There were two lieutenant colonels and two majors on board the Russian Tu-95MS aircraft that crashed in the Amur region on September 29, the Exilenova+ Telegram channel reports .
According to reports, eight people died in the plane crash. At least three of the deceased Russians were involved in supporting and organizing missile strikes on Ukraine.
They also personally participated in giving and executing criminal orders to launch air-launched cruise missiles at densely populated cities, energy and civilian infrastructure facilities that were not military targets.
Media previously reported that the preliminary cause of the Tu-95MS military aircraft crash was a fuel explosion. There were seven people on board, six of whom were killed. One person was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
The Telegram channel "єRadar" noted that the aircraft was likely armed with cruise missiles. The flight was intended to relocate to the Olenya airfield.
Media also reported that aviation expert Valery Romanenko called the crash of the Russian Tu-95MS military bomber "God's punishment," since, in his words, such incidents are "extremely rare for Russians." According to Romanenko, the fully fueled aircraft was taking off from Ukrainka Airfield, located in Russia's Amur Region, seven thousand kilometers from Ukraine. He suggested that the plane was preparing to fly to Olenya Airfield or another airfield to participate in air strikes in Ukraine. However, during takeoff, three engines failed ; the aircraft crashed and burned. The aviation expert noted that the crew members attempted to use parachutes but perished. When asked about the failure of three engines, Romanenko emphasized that this is “a rather rare event.”
"The previous Russian accident occurred 11 years ago, and if we're talking about the crew's death, it was 41 years ago. This means it's an extremely rare event for Russians. And it really does look like God's punishment," he said. Furthermore, in response to a question about the technical explanation for this, the aviation expert recalled our strikes on Russian oil refineries, specifically those that produced aviation fuel.
"The weather conditions are ideal for flights now. There's no frost, and there were no severe weather conditions in the area. The only possible cause for three engines to fail simultaneously is the fuel system. Or the control system. This will be investigated. No preliminary conclusions have been reached, but if three engines failed at once, then it's a fuel issue," Romanenko said. Regarding the number of Tu-95MS aircraft the enemy has that it can use to strike Ukraine, the expert cited data from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense. It reported that the Russians had a total of 38 such aircraft in the summer. On August 28, a drone destroyed one Tu-95 at the Engels air base.
"The bomber that crashed today is the second lost aircraft. Therefore, the remaining fleet of these aircraft in Russia—in the two regiments where they are in service—numbers approximately 36 aircraft. But that's the total number, and it's unknown how many of them are actually airworthy," he emphasized.
