She smiled. Just days after federal agents carried boxes out
of her home, Ilhan Omar
strolled out of a Minneapolis polling place grinning like a woman
who just won a timeshare,
not nervous, not hiding, smiling.
Reporters asked about the search warrants. Her answer?
They haven't said anything, which is a rather bold thing
to say when they have your phone.
And then she reminded everyone that voting is very important,
hopped in a car and vanished. Civic duty delivered at a sprint.
After federal agents raided her D.C. home.
Our 5 Eyewitness News camera was there today when she voted,
but she didn't take any questions.
And as for that search warrant, it's still sealed right now.
Renee Cooper has the latest
with less than two weeks before the election.
Representative Omar was scheduled to appear here earlier today
at a news conference with the Minnesota Attorney General.
But as that began, we got word she wouldn't be speaking after all.
So my photographer and I went off to catch up with her after she voted.
Congresswoman Omar, can you tell us what you've been briefed on?
Nothing. They haven't said anything.
That was about it before U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar was off,
less than a minute after exiting the polling place.
As you heard there, she tells us
the U.S. Justice Department has not provided her
any information on its investigation into possible fraud
in her family's immigration paperwork.
Representative Omar is a naturalized U.S. citizen,
immigrating here as a child.
On Wednesday, in her only interview since the search,
saying she's confident she did not do anything wrong.
Today, with one last quick message before she's driven away.
Remind people to vote.
Omar is a frequent critic and target of President Donald Trump,
who said this about her just today.
What she did is, her whole life is a scam, as far as I'm concerned.
Her whole life is a total scam.
Here's the twist, guys.
the question isn't just whether she voted.
It's which name she voted under. I mean,
reports are saying Ilhan Omar may not even be her legal name.
In fact, the New York Post dug
up an old family document with a different name printed
in black ink. And when she was asked
whether her ex-husband, Ahmed Noor Saeed Elmi,
is actually her brother, she said,
not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge.
Most of us can answer that one without a lawyer in
the room. Now, it's absolutely exploding.
In fact, President Donald J. Trump, he's telling
speaker Mike Johnson that her seat is already gone
and signing off with thank you for your
attention to this matter. Kind of like he's canceling
a gym membership. Now, Jeannie Pirro's
office is reportedly following the money
and Barack Obama and Hakeem Jeffries, they're racing
to the cameras to cry weaponized justice.
Now, I don't know about you, but this is rather
fascinating. A federal judge signed the warrant.
Apparently, the judge is in on this too. Well,
today, guys, we're going to walk you through all of it,
the raid, the ballot, the document,
and of course the November 3rd deadline
that has Minnesota Democrats sweating through their
parkas because nothing's proven in court yet,
but CNN still calls it a conspiracy theory,
which is a rather bold statement for a network
to make that hasn't opened a single box.
Now, quick thing before diving, guys, if you
or someone you love needs Medicare guidance,
chapter offers completely free help, zero pressure.
Give them a call right now. I've
also left a phone number and their link down below, 909-563-8279.
The average senior saving
about 1100 bucks a year.
And the hold times are a lot lower on the weekends. I'm just saying,
if you're new here, guys, go ahead
and smash the subscribe button. It's totally free. One tap. And
I promise we only have one name.
And if we deliver by the end of the video, hit the like button.
Totally appreciate you. So let's go ahead and rewind the tape.
Let's go ahead and start over
from the beginning. Right. Slow it down frame by frame.
Have you talked to the feds at all?
I have not. Okay. And you can tell me what your name is, please.
A polling place
in Minneapolis,
gray October sky,
looks like it's going
to rain, but it
never did. A row of cameras on the sidewalk,
every lens pointed at one door. Then the door
opens. Out walks Ilhan Omar, big old cheesy grin,
easy stride, waving like she's riding a float in
the Rose Parade. Now, you gotta remember the week that she's having,
okay? Bit of a challenging week
for her. Federal agents searched her home, raided the home.
Investigators reportedly have her phone,
her notebooks, her computers, her passport.
Her relatives got subpoenaed. Her name, both of them
allegedly, is in every headline in America.
Most people in that situation are essentially hiding
under a blanket, eating cereal straight out of the box.
Not her though. No Captain Crunch,
no Honey Nut Cheerios. She's smiling like
the search warrant came with a gift basket.
You really got to admire the confidence.
It takes real talent to look that relaxed.
Meanwhile, federal investigators are flipping through
your notebooks. Now, hold on to that
smile. We're going to come right back to that because
by the end of this video, you're going
to wonder exactly what's behind it.
So then the reporters pounce, microphones up, questions
flying. What do you know about the search warrants?
Her answer? They haven't said anything.
They haven't said anything. Ma'am, they reportedly took your laptop.
This is not silence. This is a
very loud hint. Oh, and then one reporter asked
the question that everybody's thinking. Is this
your last chance to vote here? And she fires back.
No, I continue to vote. Not I have nothing to hide.
Not I'll cooperate fully. Just I continue to vote.
Like a woman refusing to leave a buffet.
And then halfway to the car,
she delivers a public service announcement. Remind people to vote.
election
is very
important.
Thank
you, Ms.
Congresswoman.
Very
helpful.
And then, of course, there's the car.
After the raid, she reportedly told an interviewer that
she drives a Camry. The ride she climbed into,
let's just say it didn't look like any Camry
we've ever seen. Oh, and who's driving?
Nobody's saying. Door shuts, engine hums,
questions hang in the air. Gone.
Now, let's go ahead and back up to October 12th before sunrise.
Washington, D.C., the neighbors are still in their pajamas.
Bang, bang, bang. They're peeking
through the blinds of their home, looking across the street.
What the hell's going on at the Omar
house? Agents and Homeland Security investigations jackets
are standing in the doorway of a sitting
member of Congress. Not a parking ticket,
not a strongly worded letter, a federal search warrant.
Hours later, the boxes start coming out.
One, then another, then another. Reportedly her phone,
her notebooks, her computers, and her relatives.
They got subpoenaed. That's right, guys. The
warrant reportedly lists what's being investigated.
False statements, fraud and immigration paperwork,
conspiracy. This is not a to-do list.
This is a menu. Oh, and here's the part CNN keeps on
skipping. A federal judge signed the warrant.
A judge looked at the evidence and said,
yep, go. That doesn't prove she's guilty,
but it does mean that this isn't somebody's
angry tweet eater. It came 22 days before election day.
Omar's response? She called
it weaponizing law enforcement.
Interesting, because if your best defense is the timing is
suspicious, you're not arguing the evidence.
You're arguing about the calendar. Calendars
don't get subpoenaed. People do.
Now, if you know somebody who always says, well,
these people always get investigated,
but they never get arrested, go ahead and send them this
video. Not to make them mad, just go ahead
and send them this video so that they know exactly
what's happening right now. Here's a question nobody
in the crowd of reporters really got
answered though. Which name was on that ballot?
Because according to the Gateway Pundit, Ilhan
Omar may be an alias.
Her real name, they say, is Ilhan Nur Said Elmi. Yeah. Now, that's an
allegation, guys. It's not proven,
but think about what it means if it's true. There's a federal law
this. Title 52, section 10307.
Willfully giving a false name to get registered to vote is a crime.
Did she show ID with the wrong name? Now, here's a twist, guys.
Minnesota doesn't even require photo
ID for registered voters.
You just walk in, say your name, they take your word for it, and you
sign the book. Let that land for a second, guys.
In Minnesota, you need ID to buy alcohol, cold
medicine, sign up for cable TV. Not to vote, though.
So the real question is the name on her
registration. Now, let's go ahead and flip it around.
Hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans,
they voted for her. Which name did they think
that they were voting for? Oh, and with a federal
investigation slashed across every front page in America,
should anyone have handed her a provisional
ballot instead? I'm just asking for a friend.
Somebody has to. Oh, and just when you thought
that the name question couldn't get any messier,
the New York Post walks in carrying a filing
cabinet. Yeah, some pretty strong guy.
Anyway, the Post got its hands on a 1997 marriage
certificate from the United Kingdom.
It belongs to a woman named Lila, reportedly Omar's sister.
Go ahead and run your finger down the page to the father's name line.
Noor Saeed Elmi. Occupation,
military officer, Somalia.
Omar's late father, Noor Omar Muhammad, reportedly also went by
Noor Saeed Elmi. He was a commander in the old Somali dictatorship.
Multiple sources told the
post that they believe it's the same man.
Now, picture this, guys. An old, yellowed piece of
paper because it's so old, right?
One name circled in red marker. Questions have been raised about
her actual birth year. Now, so far,
we've got a name that might be her name and a birthday that
might not be her real birthday.
At this point, guys, the only thing we're sure is that there's
a smile. Now, to be fair, Somali records were lost in a civil war
and the family has been split
between London and America, but here's the kicker.
If a newspaper found this, imagine what the feds
have. Which kind of brings us to the four words
that might follow her forever. Here's the
allegation. Years ago, Ilhan Omar married
a man named Ahmed Noor Saeed Elmi. Critics say Elmi is
actually her brother. Yeah, her brother.
As in brothers and sisters. And that the marriage was
a way around immigration law. She denies it.
Reported DNA evidence. Not publicly confirmed.
Nothing proven yet. But when she
was asked directly whether they were related, she said,
Not to my knowledge.
Hmm.
This man that was your husband,
when did they start saying that he was your brother?
Why?
It started with the Somali blog that I don't know if it still exists,
but somebody put in there that, you know,
that he had to have been my brother or something to that effect.
He was not, you were not related to him at all.
Not that.
There's not some weird kernel of truth
that through some game of telephone.
Not to my knowledge.
Not to my knowledge.
Not no, not absolutely no.
and that's gross. Not to my knowledge, folks,
there are only a few questions in life where
not to my knowledge is the wrong answer.
Is your husband your brother? That probably sits right at
the top of that list. This is not an answer.
This is more like a cliffhanger. Now, most of us would
swear up and down, even in our sleep,
under anesthesia, with a sock in our mouth. Hell no,
that ain't my brother. And notice the name.
The father on that certificate, Noor Saeed Elmi. The
ex-husband, Ahmed Nour Saeed Elmi.
Same name, different explanations. Then President Donald
Trump, he picks up his phone.
His post told Speaker Mike Johnson that the Democrats have
conceded her seat and that she can't legally serve
in Congress from this point forward.
Oh, and then came the signature sign off.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. This is
how you end a memo about a broken copy machine, guys.
It's not about removing a member of Congress.
I was saddened to hear that Ilhan Omar is not her name.
It's not. It's not Ilhan Omar.
The one she used to get elected and sworn into Congress,
that's the one that she used for everything, Ilhan Omar.
But rather, it's
an entirely different name named Ilhan Nur Sayed Elmi.
It's close. It's close, Byron.
And last night he said in part, quote, because she used a fake name
to be sworn in, I assume she must immediately resign from Congress.
Please inform the Speaker of the House
of Representatives, James Michael Johnson,
that the Democrat Party has just conceded her seat, end quote.
Congressman Omar firing back in her own post saying, quote,
the pedophile protection party's president is laundering right wing
conspiracy theories to the most corrupt DOJ in American history.
Whenever the news turns bad, this creep reaches for one name, mine.
So let's make it crystal clear.
My name has always been Ilhan Omar.
Maybe you should focus on what your VP's real name is.
So what has Speaker Johnson done so far?
Picture the Capitol, right?
Big marble hallways, echoing footsteps,
and the sound of absolutely nothing happening.
Crickets with a security detail.
Oh, and it raises the question a lot of Americans are asking.
How did nobody check this in the first place?
A janitor at a federal building needs
a background check. Plenty of government
workers need a security clearance just
to do their jobs. But a member of Congress
voting on national security needs neither.
The person that's mopping the floor gets more vetting
than the person voting on the defense budget.
Does it make any sense to anybody? Because I
am completely baffled at this point.
So how did Ilhan Omar respond to all of this?
Did she clear things up? Release her documents?
Answer the name question? Of course not.
She called Trump's party the pedophile protection party,
the PPP, yeah, and she even called the
Justice Department the most corrupt DOJ in American history.
Now, this is a bold strategy.
When federal investigators have your phone,
insulting the people that are holding it,
that's a choice. I don't think it's a wise choice.
Now, remember the slogan that her party
has been chanting for years, nobody's above the law?
They put it on signs, they put it on t-shirts,
they put it on coffee mugs.
They said it about Trump roughly, I don't know, 9,000 times. I
started to lose count. And so now the law actually shows up her door
and all of a sudden the law is
corrupt. I mean, you have to admire the consistency.
It is consistently inconsistent. One podium,
two speeches, same person.
Nobody's above the law until it's your turn, huh? And right on cue,
the cavalry arrives.
Oh yeah, Barack Obama, Hakeem Jeffries racing to the microphones like
somebody just pulled a fire alarm.
Their message, this is weaponized justice, political persecution,
a trump witch hunt one small problem
though according to lawyers who've been on fox all
week long this investigation reportedly actually
started under joe biden's justice department joe
Biden, goodness me, there's a lot of problems there
so we've got the White House border czar Tom
Homan, he has now said that federal investigators have
a strong case in that ongoing criminal
investigation into her for possible immigration
fraud after federal agents raided her home last
week in an interview with Fox News, Homan
and said that he was informed by investigators that they
have been following strong pieces of evidence
in the wake of the multiple court authorized
search warrants on Omar's Washington, D.C. home.
Greg, look, they're doing their job. They're
clearly ticking all the boxes here when it comes to this investigation.
Yeah. And whenever I hear
someone complain that, oh,
there's they're weaponizing the justice system, I find that
hysterical given what happened to the president
and anybody affiliated with the president for the
four years while Biden was off was in office.
So, look, this is, you know, even if it is payback,
they deserve it. But this this particular
investigation actually started during the
Biden year. So I think, you know,
the case must be really good for the Biden Justice Department
to go after a Democrat. She must be really dirty.
And I'm quite sure she is. So, look,
She hates America.
Of course, she hates the right, but she is one of the most radical
of the radicals in Congress.
And she really does hate America. And if she cheated on her
immigration, then she should be deported.
And I hope it happens quickly. And by the way,
one more point on the arguments from the left
that this is purely political with the midterms
coming up, there is no way she's going to lose her seat.
She is in a very safe, lunatic, communist,
socialist seat in Minnesota.
So this whole Trump witch hunt started by Joe Biden. This is like
blaming your neighbor for the dent in your car
while your kid's holding the car keys. Oh, and
remember, a federal judge signed the warrant.
This was a democratically appointed judge, by the way.
So meanwhile, over at CNN and MSNBC,
they're still calling all of this a conspiracy theory.
A judge called it probable cause. CNN called it conspiracy theory.
One of them read the evidence.
Take a wild guess which one of them it actually was.
So how does this actually end?
Well, John Yoo, former clerk to Justice Clarence Thomas,
laid it out. The Constitution says you have
to be a citizen to serve in Congress, period.
If the allegations are proven, she was never legitimately elected.
Then he opened three doors.
Door number one, the House kicks her out on its own
with a two-thirds vote.
Door number two, the Justice Department sues to strip her citizenship.
This is called denaturalization.
And a lot of people are asking, wait a second,
why denaturalize somebody who's never legal?
Simple. Citizenship gained by fraud doesn't
vanish on its own. A court has to cancel it.
It's kind of like a fake gift card. It looks real in
your wallet until somebody actually checks the balance.
Door number three, criminal charges,
and Jeanine Pirro's office is reportedly looking at the money.
Then, of course, there's the question
in Washington that nobody in Washington really wants to touch.
If she was never eligible, does
she owe back every paycheck that she's ever received
while working for Congress or working
in Congress? No court has answered that one yet,
but that's going to be real interesting. Congress,
they have no pardon power.
A Democrat House could actually keep her seated, but it can't
stop the prosecution. And even if everything is proven,
her past votes likely stay on the books.
So, tell me in the comments, guys,
if the allegations are proven, prison, deportation,
or both. Let me know what you think is most appropriate.
So, here we are, guys. We're just
days from November 3rd. Betting markets still give Ilhan Omar
a 93% chance of winning, down from about
99%. This is the political version of a check engine light.
And Democrats are counting on one
thing. Win the house. Circle the wagons.
Picture this, right? You, an ordinary citizen, you lie
on one federal forum. How fast do they come knocking
at your door? Your house gets searched
by federal agents. Do you stroll into a polling place days later,
grinning from ear to ear for
the cameras? When you're in trouble,
does a former president go on TV to defend you? I don't think
so. Two different sets of rules, guys.
And the people living by the second, they know it.
So the question everybody's asking right now,
why is she still in Congress? Why hasn't anyone
been charged? Is anything going to happen?
Now, here's the honest answer. No indictment has come
yet. Investigations take time.
And that's exactly what has people so furious right now. Oh, and then
of course, there's that smile walking out
of a Minneapolis polling place, waving like there's
nothing wrong. Is she smiling
because she knows something we don't? Or is it because she doesn't
know what's coming? November 3rd, guys, we're about to find out.
Now, look, a federal judge
signed a warrant. Investigators reportedly walked out with her phone.
A newspaper found a name that
she's never explained. And the woman at the center of it all,
she voted, smiled and just drove off
in a fake Toyota Camry. CNN called it a conspiracy theory.
The machine is protecting the machine.
And you saw the whole picture right here, guys,
on the Ron Yates show. Think of one person in
your life, a family member or a friend
who's tired of watching powerful people play by different
rules. Send them this video, not to make them angry.
They're already angry. Send it so that
they know that they're not crazy, that they're not alone.
And the questions are finally being
asked out loud. Now, if today delivered what we promised,
and I think it did, do one thing on the
way out, hit the like button. It's totally free.
And unlike some people, you're not going to need
a second name to do it.
