Officials from several countries are meeting in Tehran today,
trying to prevent the U.S. and Iran from going back to an all-out war.
This comes as President Trump weighs his options,
including another military campaign or possible deal.
Fox's Rebecca Castor has more from Washington.
I may have to finish it off, or maybe they'll make a deal,
but I'm not sure. Either way, we win.
Voting in Florida this weekend, President Trump made clear
he's still weighing his options on what's next for Iran,
while Americans continue to feel the impacts here at home.
The gas is enormous. You know, people are struggling.
The unresolved conflict is one reason most polls predict Democrats
will make significant gains in next week's midterm elections.
But the president is keeping up his campaign blitz
to convince voters to give him and his party more time.
Our country is getting stronger and stronger all the time.
And those pump prices are going to come down.
In Iran, people are panic buying food,
gas and medicine in anticipation of more U.S. military strikes.
While delegations from Saudi Arabia,
Pakistan and Turkey are in Tehran today,
hoping to convince Iranian officials to return to diplomatic talks.
But there are signs the Iranians are still attempting
to rebuild their nuclear facilities, which is why some
U.S. military analysts believe a return to combat is inevitable.
I think the preferred course of action, keep the economic squeeze on,
don't let up at all on it and go back to combat operations
to take the nuclear enterprise off the books.
A recent U.S. intelligence memo also warned that Iran has
substantially increased efforts to target Americans abroad
with some lethal plots reaching advanced stages, something
the president is surely keeping in mind as he determines his next move.
