Welcome back. A chilly morning across central Texas
and all of us in the 40s pretty much.
A few locations struggled to get below 50 and that includes Giddings.
But out here in the west, we have some blue shades.
Where we got into the 30s, a few spots in Llano,
Gillespie County and Mason County.
In fact, I know Doss got down to 37 degrees.
Texas Tech Mesonet site there recorded that.
Then we had also a reading of 39 in Junction at the airport there.
36. In Kerrville, Fredericksburg was 43.
It didn't plot it, but that was the low in Fredericksburg
this morning. Also had some blue areas out here
in Milam County near Rockdale. Some locations may
have dropped into the upper 30s as you work your way to the north
and east of Austin as well.
Right now, we're not as cool as we were last night,
but it is chilly still. You still need a jacket.
51 in Georgetown, 51 Mason, 55 Fredericksburg,
63 to our east at Bastrop and Lockhart, 64 now
in austin and that is our current temperature here
with the southeast breeze at only three
miles per hour we didn't have much wind today
not expecting much wind overnight the big difference
tonight could be that we have a southeast flow
as opposed to a northerly flow which we had last
night the air is also not quite as dry and we
also have some high clouds scooting through tonight so
that may keep us a little warmer
for most areas about five degrees from where we were this morning
is what I'm expecting. Low to mid 50s
when you wake up in the morning here in Austin and then
the high temperature will range from 75 to 80.
A mix of clouds and sun in the forecast throughout
the day. Don't think we'll see any rainfall across our area.
There are some showers down in south
Texas though and we have had some rain down around Laredo
and areas south of San Antonio. But for us
we're just getting that high cloud deck favoring areas
from San Marcos over to Blanco and again
now moving into Austin as well, but no precipitation with it.
This is where a few sprinkles are showing up
and was a little bit heavier earlier tonight around Laredo and Cotulla.
As we look at our rain chances the next few days, not promising.
I think we're going to be pretty dry here in central Texas,
not showing any rainfall over the next four days.
We have some showers in south Texas on Thursday.
On Tuesday, good chance of a few showers and storms up around Amarillo
and maybe Lubbock. And that's about it for us. Just those clouds
around this morning. It does show a sprinkle
or two as that disturbance to
our south clips us. So maybe San Marcos
and Bastrop possibly gettings in the
morning. But I'm not expecting anything out of this should be dry. 52
chilly tonight, partly cloudy 79 tomorrow,
mostly sunny, a little warmer.
There's your seven day, which definitely is warmer as we get into the
upper eighties to near 90 degrees.
Higher humidity also by Wednesday and
Thursday. Rainy chances are very slim over the next seven days.
