And now, as we reported on earlier,
for more on the U.S. sanctioning the ICC, joining us is David Wormser,
Middle East affairs analyst at the Center for Security Policy.
Thanks for joining us this evening, David.
Your reactions to the State Department's actions today, which seem timed
with the announcement of a Nobel Peace Prize for one of the former ICC judges.
Yeah, well, that that that was quite an appointment
or award by by the Nobel Committee, given her record of both corruption
and anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism. But yeah, I welcome the decision a lot
because we really have a problem with this ICC, and it is not only the ICC,
but the fact that some of our more important allies are members of it,
and they're trying to impose on us a law code that we never agreed to,
and we never would agree to, which essentially is an effort
to try to undermine the sovereignty of the United States
and create a top-down governance structure over the United States.
And David, you mentioned anti-Semitism, anti-Americanism, and corruption.
Can you give some examples that show a political bias of the ICC?
Well, yeah, I mean the the the fact that they
are pretty much exclusively trying to go after Israel and trying also to,
not as much, but still trying to go after U.S. servicemen.
When you look around the world at the large amount of crimes going on.
That that are done by governments against other governments or against other
populations and so forth, and you see that there's a complete silence.
And many of the people who are appointed to these courts
and run these courts are from countries that are the most egregious violators
of these of these rules and laws that they want to make international law.
And and and so, you had the former Khan,
who was head of this court, and what he did.
He was first of all, he was a corrupt person. He was accused of rape.
But all he did to try to cover it up,
and make himself immune to the accusations of corruption and rape.
He just obsessively pursued Israel.
That's uh, excuse that's the International Court of Justice.
The picture that you just had there,
which is another institution that is problematic.
