmas one,
I remember like that was a bit hectic.
The goodie bag sold out straight away
and it was all a bit manic.
So I don't know if it's still the case
or if there's just a few samples and things to try,
but if it is anything worth going to,
I'll be sure to mention it.
But let's head on in,
let's see what fashion-y bits they've got.
And another annoying thing, isn't it?
They don't have changing rooms anymore.
So I'm gonna have to buy anything that I want to try on
and then return it if it doesn't fit
or if I don't like it on me.
Thank you very much.
It's all right.
This top is gorgeous.
I don't know if I love the colours that they've used,
but actually if that was just plain,
that like linen with the embroidery is just so pretty.
Cropped up.
And we've got some little Bermuda shorts
with the matching top and this lovely cream colour as well.
16 for the top and 16 for the shorts.
Really nice, pretty detailing as well.
Oh, I love that.
Do you know, I'm not sold on the shorts,
but I'm actually loving the top.
I might even just get the top,
but they've obviously put it in this colour as well.
Some nice denim shorts in this stripe set,
which also come with a matching denim like vest,
little cropped vest.
And then also this set's really pretty with the crochet.
16 for the shorts, 18 for the top.
I really like that.
So these aren't with the pyjamas,
but they are kind of a bit pyjama-like.
I do also like the idea of them as comfy trousers.
I don't know if I'd be able to get past the fact
that they look a bit too pyjama-like for me.
I'm not sure whether to get a pair just to try or leave it.
Oh, I like this set, really like this set.
And how comfy does that look as well?
One might get that to try.
There's only one top left in a size six though, annoyingly.
I know this isn't gonna come off on camera,
but the material of this dress is so nice.
They've got it in a chocolate brown as well.
It's like a slinky,
kind of reminds me of like Lululemon fabrics that they do.
And it's a really nice charcoal colour as well, that one.
It is 22.50, I might get that to try.
This is also a really nice fabric.
This set comes in like a burgundy colour
and a striped chocolate brown and cream.
Is it brown?
I think it's brown.
And the top has like the little bow ties,
which you can always tie that around a bra,
just a little hack.
If you've got like a triangle bra on
and you want to not go braless,
that's a good way to kind of like disguise your bra
from like coming up or down.
So 14 for the top, 16 for the bottoms,
and they just look so comfortable.
I'm also just buying these.
They're like almost like a capri jean.
They're not a jorts,
because they're not like a jean shorts.
They're definitely longer than that.
But I'm not sure, I'm not convinced on them.
I feel like I need to see what they look like on.
They've also got some like looser fit denim shorts as well
that look really comfy.
I quite like this polka dot set.
There seems to literally just be one skirt and one top
unless they've just been placed here incorrectly,
but the top skirt's in a size eight,
so that would be too small for me.
And the top's in a size 20, so too big for me,
which is a real shame
because I actually think I would have got that to try on
and maybe have as an option to take away with me.
We're going to the South of France,
and I just feel like that could look really,
I don't know, pretty.
It's like a little French holiday outfit.
It's this little denim shirt, over shirt.
Again, too big for me, but a nice shade.
They've also got it in a pink denim.
This set is in that same fabric
as the dress that I was saying
is really, really like soft and lovely.
And they've got them in a trouser and matching top,
like a long line top with the side knot detail.
And they also have it in this shade,
like a nice mushroomy brown color as well.
This is a cute concept.
I feel like if they had it in a different color,
I might have been tempted for it.
That is a little knitted vest
that kind of has a faux little scarf jumper
thrown over the shoulder type look.
Very preppy, and I kind of like it.
I'm loving baby blue at the minute,
so I'm just trying to decide which one I prefer.
These two, the shorter one at 22.50,
or this one, which I think is actually really practical
because it's strapless.
So for tanning, that's ideal.
It's kind of gathered here,
but then a bit looser on the bottom and just tiered.
I might try this one, I think.
They also have some of the nicest pajama sets,
and they've got these new contains linen ones as well
with the baby blue stripe.
They also do it in a plain white version
and also a blue with white piping.
I've just pulled this out from here,
but I love this one shoulder design.
The only thing I don't love on this,
which I guess you could easily take them off,
is the shiny beads, but that one shoulder
and also how floaty and flowy it is,
I bet that would be so, so comfortable to just throw on.
Oops, I have one from Zara, quite similar,
in a lighter version.
Oh, and by the way, I did get a free goodie bag,
so I'll show you what I got from the summer free bag
when we get home.
For a more little fitted number,
this one also at 25 pounds is really pretty
with the yellow rose detail on the halter neck.
Gorge.
I feel like it's trying to channel
like a bit of a House of CB style
with that gathered waist part.
Oh, I like the look of this one as well.
See what that one looks like.
Yeah, so pretty.
Love that neckline.
These haven't been put out yet,
so I'm not sure where they're gonna go.
I'm assuming, I think, maybe pajama section,
but they are lovely.
You could definitely even wear that top out
maybe with like some jeans or white trousers, skirt.
Such a pretty, pretty pattern.
And then the matching bottoms,
these are what make me feel like it's pajamas.
I showed you this dress in the baby blue version earlier,
and I think the chocolate brown
actually looks more expensive.
So of the two,
I think that one definitely looks better in the brown.
What's that brown one?
Oh, that's just like a little knitted top.
I quite like this knitted top
with the cream piping and the scalloped edging.
This set is with the swimwear,
so I think it's more of like a beach cover-up,
but the trousers and the matching top,
I definitely think you could style the top separately.
I guess the trousers,
because this bit is sheer,
you wouldn't be able to,
and it would just be more swimwear.
But a gorgeous little cover-up set, so pretty.
Well, these flavors are new.
I don't know if I'd like either of them.
I might possibly like the matcha,
but I'm not really a matcha girlie.
Definitely don't think I'd like that cherry blossom,
but guys, they look cute.
I noticed new free gifts with Vogue this month.
You get these little free pouches,
three colors to collect,
good little makeup bag maybe.
If you like the neutrals like I do,
this is a gorgeous little set.
I'm assuming, obviously, it doesn't come with the cushions
and obviously how they've dressed it and everything,
but if you imagine it with none of that on,
it's all just cream and beige.
So it's really nice.
One pound, one pound 50, I wish.
150 with a club car price of 110.
And it says seat six.
Doesn't extend, so I think it's more like seats four,
to be honest with you.
Oh, okay, sorry, it doesn't say seat six.
It's six piece set.
Very handy for if you're hosting
and want like a huge ice water,
lemon water or something,
or obviously like a sangria.
They've also got these towels,
like outdoor towels,
but I quite like this more like hammam style towel.
Gorgeous little outdoor mirrors from nine pound.
Seeing if there's any new in home decor bits
that I don't remember seeing last time.
I don't remember seeing these like icon glasses
with the lobsters, if you like these.
Sorts of glasses, the anthropology dupes.
They've got them with their matching side plates as well.
We've got some fish bowls.
These cutlery carriers are really handy
for outdoor hosting.
Oh, it actually says condiment holder, that one.
10 pounds.
Oh, and then these are a bit more my vibe.
The little lemons.
How cute.
And if you like that kind of coastal theme
with your house anyway,
that will out all year round,
not even just for summer.
It's like a little coral fruit bowl.
What else?
These bowls are nice.
I've got some actually very similar to that.
Our outdoor hosting like platters and things are like that.
But mine are from a more local shop called Homebird.
But then yeah, these bowls are 22 for a set of two.
A little scalloped edge.
Just buy any other new bits.
That little bowl,
the decorative bowl at the bottom is reduced to clear.
Nine pounds, that one.
Not buying pets at all that these are.
That tray is 10 pounds.
These little candle holders, 5.40.
I like this bowl.
That one's only five pounds,
like a ceramic display bowl.
I'm so used to rechargeable lamps now
that when I see them with wires,
especially this size,
I just think they're actually quite impractical
or inconvenient.
However, having said that,
I do love the little shape of that one,
which is 18 pounds.
This, that like antique brass,
the little linen cover,
perfect size as well.
Yeah, gorgeous.
Right, I'm just putting into McDonald's now.
I don't know if vanilla matcha frappe,
matcha frappe.
But again, not a match girl.
Hi, take your order please.
Hi, SF12 is the code.
Yeah, go ahead, thank you.
Thank you.
This car is due to go back soon anyway,
and it needs all the alloys doing.
So what's an extra little curb bump?
If you order on the app,
I mean, some of this is free for me
because it's quite good reward system.
I haven't used the rewards in a while,
but I haven't been, I feel like,
and had McDonald's in a while.
But I have gone for,
well, in fact, I got for free through my rewards,
the crunchy cheese bites,
I think they're called,
their new part of the FIFA menu,
also with a Big Mac sauce.
No, I'm not a Big Mac orderer.
I never, I don't think I've ever had a Big Mac.
So, and I think what people like about Big Mac
is the Big Mac sauce.
So I'll be intrigued to try that.
And then I went for, there was two options.
There was a Mexican chicken,
which I never tend to get chicken from here anyway,
but if I do, I think it might have a bit of a kick to it,
a bit of a spice,
or the sweet Carolina barbecue.
That's what I've gone for.
So I think it's like a bacon cheeseburger.
I'm guessing with like a sweet sauce or something on it.
So that's what I've gone for.
Don't think I've got anything else.
Milkshake, vanilla milkshake to go with it,
and some chips.
No, milkshake.
Yes, thank you.
Thanks a lot.
Oasis.
No, that's another thing I've never ordered.
It takes me back to doing the,
ordering what the person in front of me
got at the drive-thru video.
Do you remember when I did that,
when it was like a bit of a craze?
I didn't get an Oasis.
I don't think, from memory.
But it's just so funny, isn't it?
How people just have their orders
and it can be so different
to what you would ordinarily get.
I got a filet-o-fish.
Who gets a filet-o-fish?
Not me.
Right, I might park up for this actually.
And I can enjoy it whilst it's fresh.
First sip.
Mm, delish.
Okey-doke, let's,
I'm really intrigued to try these cheese bites.
Crunchy cheese bites.
I'll try one on its own first.
And they're only tiny.
I'm gonna open that window instead
because I feel like everyone can,
I'm parked near Halfords
and there are people having their carder
just there next to me.
I'm easily pleased when it comes to anything cheesy.
What can go wrong?
I wouldn't say they're anything like,
I'd get them again, but they're all right.
I still think the,
I like the cheese with the jalapeno ones in.
Camembert at Christmas are nice.
But yeah, these were all right.
You don't get many, you get four.
Let's try this, this is the Big Mac sauce.
Oh, okay, it's like pickley.
Oh yeah, I like that.
Maybe I would like a Big Mac.
It's like in a gold container.
Oh no, a fly's coming.
Get out, fly.
Tends to be more often
that I just get like a double cheeseburger or something
or a quarter pounder.
Oh my God, this is gonna go everywhere.
It is messy.
Look at that.
Oops, yeah, I've already dropped some lettuce down there.
Right, I'm gonna have to do this over, over here.
So there's little, there's grilled onions in it.
Cheese, lettuce.
That sauce, that barbecue sauce is so sweet and delicious.
Love that.
I feel like I would take it or leave it with the bacon.
Like the bacon's all right.
Like I said, I do quite like that they're
kind of like streaky bacon pieces,
but I don't think it needs it.
Wow, mm-mm-mm, I'm a happy girl.
I've turned this day around.
I am a happy girl.
What a bit of comfort food can do, hey?
I also spent far too much on the clothes in Tesco's,
but I kept adding things to my trolley
and I was like, mm,
justifying it with the fact that there's no changing room,
so can't do anything about that.
Obviously gone down a treat
because this is all that is left of my banana bread.
And yes, I did add chocolate chips,
which I know isn't like always the norm,
but this is a little naughty treat.
And plus I used dark chocolate
and I actually think I needed like half the amount
that I used.
I kind of sprinkled them on top mostly, as you can tell.
And I just use the BBC good food recipe
if we're having a naughty banana bread like that one,
or if we're having a healthier version,
we do the Emily English breakfast loaf,
the banana breakfast loaf,
rather than like a chocolate chip banana bread,
which is a really nice alternative for like no sugar flour.
I think we use like oat flour or like we blend oats
or even sometimes I leave them chunky.
We add like pumpkin seeds in
and don't use sugar.
We use like agave syrup or honey or something instead.
But to be honest with you,
the bananas I feel make the banana bread quite sweet anyway.
Even this recipe,
I think the ingredients were 140 measurements,
grams for the flour and the sugar each.
And I did it the 140 flour,
but I think I only did about 80 grams of sugar.
And then obviously I did add dark chocolate.
So kind of defeats the purpose,
but I always find the banana makes it quite sweet anyway,
especially if they're really nice and ripe.
So yeah, I'm gonna enjoy that with a nice iced coffee.
Right, this is how I make my incredibly easy iced coffee,
especially if you only have kind of like instant coffee.
Okay, and also, come on,
you're about to make an amazing coffee,
just let me do this, please.
And please, please.
I'll be, it's really quick and easy, I promise.
No, Tommy, horrible to me.
Ice cup, if you've got that.
Oh, Tom, get out, he's winding me up.
Lots of ice.
And then a little jar,
like an old jam jar or something that you can clean out.
This one's from B&M.
This one we use for our overnight oats.
So I don't tend to have them, but Tom does.
But obviously it's just a jar.
I put about three, I like it quite strong,
three to four teaspoons of instant coffee in here.
A little bit of water in here.
I'm just using the filtered water from the fridge.
I've actually probably put a bit too much water in that,
if I'm being honest.
Nice tight lid.
If you like a sweet coffee, you could add syrup in here
or a teaspoon of sugar, a couple of teaspoons of sugar.
Brown sugar would be quite nice,
but I don't have it sweet,
so I'm good for just this.
And then give it a good shake.
I always do it over the sink, just in case.
Do you know who taught me how to make iced coffee like this?
What?
My au pair.
No.
Yeah.
That's how many years I've been doing it like this.
She, because she looked after us.
We had three au pairs between,
I was between the ages of-
Don't tell people that.
Out of touch.
I know, because-
We weren't incredibly wealthy, Tommy.
It was circumstances with the forces, with military.
I can tell people my truth.
Not showing off.
No, I'm not.
And we'll put milk.
This is just whole milk in the glass.
And of course, glass straw.
You know, the main addition that would be nice to this
is some cold foam on top,
but I don't think you can buy cold foam in England.
You have to make it.
And then I just simply pour that in.
Look at that.
Give it a little stir.
And yeah, like I said, if you like it sweeter,
definitely add sugar in the point
where you are shaking it in the jar,
which I used to do, but I don't need sugar anymore.
Looks good, that bread.
Tastes good.
Nice and refreshing.
I get through this so quick.
And if you don't like coffee too strong,
then I would say just stick to one to two teaspoons.
I like it quite strong.
Yeah, no, we had an au pair, three au pairs.
I was at boarding school at the time because we were-
Boarding school, au pairs.
It was paid for, forces.
It doesn't mean we were wealthy.
Tom just always says,
I've lived a different life, Tim, different planet.
But he's got to remember, with the military,
I think because where you were moving every two years
throughout your childhood,
you have the option to go to boarding school
and the fees were paid for.
I think 90% of the fees were paid for.
So it's not like I'd have been able to go to school
like that if it wasn't for that military lifestyle.
And then it keeps you grounded
whilst your parents are constantly moving every two years.
So that is why we did that.
And then my mum also always worked.
So she, there was a timeframe of about,
I want to say three years because we had three au pairs.
So I'm guessing it was one a year.
I was between the ages of maybe 11, 12 to 14
before we moved to America with dad's work.
So yeah, and she taught me how to make this iced coffee.
And I've been making it like this ever since.
Iced coffee, banana cake.
I might even just sit out on the patio
just to enjoy this whilst there's a nice breeze.
It's quite warm.
I will say that, but I'm okay with the warmth
if there's a bit of a breeze
and if the warmth is set at maximum 22 degrees,
which is what it is today.
Shut that door behind you
because otherwise it might be a bit too breezy on camera,
but I thought I would show you the Tesco's bits
that I picked up.
Firstly, the summer,
it's one of those things that a bit like the Christmas one,
I would say it's not necessarily worth
going out of your way,
but if you're there anyway,
then it is worth getting, I think.
And also in like contrast to the Christmas one,
if you know what I'm talking about,
if you remember the Christmas markets that Tesco did,
you had to buy two items from the promotional stands
where they've got loads of different stalls
with loads of freebies,
like taste tests, samples to take away,
like all sorts of different brands there.
You have to buy two products from any of those brands
in order to gain the goodie bag.
And this time it was three.
However, I did get the three items that I bought.
I just got these pop chips
that were part of the promotion.
So I got a multi-pack of the barbecue,
big pack of the barbecue
and big pack of the sour cream and onions.
These are the sort of thing that we put out
as and when we're having barbecues and hosting.
And then the snack packs were just like on the go
and they came to less than five pounds.
So essentially it's like a bag of free stuff,
but really you do have to pay.
So it's not really free.
So these are good cause I love these.
And these are some of the things that you could have bought
but cause I had a little sneak peek
as to what was in the goodie bags.
I saw these poking out.
I thought I'm not gonna buy them
because I know we'll get some for free.
25 sheets of laundry detergent, non-bio sheets.
Yeah.
And then also from Dr. Beckman,
the fabric conditioner sheets in fresh blossom.
And then cat food, which we're not gonna get through,
but we have a neighbor's cat that we could maybe give it to
and all the donation bank at the supermarket.
The can, I've got two cans in here.
Tropical peach from hip hop, naturally freshing.
That sounds delightful.
And then this sounds so delicious.
Fanta mango flavor.
Is this new?
Because I don't think I've ever heard
of mango flavored Fanta before.
And then there's loads of like vouchers and stuff.
There's a caramel fudge plant-based protein bar
from Misfits.
There is some mini cheddars.
They had these as well, which again, I was going to buy,
but I thought I'll try one of these little sample versions
instead, the low sugar granola nuts and seed from Lizzie's.
That's actually a really good individual portion size
for on a breakfast.
And then we've got some, yeah, some vouchers in here.
And we've got a couple of samples from Palmer's.
Cocoa butter, moisturizer, body lotion.
Yeah, just some random other vouchers from the brands
all within here too.
So that's the goodie bag, if you were interested.
The other things I got before I show you the shoes,
shoes, the clothes.
Oh, this is the latest free magazine.
I don't always pick these up,
but that on the front was calling my name.
Berries, in fact, we had something similar to this
without the biscuits the other night for dessert.
We had double cream,
kind of like a crushed, eaten mess type thing.
Fresh berries, so delicious.
So I thought, you know what?
I'm going to grab this and have a little flick through
for some ideas and inspo for some of the recipes
and new in a bit.
Also got a new scent of the, one of these gem deodorants.
Don't use these every day,
but I tend to use these more for like,
rather than like an everyday work from home day,
more like if I'm going out and about,
just because it's got quite a nice, strong scent.
It's almost like perfume, honestly.
This is in Santal.
Skincare infused, it's got hyaluronic acid,
vitamin E, shea butter.
And then we've got a new book
to add to the Laurie Gilmore range of books.
I've only read a couple of them.
The, which ones have I read?
Cinnamon Bun, the Pumpkin Spice, is it Pumpkin Cafe?
Pumpkin Spice Cafe, Cinnamon Bun Bookstore.
They've also got the Strawberry Pancake House.
I've not read that one.
The Gingerbread One, I've not read that.
And look, we've got a summer edition.
The Daisy Chain Flower Shop.
Very cute, so.
These are just incredibly easy,
lighthearted books to get through.
There's not much that goes on in terms of plot.
A little bit, there's a little bit
of all what's going on in them.
But for the most part, it's just quite a nice,
sets the scene, depending on the season you're in.
Book series to read, so yeah.
Grabbed that for, I think it was on off of like four pound
with the Tesco Clubhouse price.
And then I saw this range.
I want some more silver jewelry and accessories
and bits and bobs at most.
I was after like a bit more of a chunky statement necklace
like this, which I never wear.
I don't know anything like this.
But there are the odd outfit where I wear
like a plain dress or even a plain tee like today
with like some wide leg trousers or something.
Some nice flat sandals.
Just to have that little statement,
I say little, the statement necklace.
I thought this one was quite nice.
It's just on a black rope with the silver toggles,
silver statement part at the front.
And then kind of matching to go with it,
we've got a couple of silver bangles.
These were 10.50, 12 pound for the necklace
and eight pounds for this hair bobble.
Again, I always wear my hair up,
especially in the summer and the heat.
So to have like a nicer updo,
just like to add this little statement bobble,
I thought would be really nice.
And that's everything that I got from Tesco's
of interest that I haven't already put away
like food bits and bobs.
But then clothes, let me show you.
I went for this dress, which I showed you in store.
This halter neck dress.
I think it's actually designed to not just be a halter neck,
but you can kind of like twist it.
So it just doesn't go straight around your neck.
Or maybe you can do it like that,
but you can also twist it maybe.
I don't know, we'll try it.
But yeah, the fabric is lovely on that one.
22.50, I've got it in a size 12.
I've got these trousers.
I couldn't see a matching top to these.
And also these were in a size too big for me.
I'm usually like a 12 on the bottoms really,
but these ones were 15 pounds.
So I'll see if they fit,
but they do have a drawstring that you can pull in.
So hopefully they will.
And again, a bit like the trousers that I'm wearing today,
where I was saying a nice option to wear
in replacement for a jean or a legging.
Then these are a nice summery trouser option
to wear hopefully.
I thought this top was giving maybe vibes,
Molly Mae's brand.
With the structure, the colour,
nice like creamy acryl colour,
the button down detail, the ribbed fabric
is quite a nice thick.
You could wear some buttons undone
from the bottom, from the top.
And a nice little basic top to add to the collection.
I did decide to go for the pyjama set.
It's kind of pricey.
I mean, Tesco's, just because it's Tesco's,
same with all the supermarkets,
just because it's supermarket
does not mean that it's cheap.
And the bottoms are 18 pounds.
The top is 14 pounds.
But like I said, such a pretty set,
but also I wouldn't feel guilty
sort of wearing something like this
if I'm staying at home and just having a home day.
But like being in pyjamas all day,
that I might not necessarily sleep in these,
but they're just like a nice set
to wear for around the house.
This dress I thought would be lovely
as an option to wear in summer,
given that it's a bandeau.
I saw this last time I went in and didn't get it.
And I thought, actually, do you know what?
That is probably going to be a good staple dress option.
I like the fact that it's maxi.
So again, if you're feeling like you're not very tanned
or you want to cover up your legs,
I'm a leg cover-upper where possible.
So a dress like this is perfect.
It's got pockets, it's a nice two-tone ribbed white
and or like cream and a nice beige stone bottom half.
And then this dress is gorgeous.
It's kind of, I think it's going to be
like a one shoulder design, I believe.
It's hard to tell on camera,
but once I've got it on, I'll show you.
It has the pockets as well.
And this part is like a nice ribbed fabric.
And this one is more like a crinkle,
you know, just a nice, again, summer option.
And I think that one actually could be quite dressy.
It's a nice dressy option,
maybe again with like some pretty accessories,
some nice statement silver jewelry,
maybe my statement silver earrings that I've got
or like that cuff in my hair would be really nice as well.
And then again, as another good option
for in the really warm months,
especially pottering in the garden in the UK
to have this kind of a dress.
I thought, you know what?
I am going to go for it because again,
I get a lot of use out of dresses like this in the summer
in the UK and abroad.
Pockets as well.
I did mention in store,
the only thing I wasn't sure if I was a fan of are these,
but I can easily take them off.
This is another banjo option.
Again, this was a size too big for me.
So we'll see if it actually stays up
because I would say I'm more like bigger on the bottom half,
but it didn't feel too...
It's a size 14.
It feels more like a 12, I would say.
I think that will be absolutely fine.
This set is gorgeous.
It's not my usual Pantone that I would go for
because it's like a warm toned olive color,
but the set itself is so gorgeous as well.
Just like, you know what?
I really want to try it.
I love the detailing here
with the kind of resin tortoise shell.
I just think that's gorgeous.
Really nice little halter neck top.
Top is 16 pounds and the bottoms are 1950.
And then I also got this top.
I didn't go for the matching bottom half for this
because I didn't think it would suit me.
Again, I really love that chunky pebble stone
like addition to the top.
I think it elevates it
and makes it a really nice option for summer.
Size 12, 16 pounds.
And this would look nice with white linen bottom.
And then last but not least,
I've got the crochet set to try.
So I've got loads to try on.
Hopefully we'll find some good staples here,
maybe some bits that I can take away with me as well.
But the shorts are 16 pounds
and the top is 18 pounds in a medium.
And the top is sheer,
so as in it's just the crochet.
So I guess a nude bra would be fine.
And then the shorts are lined,
so the shorts do feel slightly thicker.
I'm not sure how well you saw these trousers early
when I showed you in my filming room,
but yeah, they're such a gorgeous.
I'll leave these exact one links linked
because I remember when I went into M&S,
I told you guys I tried on a few different varieties.
There was a linen fabric that I really liked,
but the fit wasn't as nice.
These ones are the nice, comfortable high-waisted,
if you like high-waisted, loose fit.
I am wearing the regular length,
but I did also pick up the long en route out.
And now that I've looked back
at the length of these in the mirror,
I actually don't think I'll need the long ones,
so I might even return them.
But if you're in between sizes,
the fact that they have that as an option is fab.
So yeah, and I've just got a little
white basic Primark tee on with it.
A red nose because I've just blowed my nose
from my hay fever allergies.
And that's me for the day.
But you see like a nice little statement,
I keep saying little statement.
It's contradicting myself.
A nice statement necklace like that silver one
would just kind of dress up this outfit a little bit.
And then with a little silver clutch.
Why do I add little as an adjective to everything?
Just a silver clutch or some kind of bag for the summer.
And you've kind of dressed up what is otherwise
a very casual, comfy outfit.
We're making a little bit of progress over here
with my Lego, my Harry Potter castle.
That is one half of it.
In fact, that's the small half,
which I am only,
I think I've got like three bags left to build.
And then the big half is in the other room.
And then they kind of like join together at the very end.
I love looking in all the little rooms.
A little chess board,
chamber of secrets down there.
There's some lotions and potions in there.
And what's this?
Pink room.
Can someone help me try and figure out what that is?
I can't work it out.
Got the bridge over there as well.
Some stained glass windows, some trees.
But yeah, that will soon be finished.
Then what does that say?
The chamber of secrets has been opened.
Enemies of the air, beware.
As for now, I feel like I'm gonna go ahead
and conclude this vlog here.
I need to remove the makeup,
take out my contacts,
put some eye drops in for me itchy eyes.
But considering this morning,
I was not in the mood for filming or not.
I was just in a,
I was having a bit of a ramp, wasn't I?
I feel like I have turned the day around
and I do feel much better this afternoon.
So, a win.
Hopefully you guys are having a good day
and I hope you have a lovely rest of your day
and I'll see you guys in my next video.
Bye guys.
