business owners. Crews spending much of the day working on Homestead Avenue originally to install
a new utility pole. During that work they discovered water leaking from a pipe. Hours
later crews still working to uncover the source of the leak and determine the problem. The Holy
Department is pumping water from the hole out into the road so that they can clear that area

on Route 202 and the owner says it's made him uneasy. I don't know what's going to happen what
people are going to think because people when the people see cops and other stuff like that they

flowing into the parking lot of his restaurant and felt the need to seek answers for himself.
I don't think it's a big crack in it light crack because it's a 32 inch pipe
feeding whole Holyoke. It was a big crack I'd be flood here by now crazy so thank God for that
little hit you know. Officials from Holyoke Water Works say they don't know when the issue will be
resolved how long it will take to repair or what exactly is causing this to happen. As for now a
representative with the water department says the water will remain on and residents will not
lose access. Traffic congestion in the area of Homestead Avenue will increase as crews work.
