Welcome back. Okay, no snow, but how beautiful is this?
Like, imagine you're sipping a cup of coffee inside one
of the shops here, looking at the rain, the leaves.
Oh, Flagstaff, so gorgeous.
The rain that's coming down is not super heavy.
This is just some showery conditions that are passing on by.
A good chunk of the state actually seeing these scattered showers.
Winds are up.
You are certainly feeling those in the high country,
gusting to 30 miles per hour right near it in Show Low,
and then over 40 miles per hour from
Flagstaff all the way through Snow Bowl.
So, yeah, there are some windy conditions out there,
but otherwise it is really delightful.
Gusts to 30 miles per hour around the Williams area
and in that 25 up to 40 mile
per hour range over portions of the Grand Canyon.
Yeah, I mean, this is exactly what we were expecting.
Wind, rain, cooler temps.
And that's what we're going to see throughout the day today.
Here's our view on Fox Vision of those scattered showers.
Like I said, mostly just light.
That's why you're just seeing the light green
on radar that's rolling on through.
We are zooming into the valley where there's
a few more scattered showers moving along the East Valley.
And I will say this.
Unfortunately, West Valley, I'm sorry yet again,
but it's more likely that as the morning goes on,
we're going to continue in this sort of general flow
and path than for much to move farther to the west.
So the East Valley is going to continue
with these kind of showery conditions.
And the West Valley, aside from some more isolated showers,
are probably going to remain on the drier side of this pattern.
Here we go. This is a little further to the south,
kind of around Florence, looking at a few showers passing by.
And if we zoom in, you can see that it's really quite spotty,
but passing Sun Lakes and Chandler, sliding up into Gilbert,
a couple of sprinkles moving on through right now.
There's the view a little bit farther to the east,
where in Gila County, same thing.
It's very scattered showers,
but globe area up to White River getting some of this rain.
Of course, this comes roughly a year ago when we had
that second round of horrible flooding in the Globe-Miami area.
Good news is this is not heavy like that,
so it's just some wet weather to start the day.
Scattered showers from Payson to Flagstaff, Prescott to Camp Verde.
There was that flood warning until 8 a.m. between Camp Verde and Payson
as a result of all the rain we've seen days and days and days now
starting to kind of add up in the creeks, rivers, and streams.
Our future cast.
So the model is showing us there's those showers in the East Valley.
And notice how they continue to kind of wrap through
the same general area until about midday.
This is noon, starting to pull out of Phoenix,
moving more so into north and eastern Arizona,
which is where chances will remain
this afternoon before they clear out overnight.
How much additional rain?
Just to the northeast of the valley,
we could see maybe a quarter to a half an inch,
more like a tenth to a quarter at the higher number for the valley.
So not a ton of rain.
And then same thing far north, northeast parts of the state,
in that quarter to half inch range is what we're looking at.
Forecast temperatures for you, 51 in Flag,
56 in Prescott, 71 Lake Havasu, 72 in Bullhead City
and 79 here in the Valley where we'll stay through tomorrow before we
do warm back to those 80s and that will last the rest of the 10 day.
