Happy Tuesday, everyone.
I'm meteorologist Claire Anderson in the Fox 13 Weather Center.
A cloudier day across the board as we were forecasting,
and we do see a few more clouds to start our Wednesday.
With the morning chance of a sprinkle,
but the good news is the sunshine returns
by this time tomorrow as well as Thursday and Friday.
Now, we are going to warm up to end the week.
High pressure rebuilds with some offshore flow,
bringing those temperatures back into the 70s,
which could be the last of the season.
Now, we do see an unsettled weekend with some shower chances
on Saturday, drier Sunday, but then shower chances
into early next week with temperatures back into the 60s.
But let's take a closer look at those forecast temperatures.
Today, we hit the low 60s for SeaTac, Tacoma, and Bremerton,
which is actually right around seasonal average for this time of year.
But each day moving forward, we do get a little bit warmer.
looking at the temperature trend this shows
a good example of showing you mid-60s Wednesday
over 10 degrees warmer for Thursday
and Friday beautiful conditions, get outside and enjoy it, 60s
into Saturday, Sunday, then into Monday, Tuesday
but I did want to kind of look when's our last
average 70 degree day in Seattle, well October 8th
is typically over the last records our last day
Now, Friday, that is October 16th, so enjoy the 70s,
a little bit past the seasonal average.
Now, looking at our Doppler radar for today,
we do see this weak front moving through,
bringing the clouds across the state
with a sprinkle here and there throughout the day.
I've been saying sprinkle because into this evening,
we've seen less than a tenth of an inch out along the coast.
A few sprinkle chances again into tomorrow morning.
But here's 11 o'clock tonight,
clouds out towards the coast with those early showers moving in.
So by the time you wake up, most of the rain will be done.
But if your car is outside on the grass,
you'll see some of those showers out there, some light rain.
Scattered showers to start tomorrow in Wenatchee as well.
But notice by lunchtime, we do start to see nicer, drier conditions.
That's as high pressure starts to build,
bringing more sunshine as well as those warmer temperatures.
That continues right into Thursday, some morning fog to start the day.
But another beautiful day Thursday,
repeat of that heading into our Friday.
Now, how much rain are we talking about with this?
Well, again, very light amount.
If anything, out towards the coast, it'll be about a tenth of an inch,
just over that, and a few hundredths of an inch.
Mostly, again, those early morning showers moving through.
I do want to point out, heading into tonight, a little bit breezy
into early tomorrow morning with that weak system moving through.
Not a whole lot of wind for Wednesday, but what I do want
to show you is by Thursday morning, we start to see offshore flow.
We will start to see some gustier winds through the Cascade Gaps.
That's what makes it that warmer wind, especially in the fall.
Gold Bar, North Bend, Snoqualmie Pass,
Enumclaw, the Cascade Foothills.
You'll see those gustier winds to start the day.
That continues into Thursday afternoon.
Also, even into late Thursday, early Friday.
Temperatures tonight, a lot milder compared
to what we saw the last several nights.
The clouds moving in.
Those shower chances bump up
those temperatures in the 30s into the 40s.
Early chance mid-60s, and then your extended forecast,
we see those 70s return by Thursday, Friday.
We'll be right back.
