We have some changes coming up. It could include a little bit of rain.
Meteorologist Noah Bergeron is here.
Yeah, no, just a few sprinkles tomorrow. Correct.
Starting tomorrow and every day pretty much the rest of the week. Now,
nothing like we had last week, which is probably one of the wetter
That was enough for a while. Correct.
We put a down payment in for that for a while, but probably one
of the wettest weeks we'll have in a while here last week.
Now tomorrow we'll start to bring in some sprinkles
and some light showers each day and they're all going to move
from east to west and that's going to last several days. It's not
going to really change until probably sometime next week.
So each day where there's still
sunshine but there'll be some puffy cumulus clouds
and from those a passing shower or two
is possible here and there.
Now the second headline I want to pass along to you is very
windy weather. Starting Saturday
and going for about 10 days we're going to have daily wind
gusts for all of central Florida peaking between 30
and 45 miles an hour. Highest being on the
immediate beaches. And we can get some windy spells in fall and winter.
This will be one of
the longer ones we've had in a couple of years just
because of the weather pattern that's going
to set up is going to promote a lot of wind across Florida,
specifically our area. Now what that'll
mean for the beaches is really some dangerous beach conditions
and not just for a day or two.
We're talking probably about 7 to 12 foot surf.
Yes, 7 to 12 foot surf and there's definitely
going to be some erosion.
We have a lot of vulnerable coast here because of recent hurricanes
dating back 10 years ago. A lot of winter storms.
A lot of our beach is more vulnerable than you
may think for something like this.
So there definitely is going to probably be a lot of
sand loss and some erosion in areas,
particularly in Volusia County, between this weekend and next
week because of just a week and a half of really high pounding surf
and 40-45 mile an hour winds.
No winds out there tonight. It's a pretty evening.
That's the view from I-Drive. 77 now in Orlando.
78 in New Smyrna, 76 in Titusville, and 82 currently.
The warm spot in Cocoa Beach. Radar tonight is clear over us.
We do have a couple of sprinkles here just off the Space Coast.
This is an indicator of some more moisture that is moving in.
That will be with us more prominently starting tomorrow.
All right, so high pressure over the south.
There's a big front in the Midwest.
Some severe weather tonight from Kansas City down to Oklahoma City,
indicating that fall is here.
The fact we're having severe weather there.
Notice the temperature. 78 is what it feels like now in Orlando.
85 is what it feels like in Missouri. 72 Chicago.
So there's a lot of warmth, way warmer than what's normal
in the middle part of the country here currently.
Now the rainy season generally comes to an end about the middle
of October. Our cold fronts start to arrive to get lower humidity.
no more daily sea breeze storms
and right on cue it's going to start about now the rainy season
mid-May to mid-October will end up about seven
and a half inches of rain below normal in Orlando
Daytona slightly above about an inch and a half
so it wasn't quite uniform this rainy season
and Ocala going to end about four
and a half inches of rain below normal for the 2026 season
again that runs mid-May to mid-October all right
so here's your out the door forecast for tomorrow
a bit warmer and a touch more humid 71 at 6:45
at 9 we'll push in a few clouds by noon 84 and there
might be a couple of sprinkles midday
into the afternoon tomorrow moving from east to west
temperatures tomorrow middle to high 80s again
a little bit warmer than what it's typically
supposed to be this time of year here
are those little light sprinkles and showers and notice as
we go through the day tomorrow definitely some more clouds
and a shower here a sprinkle there
but notice it's not a lot and this is the evening
tomorrow here 6:30 just a sprinkle or two here and
there and we'll do that every day heading forward Friday
a slightly better chance of some PM showers
especially the southern half of the area
then the wind comes in and the temperatures come down
afternoon highs only in the lower 80s
and really really windy this weekend heading into next week
Noah thank you coming up tonight the Rays trying to even the series
Thank
you.
