Alright, here's what's going on. This is a great place to start here. We've got sunshine this morning, just beautiful weather, sunshine mixed with some clouds.
It may be mostly cloudy where you're at, and if you do see clouds this morning, I think we're going to transition over to partly cloudy skies as we go through the afternoon today.
Temperature still very cool, very comfortable. 63 degrees at the Lakeshore, 66 degrees at Midway, 65 degrees at O'Hare, 59 degrees in Woodstock this morning.
It's 62 degrees in DeKalb, 62 degrees also in Kankakee. So we're starting out with some cool temperatures. These are going to be the coolest temperatures we're going to see over the next 7 days from here on out.
The heat starts to crank up, and especially those overnight low temperatures, not so much in the 50s and 60s, more so in the maybe low 70s coming up for much of the next 7 days.
Forecast high temperatures today are still very pleasant. Temperatures pretty close to 80 degrees. I think we'll make it into the low 80s in some cases.
You don't see that represented very clearly here on the map. I think our models are reflecting some cloud cover here that's going to suppress the temperatures.
But anywhere from about 78 to about 82, maybe up to 83 in some southern spots.
Satellite and radar, we are cloudy across parts of the area here this morning, but you just saw from that picture, there's some clouds and sunshine downtown.
Clouds that we have this morning will continue to thin out as we head towards the afternoon.
Tomorrow gets very warm and even hotter as we head towards Monday. Those temperatures back into the 90s. We'll talk more about that coming up.
