AI GeneratedA glimpse into daily life on a farm, featuring animal care, garden harvests, and family activities. The narrator shares updates on farm maintenance, introduces a litter of kittens, prepares refreshing cucumber water, and performs the national anthem at a local rodeo where her brothers participate in mutton busting.
There are lots of fun things happening on the farm this week and lots of things to update you on,
so join me as I take care of the animals and have fun doing it.
It is beautiful on the farm this morning. I'm very excited because the chicory just started
blooming, which is a really pretty purple flower that blooms in the morning when there's dew on
the ground, and once the sun starts coming out really hard then it closes. It's all along our
driveway and it is just so beautiful. We've got a little kitten here, so cute, and crazy pumpkin.
Back here in the barnyard I've been hearing some ticking recently, which means that the electric
fence is touching something that it's not supposed to, so I'm gonna go check that out. We have one
fence that connects to the whole entire farm, so if it's grounding in one spot then the whole fence
will stop working. Oh, I see it. It's hitting the tree here, but there isn't a really good way to
fix that. Why are the chickens following me? I don't even know how this became a problem. Maybe
the tree shifted over or something, but I can't, like, cut this tree and the fence can't be easily
moved away from it, so I'm thinking what we're gonna have to do is screw something into the tree
and run the hot wire through that so that it's not touching the tree, but it can still go through
there. I don't know. So that's something I need to tell dad about. Oh my goodness, look at this pig.
Hi, fig. Are you itching your head? Should I go in and say hi to you? Okay. Oh, don't bite it. No.
You're so funny. Dude, stop it. No. Okay, I'm gonna go in before he eats the wool.
What are you doing? What is that noise? Belly rubs.
Boom. Look at those big ears. Pigs have always kind of scared me because they have super sharp
teeth. He could easily snap through my leg if he wanted to, so I've always been very hesitant
with pigs, but Fig is just so friendly that I don't worry about him too much, but I'm still
always keeping an eye on him. I think pigs and bulls are the scariest animals on a farm. The
most aggressive, the most dangerous, but Fig's a good boy. And we have a good bull, too. He's very
relaxed. You just love attention, don't you? He's like a big dog. He just loves attention. Don't fall
on me. No. Fall that way. Mosquitoes back here are bad. I feel like I'm constantly covered in mosquito
bites because I'm always outside and I never use bug spray. He's falling on me. This guy probably
weighs like 200 pounds. Pigs are just chunks. They're just heavy. You wouldn't think they're
as heavy as they are, but they are. Look at him sitting down. You're shedding. Yeah. Their hair
is very coarse. It's not super soft. Oh. I have three cats in here with me. Four cats and two
chickens. They just follow me everywhere. The chickens have decided that they want to eat the
cat food lately, which is a little strange considering that the cat food is made out of
chicken. I try to throw them out to get them to stop eating it, but they just come right back in,
so it's a little annoying. Hi, Hermione. Hey, Rose. That one's a kitten.
Hello. This is the tiny baby. It's so much smaller than the other ones in the litter.
Hi. You're so cute. You are so cute. Are you a girl or a boy? I think it's a girl. I don't know.
They're kind of too little to tell still. Look who came down. Little Miss Sassy did.
What are you doing down here? The dogs just got fed, and the chickens are trying so hard to take
the food. Keep them out of your food. Say, that's my food. That would be so annoying. Hi. Go get
your food. They're eating it. Look at this. Are you done? Hi, Mo. They're eating hers now. You
guys can't look away for a second. I'm going to bring some water to the kittens upstairs
because they just ran out. Hello. Hi, babies. They always hide back there. I totally thought
with all the time that I spend with them that they would be friendly by now, but they've been
pretty hard to get through to, so I'm not sure when they will be fully comfortable with me.
Buddy. You know you're fine, right? Mama saw me. I think she's coming. Hi. There's no food up here,
sorry. Okay, so I need to tell you what I decided to name these babies. You guys all had some really
great name ideas, and it was really hard narrowing it down to one name for each, but I'm really happy
with the names that I decided on, so let me show you what they are. So this little orange guy right
here who's trying to eat from Mama, the name that I picked for him is Carrot. I think it's so cute.
And then this black and white boy, I decided on the name Rascal. I think that suits him and his
personality. Then this is the shy, quiet girl. For her, I really liked the name Tina. Then we have the
little runt here, the smallest one of them all. It's a little girl. And for her, I liked the name
Lacey. So she's gonna be Little Lacey. I think that's so cute. You are chugging that water.
And for the last one that is downstairs right now, the sassy calico girl, I decided that her name
is just gonna be Sassy because it suits her so well. She's very feisty, very sassy. If you know,
you know. So those are the kittens' names. Pumpkin, what are you doing? It is the next day, and I want
to make something quick. It has been really hot here lately, and every time I come inside from
working, I just chug a ton of water. So I want to make some cucumber water because it's really good,
and I made it in past years. So let's go out to the garden and grab everything that we need.
Okay, we got these. Now I need some mint.
I'm also gonna grab some kale to make a salad for lunch. That looks so good. And finally,
I'm gonna pick some marigolds because you can't go out to the garden without picking flowers.
Look at how beautiful these are. They're gorgeous.
Okay, here's everything we need. Now let's bring it inside.
Okay, I'm gonna chop up the cucumber, and I have a half gallon jar here. I'm just gonna put the
cucumbers in there. This is gonna be so good. I also have a lemon, and I'll put that in there too.
And finally, the mint, which is arguably the best part.
Okay, so tonight, my entire family is headed to our local rodeo. It's gonna be a lot of fun. We go
every year. And my five-year-old brother, Oren, is actually gonna be mutton busting. So he's gonna
be riding a sheep. My 11-year-old brother, Eli, is actually the reigning grand champion of the
mutton busting there. So let's see how Oren does. Say thank you. Thank you. All right, let's go.
Pretty Bronx.
It is very hot out. We just ate dinner, and apparently I'm singing the national
anthem at the rodeo tonight. So I'm gonna stick around for that.
I want to hear it as one great big choir, if you would. So from the seats, from the bottoms
of your lungs, to the top of your heart, please join in our national anthem by the one and only
Miss Evelyn August.
So I didn't record as much as I wanted to, but last night was pretty fun. The rodeo was great,
and the national anthem went well, although I did start singing it a little bit too low,
and I was like the whole time, but it went well. And I had no idea that I was going to be singing
it. I've done it in past years, and so when we went there, I just volunteered if they needed
someone to do it, I could do it. And sure enough, they wanted someone, so I was able to do it,
and it was a lot of fun. I think I'm gonna be ending this video here. I know I haven't recorded
too much, but I've also been recording two other videos at the same time of this one,
so it's been a little bit chaotic. But I hope you enjoyed this video, and seeing a couple days
of my life, and getting a few updates on the farm. Definitely subscribe if you would like
to stick around. God bless you, and I will see you in the next one.
