With stories that matter to you, this is Fox 6 News at 9.
Now at 9 is a live look from Los Angeles as Game 3
of the National League Championship Series,
it is in full swing.
The Brewers, they're looking to build on their lead.
And back here at home, hundreds are watching outside.
AmFam Field will take you to the official watch party.
It's happening right now.
A new body camera video shows
the moment a Milwaukee police officer
shoots an armed 17 year old we'll take you through the video
and the charges the teen is now facing
but first of all we got to start with our big story
the Brewers look to take a commanding
lead in the NLCS they go in up two games
to none game three is underway out in LA let's check out
the score right now what if we told you it's a one-run game
because all these things have been
the Dodgers just struck back after
the Brewers struck first they're getting in later into the
game now so we will see as they are now in the top
of the seventh inning that has just begun
from american family field all the way out
to dodger stadium we've got you covered sam kramer
holding it down with the fans at amfam
but first let's go out to ted perry out in los angeles ted
good evening guys where the weather has cooled a bit
and the uh dodgers have warmed up a little bit
the dodger crowd had been fairly quiet up until
that sixth inning where they took a two-to-one
lead. Little did they know that every Brewer fan in the place,
and there are a smattering of Brewer
fans, were saying to themselves, aha,
we got you just where we want you, down by one run. It seems
to be when the Brewers excel the most.
So every Brewer fan in there not panicking just yet, but
the Dodgers have taken the lead,
and it was the only time on that Will Smith double that brought
in two runs, the only time we've heard
this place erupt since the first pitch was hit out of the
ballpark by Jackson Chirillo.
The crowd has been silenced since that. Let's see how things are
going. It's probably just the reverse at American Family Field.
Had been pretty boisterous and then
probably got a little bit quiet for a minute, Sam Kramer.
Sure has and astutely put there,
Ted Perry. Hello again from UW Credit Union Plaza
outside American Family Field where it is as cool
as it has been all night it's
also perhaps as quiet as kind of ho-hum the crowd of again 3,000
people here who snagged those free tickets within just
a couple of minutes for this watch party for
game three of the NLCS
but a lot of folks once they get in here about an hour before the game
starts when the brewers allow the gates
to open they kind of get their seat ready they find a
drink vendor they find a food vendor in fact people
were still in line when this happened
on the first pitch
those were the cheers when Jackson
Chirillo led this game off with a home run
again on Blake Snell's first pitch of the ball game since
then he has basically dominated and
there hasn't been a whole lot to cheer
for at least offensively for the brewers fans that are
here had a lot of interesting conversations
with those that are here about whether they are allowing
themselves emotionally spiritually mentally uh kind
of grapple with the fact that this team is
two wins away from the world series knowing
the success that they have had in the regular season
over the last what decade or so and then it's all come crumbling down
in october still there's just
something about this year
that feels different they say deep down you believe it but right now
you almost can't let yourself believe it yeah i mean like i've
been i believe i have been to like
34 games this season and I've been to really really good games
and really really bad games
so uh you just can never count out the billion
dollar Dodgers and it always seems to come back
to money at least uh criticizing
the two-time reigning World Series champ so as you mentioned
top of the seventh two to one the score Dodgers have
the lead no outs Christian Yelich is now
pinch running for Andrew Vaughn who is on first base
and if we're lucky this crowd will erupt
again, Ted, and your crowd will perhaps go back to being quiet.
And it would be great if it happened
at the hands of a Southern California kid,
Jake Bowers, up to bat right now. He would like to
have more success in this stadium than he did
in his high school state title game, which he lost
here at Dodger Stadium. All right, Sam,
I'll let you get back to your watch party. Meanwhile, here
at Dodger Stadium. There are not
as many Brewers fans here as there are
at American Family Field. You can bet your bottom
dollar on that. But we found a
smattering of them, of course, including
a family from Brookfield who
decided to make this a two-for-one deal.
And how did it come about?
Well, I knew that the Badgers are playing Saturday
against UCLA. They're big Brewer fans.
And as soon as I saw that scheme
could match up, I decided
only live once it's time to get out to L.A. and watch
this thing happen. And he is
watching this thing happen, David is.
and he's going to meet up with more people on Saturday
because the Badgers, as he mentioned there,
playing UCLA, undefeated UCLA,
a surprisingly undefeated UCLA,
Saturday at the Rose Bowl.
So they're hoping to see two games here.
They want to see the Brewers wrap it up,
take Friday off, go have a fun Saturday
out at the Rose Bowl in beautiful Pasadena.
Guys, we'll check in at 10 o'clock.
I hope the script is a little different then,
but you know how the season has gone.
this postseason especially one run games tight often decided
at the last pitch so nothing's
nothing's done yet
so the family is not even warming up yeah top of the seventh such yeah
plenty of time right where we want them yeah
exactly all right ted thanks okay let's talk
about the weather the cold temperatures
and chances for rain are not keeping the brewers
fans away from the watch parties yeah
but i hope they brought a jacket out there because
we've cooled down Tom
Oh, we sure have.
And we're about to get pretty rainy around here, guys.
Let me show you what's going on tonight.
Because we are quiet and mostly cloudy,
as we have been all day long today.
Here's a live look where the land ends and the water begins.
Right over the east side of Milwaukee,
Here's Capitol Drive right there.
And then, of course, Lake Michigan.
57 degrees.
That's our current temperature after a high of 62 today.
It's that northeast wind, though.
It's biting tonight.
dew point 48 air pressure on the rise for now
but a big drop in that department tomorrow temperatures
look at this Sheboygan you're at 48 everybody else holding
on to the 50s as this cloud cover
will be sticking around now here's the deal
with tomorrow temperatures will hold in the 50s all
night cloudy skies in the morning the rain moves in around noon
so around midday and i'm telling
you this rain is going to pick up significantly
by mid to late afternoon i've got new data for
you with Sky Vision Plus. We'll look
at it together coming up in a few minutes. Back over
to you. All right, thanks.
New tonight, a Milwaukee police officer is recovering from
serious injuries after a pursuit ends
with the suspect beating the officer with his own firearm
magazine. This is where the police chase ended near 48th and Hadley.
Police say that two suspects
fled on foot after the car they were in crashed into a tree.
A 19-year-old was caught quickly,
but the 22-year-old driver scuffled with an officer.
Investigators say the man tried to disarm
the officer before grabbing a magazine from the officer's vest,
hitting him several times with it.
Eventually, he was arrested.
The officer has been released from the hospital, recovering at home,
where multiple guns and drugs were found in the crashed car.
Newly released video shows the moments
a Milwaukee police officer shoots an armed 17-year-old in an alley.
This happened on the South Side two weeks ago.
Christina Van Zelst in the newsroom with a look
at that video capturing what the officers saw from their body camera.
Kim, this is video from an officer
involved shooting back on September 30th.
The man who ran from police was shot in the leg
and is in custody tonight.
This all started with a shots fired call.
On September 30th, Milwaukee police responded
to shots fired near 15th and Greenfield.
People who live there flagged officers to a group on dirt bikes.
Officers followed that group into the alley near 8th
and Scott when prosecutors say 17-year-old
Eutham Rodriguez-Lacorte took off.
Prosecutors charged Rodriguez-Lacorte with second-degree
recklessly endangering safety, use of a weapon,
possessed dangerous weapon under the age of 18,
and resisting or obstructing an officer.
Police say Rodriguez-Lacorte was masked and had a rifle.
Despite multiple commands to stop and drop the gun,
police say he refused and that's what an officer shot him in the leg.
This is video Rodriguez-Lacorte's father shared
with Fox 6 showing the aftermath of the shooting.
Investigators recovered 20 casings
in an alley near 15th and Greenfield.
Prosecutors say those casings matched the firearm Rodriguez-Lacorte had
when they arrested him near 8th and Scott.
Rodriguez-LaCourte's bond is set at $30,000.
That officer who fired the shots
is a 26-year-old man with three years of service.
He is on administrative duty.
It's a routine, and officer-involved shootings.
In the newsroom, Christina Van Zylst, Fox 6 News.
All right, Christina, thank you.
That body camera does show a different angle of what happened there.
Six people are dead, including a child,
after a plane crash in Sauk County.
And now we're hearing from a man who heard it all happen
and thought it was something completely different than a plane crash.
Okay, plus we've got to get to what's happening at the baseball game.
It's not happening here in Milwaukee.
The Brewers have just hit back-to-back home runs.
But maybe you heard the cheers from American Family Field from that watch party.
For two Brewers, people are going crazy.
Like in the last ten minutes, this has happened.
We'll show you all the fans.
We're going to bottle up the action for you the best we can.
Stay with us here on Fox 6 News at 9.
You're watching Fox 6 News with Ben Handelman and Tim Murphy.
Six people are dead after a plane crashes in Sauk County.
It happened Tuesday night.
The Sauk County Sheriff's Office says everyone on board died,
including a child.
Drone video from the morning shows the plane crashed
into the woods not far from several homes.
The NTSB says the small,
fixed-wing Piper was flying back from Kenosha to Menominee.
The pilot radioed about some ice issues and got permission to descend.
Soon after, air traffic control lost data and communication.
One man who lives four miles away
from the crash site says he heard the impact,
and at first he thought it was a crash on the interstate.
Terrible. I'll remember that sound for quite a while now.
Investigators are focused
on three primary areas right now, the plane, the pilot,
and the operating conditions last night.
The NTSB will have a preliminary report
on the crash within the next month.
Let's talk about the weather. It's cool out there.
I don't think the fans outside American Family Field could care.
No, when you're jumping up, you know, I mean, you get heated.
What a seventh so far, huh?
Yes.
Wow.
You know, I quickly want to go back to,
and we can stay here with the boxes with us,
want to talk about this plane crash from last night.
Yeah.
Because if you recall,
there was a thunderstorm near the Dells at the time,
and there were thunderstorms in Kenosha.
So we don't know, obviously, if weather has played a role here,
but can tell you that there were storms around.
Yeah, and we were talking about this earlier,
the report of icing issues.
Can you talk about that, Tom?
Because obviously we're like icing issues.
Yes, of course.
So if they were high up, and it's not that high up this time of year,
if they were flying through a thunderstorm,
let's say, and the wings were wet,
and now you are up below freezing,
so you're at altitude below freezing,
yeah, significant icing obviously is possible, right?
And if you get icing on those wings,
it weighs you down and bad things can happen.
So, again, we don't know exactly what happened there.
But I can just tell you from a weather standpoint, at about 930
last night, there were thunderstorms in the Wisconsin Dells area.
So for what that's worth, obviously,
we will see what comes out of that with time.
But regardless, it's absolutely tragic and heartbreaking
what happened over there last night just about 24 hours ago.
Well, let's talk about our weather tonight because, you know,
I love this shot because it's where the land ends and the water begins.
And you can see here over the east side of Milwaukee,
just the very eastern side, that's Capitol Drive.
See the lights and there's the water.
And then you see the clouds overhead tonight.
All right.
So let's talk about our forecast.
62.
That was our high today.
That was it with the overcast skies.
57 right now.
The wind is out of the northeast, so it's coming in off the lake.
Dew point 48, so that has dropped.
Air pressure is on the rise.
However, it's going to drop significantly by this time tomorrow night.
So a big, big pressure drop in the next 24 hours.
And I've had a lot of folks tell me
that they feel the big pressure drops.
But it's not just that. The pressure is going
to drop significantly in the next 24 hours.
And then by Friday night, it's going to significantly rise.
So we're going to have big changes in both directions
in the air pressure department in the next 48 hours.
So that's just important to mention if you feel a little off,
maybe headaches, that sort of a thing,
because that air pressure and the big swings
can have an impact on the human body.
So that is just something to be mindful of here
in addition to the rain that we're going to talk about
as we head through the next couple of days.
50s in most areas tonight.
Plymouth, you're at 49, 53, Kewaskum, 55, New Berlin.
Now, what's interesting is we haven't had
a big temperature change today because of the cloud cover.
So that's why temperatures have held relatively steady.
It is colder up to the northwest.
Boy, look at Eau Claire in the lower 40s right now.
They've cleared out a little bit,
so that's why they've cooled down so much.
You see the rain off to the west.
Let's talk about this here.
Now, there are two storm systems of note,
one up in Canada, one in the Intermountain West.
And what's going to happen tomorrow is both
of these systems are going to head in our direction.
They are going to merge as they head towards us.
In meteorology, we call that coming in phase.
So they're going to be phasing together as they come towards us.
And that is going to lead to quite a bit of rain for us in a relatively
short amount of time during the afternoon hours tomorrow.
So we have new data.
Let's take a look at it together with Sky Vision Plus.
We'll take you through here hour by hour.
Now, I don't think we'll have any issues in the morning.
Maybe we'll have just a couple of light rain showers during
the morning hours, but it's really by lunchtime.
That's when we're going to start to see the rain starting.
So, again, a start time for the rain of noon.
Now, watch this.
3 p.m., this is moderate rain and even a few rumbles in here as well.
No severe weather expected, but some rumbles are certainly possible.
This is the start of the heaviest part of the system.
So, mid-afternoon, it really picks up.
Watch by 5 p.m. It continues. Right. Now we go to 6:30, 7 o'clock.
Couple more thunderstorms in there as well.
By 9 o'clock, it gets lighter.
So let's say the heaviest part of this system, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
That's where the bulk of the rain is going to fall from the system.
We may see some breaks Thursday night, light rain coming on through.
And then look at this. Northwesterly winds
on Friday gusting over to about 40 miles per hour.
And then we have more rain showers on Friday.
So let's take a look at the precipitation amounts,
which are likely to be over an inch.
Most of that falling by Thursday evening.
So, again, that's the way this is all looking here.
It's going to be a very wet Thursday afternoon and evening,
very windy Friday with rain showers,
frosty Saturday morning, warming back up on Sunday,
a lot of sun over the weekend.
Well, that is the latest from here.
We'll have more news for you after the break.
Stay with us.
After a big win over their rival Bears,
the Packers are hoping to carry that momentum into Sunday night
as the Dallas Cowboys come to Green Bay,
and they will be relying a lot on a shot caller, Jordan Love.
The shot caller.
TVV has the story from his trip to Green Bay earlier today.
The Packers got off to that slow start this season, 2-2,
and nobody took it harder than Jordan Love,
as in nobody was hit harder than Jordan Love.
But boy, he bounced back with a monster game against
the Chicago Bears last Sunday.
Obviously, you know, his poise and his ability to just stay even-keeled
through the thick and thin and just,
you know, being able to handle adversity
just kind of confirmed what I already knew about him.
How about his toughness?
Can you say how about his toughness to get through all those hits?
Oh, yeah.
No, I mean, he's a different breed.
You know, obviously we all know he can throw the football,
but he's going to put everything on the line for it too,
and obviously to be able to handle all that is big time.
You know, I felt very clean in the pocket,
had time to throw, get through my reads,
and it's one of those things where you look at it week to week
and see what we can do better and what we can clean up.
But I think definitely the last two games have
been some pretty good pockets all around.
The statistics are off the chart for Love against the Bears.
His toughness really resonating with his teammates
in the locker room and on the field.
At Lambeau Field, Tim Van Voren, Fox 6 Sports.
She may be Milwaukee's oldest Brewers fan,
and she got an early start on Game 3 festivities.
We're going to take you out to Wauwatosa,
where she and her Brewers besties got a nice treat before first pitch.
And she's not the only person excited.
We are live.
Thousands of fans will take you to Amphan Field
where they're hanging out in that brand-new plaza.
Sam Cramer's there, too, as we watch.
Oh, touching our noses.
Touching our noses.
Touching our noses.
That's good luck for the Brewers to win this game, Game 3.
So far, so good.
Back in a moment.
Chief Meteorologist
Tom Wachs.
All right, let's bring you up to speed.
Right now, the score of Brewers up 4-2.
We are at the top of the eighth.
oh they're pushing to make the lead even bigger tonight
this is game three the brewers have a 2-0
lead if they win tonight there have been few teams
to ever come back from an 0-3 deficit so
the Brewers would definitely be in the driver's seat
but there's still a lot of game to go it's
only a two-run lead but the Brewers do currently have
the lead i think the vibe has probably
changed since the last time we talked
to Sam Kramer oh i bet people are like standing now
Sam live at the watch party
at AmFam Field how's it going out there just a little bit just a little
bit different from when we last saw you guys oh about an inning ago
when the Brewers trailed this
game two to one that is no longer the score they lead four
to two after Jake Bauers hits a two run
home run on the 11th pitch of an at-bat against the Dodgers.
He seemed to be an ace tonight at
least, Blake Snell. A lot similar
to the at-bat he had against Yoshinobu Yamamoto in game two when
he worked him to 12 pitches.
drew a walk that time so that Christian Yelich could come up
and drive in two runs.
This place went berserk and here's how it sounded.
So we're standing
on tables,
throwing drinks
in the air,
waving towels,
high-fiving
people we
don't know again it's like the game is happening here
though it's happening two time zones away so
yeah it there's a livelier vibe here
at the UW Credit Union Plaza again as the Brewers lead
and look to take what would be a commanding three games
to none lead in this NLCS guys
so i don't want to say ted was right
but the nose touching yeah the nose touching thing
the barrel man yeah that might have been i will raise my hand
and say i questioned it it and it
felt wrong in the moment it did i don't know why i'm asking you
but i need you to touch my nose
bernie was there i was going earlier
and you're like you don't have to do that sam just because
ted's trying to peer pressure you well he did
and it was awkward but thank you because i think it's
it's making a difference sam creamer well what's
happening behind you yep what's happening behind
you we've got we've got bryce terang just made it
from first to third on a single from william
contreras so they're set up again with a chance to score
and add some insurance runs this is like
the best way to watch the game i'm serious
this reminds me uh you know is that a cow yes there
are two cows out there
but yeah i kind of like watching the game this way through sam's eyes
and the crowd's eyes yeah all right
and their reactions sam stand by because we'll just keep
checking in with you as the brewers game getting close
to the end here what an exciting event did
you guys see this earlier take a look
at this this is jack centurio on the field do you see
what's on his shoulder there there's actually video
of this it's a praying mantis it crawled
on his back did did you know i think we've got video we're going to try
and play it do you know
anything about praying mantises?
No. Widely considered a very good, look at this, of good
luck. Are you serious? And good fortune.
And this is early in the game. Look, he doesn't know what
it is. And look, it's on his left shoulder there.
What? Oh, wow. So a praying mantis crawled on
Jackson Churio during this game.
This was before all of the runs were scored. Why would we have
any thoughts that anything besides good things
were going to happen in this game? There are all
kinds of signs.
Guess who hit the first pitch over the and was a home run?
Jackson. Last name
Churio. Man, that's crazy. Praying Mantis.
I had no idea. Wow. Okay. Game four starting earlier
tomorrow. Yay. It was supposed to start at 8 p.m. our time,
but it will now start at 7 p.m. instead.
That's because of weather that's impacting the ALCS between Cleveland
and Tampa. Who do you
having that one i think tampa's the better team
but you just never know it's one one right now
okay well while the brewers haven't clinched
a spot in the series yet the world series the team
is already giving fans the chance
to buy tickets wisconsin residents you get your chance special
pre-sale starts tomorrow morning at 10
and then tickets go on sale to the general public at 2 p.m
because of their regular season record the brewers would host games one
and two and if necessary
games six and seven 850 bucks i think is the get in price just
so you're aware we'll check the
prices tomorrow but yeah it's expensive
and it's not a brewers game without milwaukee's oldest
sports fan 104 year old ruth werning is milwaukee's oldest fan
and today she and a bunch of her
brewers besties they tailgated
at the hardwood place senior community in wauwatosa featuring
lots of baseball-themed treats.
There was some drinks. Rooting on the crew.
I came from a family of two brothers
who were very interested in the game, and so they kept
me posted, and I had to play catch in the backyard
and get used to the glove. And the
trouble was I always held a glove like this and caught
the ball in the bare hand and my brother
would say well you can't even catch it
and I said well you throw it so hard and he said it's
supposed to go in the glove not in your hand she is amazing Werner
also threw out the first pitch
at a game last year
and get this her 105th birthday it's in two weeks you know what else
is happening then what she's the world series what
were you gonna say i thought she's gonna
have a rager i mean she might hopefully
at the world series let's get her the world series if
that happens she's the brewers oldest fan i mean show me a fan
who's older i don't think i can wow

Well, let's get to some other news now.
New at 9, a possible new role for Kenosha's police chief.
The mayor announcing today that he
is appointing Patrick Patton, the police chief,
to step into a new role as Kenosha's city administrator.
Patton was appointed chief of police in 2023.
spent more than 20 years with the department
in all the common council they will consider the
proposal at its next meeting monday night
if the council approves his appointment Patton will take
over the role effective january 1st from john morrissey
a other former police chief down there
interesting Flock cameras have been under a lot
of public scrutiny as of late and tonight the
American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin has filed a lawsuit that,
if successful, would require
cities to get a search warrant before they could
use any license plate reader technology. The ACLU
filed their lawsuit directly with the state Supreme Court.
It did so on behalf of a group
of churches and a Green Bay pastor.
The group is suing the cities of Green Bay, Racine, Milwaukee,
and Kenosha. Those cities all have used the flock system,
which the lawsuit says
do not comply with the Wisconsin state constitution
which provides protection against
unreasonable searches.
New details tonight on Tom Tiffany's emergency water landing in Lake
Wausau. Last month the crash happened
on September 12th just before 9 p.m. during the plane's final
approach to the Wausau downtown airport.
According to NTSB's initial report a power loss caused the
crash which came from the pilot's delay in switching fuel tanks
and not turning on a booster
pump that pushes fuel from the tank to the engine.
Because of that, the engine didn't respond when the
pilot applied the throttle.
Flight instructors will often tell you, make sure you balance it out.
Make sure you've got that boost pump on.
There's even acronyms that you use in training that you
memorize that this is your mental checklist
to go through as you approach for a landing to make
sure you've got everything on.
You know, what happens sometimes that people forget? I think
any pilot has forgotten time to time
and go oh yeah yeah we've got to make sure we balance that
out the tiffany campaign told fox six today quote tom will always
be grateful to the pilot for his
composure during the emergency
and a life-threatening situation he remained calm and did what was
necessary to ensure they both survived
the ntsb's website still lists the investigation is ongoing
let's take a live look at American Family Field
because right after we touched all our noses once
again guess what happened brewer scored another run yeah
the cows are happy the fans are happy
all right the game's getting later
and later is happy i do think she's still awake oh yeah
she is a brewer super fan after all you can't go
to sleep on this action we're not sleeping
anywhere we're back in a couple of minutes here
the state's newest youth prison on milwaukee's
northwest side will open next month
as bill meston explains it's part of a plan to replace
the troubled Lincoln Hills facility in northern Wisconsin,
providing youth with resources and
connection closer to home.
Tucked away at the end of a road is the state's newest youth
correctional facility. Starting next month,
the DOC will start transitioning some of the 70 youth
from Lincoln Hills to Milwaukee.
What I've learned is kids want to do well, they just don't have the
skills to do well. Kashonda Brown's worked
as a DOC juvenile youth counselor for four years in
Dane County. But the new youth prison gave
her an opportunity to come home and work with youth
here. Hey, like, hey, you're emotional today.
What can we do? You're upset. Like, what are we
going to do? Are we going to go out and do some hoops?
Are we going to talk about the pros and
cons? How are we going to figure this out in real time?
The $65 million facility is intended to
provide youth offenders an education, therapy,
and rebuild their and their families' lives.
Our whole focus and goal is to build youth skills while they're here,
build that capacity, connect them with community resources
that they can continue within the community.
Part of the DOC's closer-to-home model
that's being adopted in Wisconsin.
We know what works in reducing recidivism.
Treatment, treating people with dignity and respect,
and having environments that aren't further traumatizing kids.
It's been in the works for nearly a decade to close the Lincoln County
Youth Facilities by 2029 and convert the 500-bed campus to adults.
Milwaukee's facility has 32 beds, classrooms, workshops, recording
studios to teach skills youth can take with them into the community.
They're in a prison, but they are in a place where they're going
to be learning and growing and being able to get out back
to their families and their communities as soon as possible.
The Juvenile Corrections Division takes care
of the state's youngest offenders.
The kids that we do serve, at the end of the day, they're all kids.
When those kids move in, Kashonda Brown will be waiting.
In Milwaukee, Bill Meston, Fox 6 News.
The DOC says it is working
on hiring additional staff for the new facility.
Work is underway on a similar youth prison in Dane County
with a planned third facility in northern Wisconsin.
Talking about the weather, we've got a watch party out there.
Look at them right now.
It's hot out there.
I'm telling you, the celebration, it's like run after run.
We're up now five to, what is it, the bottom of the eighth went out?
Yep, five to two.
Okay.
These guys aren't cold at all because they've just been,
did they get all free rally towels or did they show up with those?
I think they got them for free tonight.
I think they probably because it was a ticketed event.
You had to get the tickets.
Look, I'm on cue.
It's like they're listening to us.
Hey, there you go, tickets.
They're not listening to us.
Those rally towels are going to be worth some money, I'm telling you.
Yeah.
Oh, man.
Are they cold?
I mean, it's not warm out.
It's 57 degrees.
It's just, you know, it's crisp.
Crisp.
But they're dry.
They're dry.
No, and no.
I mean, now, tomorrow night will have lighter rain,
but it's going to be so soggy in the afternoon and evening.
My guess is all the watch parties will have to be inside.
Yeah.
They should move into American Family Field.
Can they do that?
Hello?
Dear Brewers.
Dear Brewers.
We think Tom says you should move it in.
Kim and Ben and Tom.
Yeah.
Let's just say Tom did it.
Oh, just playing the weather, as always, right?
Moving inside.
All right, let's talk about our weather,
show you what's going on, live look over downtown.
All right, here's the deal.
We hit 62 for a high today.
We're at 57 right now.
What does that mean?
I'll get a little sciency on you.
That means the diurnal temperature range, that's a mouthful, right?
The diurnal temperature range was very low today.
translation that means that the difference between the high
and low temperature was not very great
only a couple of degrees difference from wiggle room
with that temperature today because we had
the cloud cover around and this chilly northeast
wind dew point 48 air pressure on the rise this
is important if you suffer from big swings
in air pressure this is going to drop significantly in
the next 24 hours and then it's going
to rise significantly 24 hours after that so big changes
Big swings in air pressure over the next 48 hours,
so keep that in mind as well.
49 in Plymouth, everybody else in the 50s.
Again, I wouldn't expect temperatures to move a whole lot tonight.
They've cleared out a little bit in Eau Claire.
That's why they're down to 41, but we have cloudy skies in place.
You see the rain starting to develop off to the west.
Now, let's talk about this system.
So, there are actually two of them.
There's one in the Intermountain West.
There's another one up here behind the banner.
Those two systems are heading in our direction,
and they are going to merge tomorrow.
In meteorology, we call that coming into phase.
They're going to be phasing together, and that's going
to provide a soaker for us tomorrow afternoon and evening.
So let's get into Sky Vision Plus.
Let's take you through here hour by hour.
And as we go into the morning, mainly just cloudy and dry.
Maybe some drizzle here and there, but it's really the noontime hours.
So midday, when that rain starts.
So rain starts roughly at noon.
Heaviest part of this system is, let's say, 2 p.m. for a start time.
Look at 3 o'clock.
Moderate rain.
5 o'clock for the drive home, moderate rain.
6.30, maybe a couple thunderstorms mixed in, nothing severe.
But we're still raining at a good clip at 7 o'clock.
By 9 o'clock, we may dry out temporarily.
So that's what I mean for watch parties,
that the rain will get a little bit lighter.
But we're going to have so much rain falling between 2 and 7 p.m.
I find it difficult to think that there's going
to be a whole lot going on outside tomorrow night,
just given how wet that it is going to be throughout the day.
Now, light rain tomorrow night,
very windy on Friday, light rain in the morning,
picking up again for a time Friday afternoon and into the evening.
So rain chances will continue all the way through Friday,
but the heaviest rain will be 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
And this is where we could end up with over
an inch of rain in most areas in total.
Most of that falling 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
But rain continues on Friday.
I can't stress this enough. Very windy. Wind gusts of 40 miles
per hour out of the northwest on Friday with rain continuing.
Frost Saturday morning, 55 and sunny Saturday afternoon,
65 and windy on Sunday.
So we'll turn things around,
but it's going to be a soggy Thursday, guys. Back over to you.
All right. Thanks, Tom. Authorities in Georgia
are investigating an accident at a Six Flags park where
a man was killed after being ejected from a roller coaster.
Several parks across the country, including the one in Gurnee,
say they've temporarily closed similar rides.
And as Fox's Kevin Aretsky reports,
this is coming as concerns grow over rider safety.
Investigations are underway at a Six Flags amusement park in Mableton,
Georgia, days after a man was killed on a roller coaster.
42-year-old Hassan Jihadi bin Kareem was ejected
from his seat on the Goliath roller coaster on Monday,
landing on other riders, then falling below.
I just watched this man come up out of his seat
in that curve where it turns to the left.
I saw him come out and off the ride altogether.
A statement from Six Flags says it is cooperating
with local authorities in an investigation,
while the coaster's manufacturer, B&M,
says it is also investigating the incident.
Maybe some third-party inspections will occur in addition
to all that to get to the root cause as to why this happened.
The death is drawing scrutiny on the entire amusement ride industry,
as speculation mounts into what actually happened.
That seems to be related to either operator error or some malfunction
that occurred that would allow the restraint to fail.
While restrictions and regulations on amusement rides vary
from state to state, the industry is widely considered to be safe,
with chances of serious injuries being extremely rare
because of the restraint systems in place.
The actual clamshell system has redundancies that are built
in to prevent these types of incidences from occurring.
Still, some riders
of the Goliath coaster say it needs more restraints.
The only way that I would go back on it is if there
were a shoulder harness or at least a seat belt.

Cornell's president is implementing a series of new measures aimed
at addressing safety after an alleged sexual assault on campus.
He says he is suspending all fraternity parties
and events for the rest of the year
and bringing in criminal investigators from the New York State Police
to look at allegations of sexual assault on campus.
New York's Governor Kathy Hochul has since appointed State
Attorney General Letitia James to lead the investigation.
But during the New York gubernatorial debate on Tuesday,
she faced criticism over her initial response to the case.
They're a partner of the state of New York.
And as a trustee and as governor,
you didn't call for an independent investigation
when you found out that the district attorney was dropping the case.
That's pretty pathetic to blame me for what happened in a fraternity.
The university failed that young woman.
Meanwhile, Cornell's faculty senate deliberating
a no confidence resolution
to condemn the school's response to sexual violence on campus.
A suspected thief in Oklahoma took,
make a break for it, a little too literally.
Ew.
Ouch.
He jumped straight through a window to get away from deputies.
The sheriff's office there says the man is a suspected copper thief.
Despite his escape attempt, investigators caught up with him,
and he's now facing several charges, including resisting arrest.
Live picture.
people are hugging each other already that's
the mood out there look oh they're taking pictures
and everything hey bro i thought they were just having
a big giant hug maybe i think it was for
the photo but yeah but and for the love
but yeah we're happy because we are winning we're cheering
on the crew we're up it's the eighth we've got
an update coming up right after this the pentagon
making no secret it is going all in on AI to shape
the next generation of the U.S. military.
As Fox News correspondent Caroline Elliott explains,
the initiative comes as industry
leaders, they're acknowledging they still don't quite know what's
in store for this rapidly
advancing technology. The Pentagon is now pushing
the U.S. military to adopt a full embrace of AI
by way of drones and robotic weapons on the battlefield.
We will be fielding hundreds of
thousands of one-way attack systems this year
and into the millions in years to come
at a pace that this department's never, ever seen before.
Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth said
the planned Autonomous Warfare Command would transition
the military into an operation that's faster,
smarter, and less dependent on humans.
Whoever's ahead now is going to get much further ahead.
Whoever's behind now is going to fall even further behind.
Hegseth plans to make the transition by October 2027 to give
the U.S. military an advantage over its adversaries.
But the full steam ahead approach comes
as AI companies are again warning of the dangers.
Many people expect the AI systems in the next few years
to be potentially capable of essentially taking over the world.
Anthropic issuing a new research report this week,
sounding the alarm that AI models could be, quote,
months away from self-replicating and getting out of control.
And even some military contractors are pushing for stronger guardrails.
Whether it's a kill switch, whether it's creating more incentive
for more investment on the security side,
because these models are getting better.
They're twice as good now every four months.
And Hegseth is pushing Congress to approve a $1.5 trillion budget
for the Pentagon to make its AI goals a reality.
