AI GeneratedCentral Florida is experiencing a stretch of fall-like weather characterized by cooler temperatures, low humidity, and significant wind. While the inland conditions are pleasant and comfortable, dangerous surf and beach erosion are expected along the East Coast due to a lingering offshore system.
And if you weren't able to spend some time outside today,
maybe because you were inside watching football, guess what?
You have a couple of other days in order to make sure you can get
outside because it's going to be feeling like fall all this week.
So here are your headlines.
We're going to be seeing very windy conditions
on tap pretty much through the next couple of days.
All week, we're looking at wind gusts for about 20 miles per hour here
across central Florida, as well as directly along the East Coast.
And those fall temperatures, they're here to stay for a little bit.
It's going to be feeling like fall with temperatures
lingering throughout the upper 70s and low 80s region-wide.
Very nice, comfortable air out there
with low humidity over the next five days.
But because it is going to be so windy
and we have a system kind of lingering just off the east coast,
our beach conditions are going to be extremely dangerous.
So don't let this beautiful weather fool you.
Things are still going to be pretty rough directly along
the coast as we head through the next couple of days.
and that also includes a good amount of beach erosion on top with it.
So if you didn't notice this morning,
it was a little bit cool out there.
Some areas even fell into the mid-50s last night.
Gainesville, Ocala, the villages, as well as Leesburg.
Areas are in the 50s, especially across southwestern Florida,
and we are just going to continue to see those cool temperatures,
especially through the mornings
as we head through the next couple of days.
And a little bit of a fun fact for you,
Leesburg hit below 60 degrees for the first time
since april so those cooler temperatures
are finally back here across central florida and
they're here to stay for a little bit here's
our forecast lows through the overnight tonight
a little bit more mild along the east coast just
because we have that breeze coming in directly
off the warmer water as opposed to the land
so that's why we're going to be seeing those
temperatures a touch warmer directly along
the east coast higher up at gainesville ocala you're
going to be closer to right around 60 degrees
as we head through the overnight tonight so heading
out the door tomorrow will be on the cooler side
with partly to mostly cloudy skies to round out
there the round out the weekend and start off the work week
but here's what we're looking at for
your morning lows it's going to be cool
so you're going to need to bring that extra layer and it is
also going to be a little bit breezy out there too
so make sure you pack
that windbreaker just to make sure you're set
and ready to go for the next couple of mornings as
you're waking up to temperatures pretty much all through
this week in the low 60s so it will be a
little bit crisp out there but those very beautiful
fall like temperatures are going to be sticking
with us over the next couple of days now mind you average high
for this time of year 84 degrees so
we're actually a couple degrees below average
for this time of year looking ahead towards this week
so here's the setup we had this frontal boundary
work through yesterday this is the low pressure
system that's going to be really jacking up the winds
and keeping it blustery over the next couple
of days and this high pressure system taking
that cooler air up from the northeast and bringing it
right down here to Central Florida.
Beautiful evening out there right now over Port Canaveral.
However, there are a couple
of very scattered showers near Cocoa Beach, Titusville,
as well as areas near Oviedo right now.
These will start to taper off through
the rest of the overnight tonight,
but until then, it is going to be soggy,
especially in southern Brevard County,
central Brevard County, and just a couple
of these splash and dash showers
working their way over central Florida.
We will still keep a couple of these scattered showers,
but Orlando, you're pretty much going to stay dry.
It's directly along the coast where we're still going to just be seeing
these very scattered storms pretty much on tap all through your Monday.
So keep that rain jacket and windbreaker handy just
in case you do get caught in a quick sprinkle.
Other than that, though, we really dry out as high pressure takes back
hold of the region and just creates a very pleasant work week ahead.
