Temple University is investigating a reported rape at an off-campus apartment building near the university's North Philadelphia campus.
According to the Temple University crime log, the rape was alleged to have happened at 2:30 a.m. Saturday inside the University Village Apartments on North 10th Street.
The building is about two blocks from campus police and falls within the university's patrol boundary.

Temple University now investigating
an alleged rape at an off-campus apartment.
A student reporting the attack to police yesterday.
Documents show the woman claims it happened Saturday night
in a privately owned residence near campus.
The investigation comes amid a national conversation, of course,
about sexual assault on college campuses across the country.
And some disturbing new data about that.
Action News' John Paul live now in North Philadelphia.
John, what more have you learned tonight?
Brian, not a lot of details are coming out about this alleged assault.
We know that it happened at University Village Apartments.
Now, that is off campus, as you had mentioned,
but it is actually right next to the campus boundary
and only two blocks from campus police.
Details are surfacing tonight about reports of a rape
near the campus of Temple University.
According to the Temple University crime log,
the rape reportedly happened Saturday morning at 2.30
inside the University Village Apartments on North 10th Street.
And according to the Philadelphia Center Against Sexual Violence,
assaults are rising on campuses across the country.
We are actually inside of what we call the red zone right now,
which is that time between August and November
where we have seen the increased rates
of sexual assaults happening on countless campuses.
According to Temple Police,
the incident was referred to the Student Code of Conduct.
We reached out to Temple for clarity on the report.
A spokesperson tells us they are taking this report seriously
and supporting the student with resources,
but cannot comment on any specifics.
In a statement, the spokesperson said, quote,
Because this incident occurred at a private off-campus residence,
it's being addressed through Temple's Student Conduct Code.
The process allows the university to investigate allegations
and hold students accountable under university policy.
While the building is considered off-campus,
it is within the school's patrol boundary.
The Student Conduct Code is independent
of any law enforcement investigation.
The statement went on to say,
after a review of the totality of the information,
the university did not determine there
was an imminent risk to the university community.
The allegations come just over a week after
the school convened a sexual assault advisory group.
That was in response to national headlines over
the sexual assault allegations at Cornell University.
The group will look into processes for supporting victims
and responding to incidents.
Brian, there's no word on how long this investigation might take.
At this point, no charges have been filed.
We're live tonight in North Philadelphia.
John Paul, Channel 6 Action News.
Brian.
John, thank you.
