Good evening, I'm Susan Hirasuna.
We're just hours away now from the LA Department of
Transportation launching its Speed Cameras pilot program.
It's meant to save lives and
create safer streets. So what does it mean for Angelenos?
Fox 11's Matthew Seedorf is
live in Mid-City with how it will work.
Matthew, what do we need to know?
Well, Susan, these cameras go live tomorrow initially
with warnings for the first 60 days,
but LA will show you what we're seeing tonight.
This camera has been very busy. Of
course we're not seeing any traffic right now
but it's pretty much non-stop flashing whenever these
cars are going by and it's something you'll start seeing soon all over
LA. LA's new speed cameras
flashing into action. 20 cameras
in the initial rollout now lighting up expanding by the end of
the year across the city to 125. See? Yeah.
I know like when I pass by here every day to go to gym
It's flashing every few minutes.
At La Cienega and Pickford,
the new camera is flashing almost non-stop Sunday night.
After the initial 60-day warning period,
drivers going at least 11 miles per hour over
the speed limit could face fines between $50 and $500.
It is a great idea, honestly.
Yeah.
I mean, it's safer.
While some welcome the speeding crackdown...
And it seems like they put kind of cameras everywhere
to kind of like try and test, you know, what's happening.
Others worry about the surveillance.
I think it's very disturbing
to have another high-tech surveillance device on the street.
The price tag up to $38.5 million for a five-year contract,
while some question the city's priorities.
With homeless encampments, open drug use,
and illegal dumping lacking the same enforcement.
They say it's just for speeders.
Yes, they do. But of course, that was the thing with the flock.
Suddenly the data is there to be accessed by all sorts of people.
His name is Eric, and he was loved by friends, family.
But here, the dangers of speeding are painfully personal.
That's what caused this, you know.
It could have all been, you know, prevented.
Two friends paying their respects,
hoping these cameras prevent another tragedy.
I feel like it's a good thing because,
like, people start seeing the flashing.
they've seen the news they're gonna
be like okay let's start slowing down in these areas
a somber moment for this group
of friends here tonight paying respects for their friend that
was killed by speeding about a month ago
and they've been out here almost every night paying
their respects honoring him
but these 125 surveillance cameras are going to be set up
all across the city of LA by the end of the year
and what we're seeing here tonight
they could be very busy reporting live Matthew Sedorf Fox 11 News
are these cameras more
modern than what we've used
to you know seen before where there would be a flash and then
you would get an image in the mail of of the driver
in the car itself i mean how does this work
it seems pretty similar now Elliot will show you these cameras
and maybe we'll see one go off
hopefully at some point because they have been very busy all night long
but essentially they're
going to be recording
and taking pictures of the back license plate as they're going by so
as they're speeding this direction you'll see
the flash right behind me pointing that way
And it takes the image of the back license plate,
also taking images of their speed.
Well, in the past, people have questioned whether
or not that is me in the driver's seat.
And some people have been able to get out of those tickets.
So I wonder if this has been refined. That's all I was asking.
All right, Matthew Seedorf, thank you so much for your help.
All right, we've got breaking news.
Southbound 110 near Academy Road
in Solano Canyon has reopened after a two-vehicle crash forced
a closure earlier tonight just north of downtown L.A.
This video from the Citizen app shows California Highway Patrol
officers diverting all traffic off the freeway at Academy Road
while work crews clear the incident.
Coastal flood advisories are in effect across the California
beaches today as near record high tides hit the coastline.
In Long Beach, crews are using dredging equipment to build sand berms
and protect homes along Alamitos Bay and the peninsula.
local officials advise residents to prepare sandbags
as elevated tides and wave action
continue through midweek all right for an update
on what we can expect in the next few days let's
send it over to Star Harvey well Susan i can tell you
that we do have multiple coastal alerts that
do stretch across the southern california coastline we
are under beautiful conditions
now we have been throughout this weekend
but with that we did have not just a coastal flood advisory
but also a coastal flood warning that did go into effect today.
And just as you heard Susan say, it will stretch through this week.
In fact, not due to lift until we arrive at Thursday.
I do have more details on these alerts
and what that does mean for portions of the immediate coastline
as we do stretch through this week.
Let's go ahead and take a look at some conditions down in Laguna Beach.
Temperatures at 67 degrees right now.
We do have fairly calm wind pushing out
of the north-northwest at about 6 miles per hour.
Temperatures in the city, 68 degrees.
It's feeling like 66, and we
also have a nice little gust pushing in single digits as well.
Now, our mountains, it's getting chilly up there.
Temperatures at 46 degrees in Big Bear.
Winds pushing out of the southwest and gusts
also moving at about 4 miles per hour.
Temperatures in the Antelope Valley in the lower 60s.
We do have some 70s on the map, not just in our low deserts, but also
in two areas like Santa Ana and, yes, down into Long Beach as well.
Granada Hills at 63, and we have Santa Clarita at 61.
Here's a look into our sustained winds moving up
to 5 to 10 miles per hour locally.
And then as we shift gears into tonight,
we will be under those mostly clear skies
leading us to tomorrow morning, where we'll get plenty of sunshine.
Temps will be dropping down to the 50s as well as the 60s.
Well, what's ahead?
What I can tell you is that as we stretch into this week,
we are looking at the continuation of warm and dry conditions.
as we head through this week we talked about
those coastal alerts we are going to be focusing on those
high tides those morning high tides but we're
also possibly looking at a storm system moving
across the area which may impact some
of our halloween trick-or-treaters i'll have all of
those details and more coming up for now susan back
to you all right star thanks very much other
news tonight two people were killed
when a driver slammed into a group of bicyclists out on a
Halloween ride in San Bernardino County.
Police say the man behind the wheel was drunk and is now
behind bars. Fox 7's Rachel Aragon has the story.
Montclair residents waking up to a pretty gruesome
scene right here along Kingsley Street
and some neighbors even saying they felt they had to jump
into action to prevent future harm in their community.
We've seen a whole bunch of bicyclists
coming over here and then we heard screaming and we ran to the scene.
Sarah Lee and Cesar say they
were unloading groceries around 10 30 last night
when tragedy struck just a few yards away from
their property there was a woman on the floor she
was uh breathing heavily uh she was hyperventilating
um she was on the ground she had a head uh injury police say
a group of about 30 bicyclists who were
participating in a self-coordinated halloween ride
were traveling eastbound on Kingsley Street
when a westbound vehicle struck several riders
authorities say one bicyclist was pronounced
dead at the scene. Officials say another rider,
who police identified as a woman, died at the
hospital. I see all the bicyclists yelling, get the guy, get the guy.
So then I got in my car and
I chased him all the way down towards, almost towards Pomona.
And then I waved down a police
officer and I asked him to follow me.
Caesar Rios says this surveillance video shows a suspect
speeding off and fleeing the scene.
They yelled at him to stop and once he was in front of my house,
he just sped up even faster.
You can hear the engine speeding up even harder. Officers say the
38-year-old suspected driver
was arrested early Sunday morning after he was located at his
residence near the collision scene.
Fox 11 asking neighbors why they thought it was important to
follow the suspect and flag officers.
It's my street. I live here and I have my son that
is going to grow up here and I've just moved here recently
and before I moved here I've seen that
Accidents happen.
And the suspect, a Montclair resident,
was booked on the suspicion of several offenses,
including driving under the influence and causing injury or death.
Reporting in Montclair, I'm Rachel Aragon, Fox 11 News.
As construction continues in the Palisades and Altadena area,
one unique home is nearly complete.
The family says they'll be in by Thanksgiving.
The Pandoro family's house burned to the ground in the Eden fire,
but the backyard ADU was fine because it's framed in steel.
So the family decided to make
their main living space also steel-framed.
It took fewer than a, less than a week, rather,
to frame the whole 2,000-square-foot home.
Now it's completely fireproof.
And because it is steel-framed technology,
made it incredibly fire-resistant,
the Panduro family is the property owners.
They asked us to come back and to rebuild their front home.
Today, the company behind the steel-framed homes did an open house
for other fire survivors still struggling to rebuild.
Faked a block on Jeremy Chin,
and that's what got him open because Trayden Stoops...
The Rams are back on track,
taking down the Raiders earlier today in Las Vegas.
Our Gerard Moncure joins us now with more
on the record-setting day for the Rams quarterback.
Hello, Susan. Rams sitting a disappointing 2-4 entering the week.
But taking care of business, as you said,
against the Raiders this afternoon.
To no surprise, quarterback Matthew Stafford back
to looking like the reigning NFL MVP.
Sean McVay's offense quickly put the pedal to the metal for a change,
scoring 28 first-half points in Las Vegas,
nearly doubling their point total from last weekend's loss
to the Arizona Cardinals at SoFi.
Stafford throwing three touchdowns today,
becoming the Rams' all-time passing touchdowns leader with 155.
He's now the first quarterback in NFL history
to hold that record for two different franchises
as he holds it as well with the Detroit Lions.
Just super appreciative of all the guys that have helped me do that.
Catching touchdowns and throwing touchdowns isn't a one-man job.
It takes a lot of people to block and get open,
and coaches to draw plays, so just a cool thing.
Didn't really know that was going to happen today, but I'm fired up.
I thought most importantly celebrating each other's success,
having the right energy when you're on the road,
and it's just you versus, you know, the opponent and their fans.
You know, you've got to make a choice
to celebrate the playoff with one another
and I thought our guys did that.
And you could even just feel the vibe was right in the pregame warm-ups
and I thought they carried that on.
And even though there was some stuff
in the second half where, you know,
we stalled out or had some turnovers offensively,
I thought the guys stayed steady.
And, you know, I think there was a lot
of things that you can draw from in this game.
And it wasn't all perfect, but the mindset and the mentality
was exactly what we're looking for.
All right, so the Rams back on track in the win column,
sitting 3-4 on the season, a game back of .500 on deck in Week 8,
a matchup against the winless Chargers at SoFi, Susan.
This game was really important.
Right.
Okay, because since the NFL expanded
to 14 teams in the playoffs in 2020,
if you start the year 2-5,
which is what they would have been had they lost today,
only four teams have made the playoffs starting 2-5.
This was a big win.
They needed this one.
They had to have it.
Of course we'll have more on the Rams
and their win over the Raiders along with more postgame
coming up all right later in sports
but you believe they've got the momentum now yeah and
they're going to get Myles Garrett back
which is a huge factor uh he should be playing against the
Chargers next week so expect the Rams
to start taking off here all right thanks Gerard got it
we'll be right back off they go hundreds
participated in the 29th annual LA cancer
5K challenge in Westwood to help find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
For nearly 30 years this
organization has raised more than 12 million dollars
to advance research for those facing
pancreatic cancer. Organizers say
in the past year major developments with drugs and vaccines
are providing hope.
Well we are just a week and a half away from the election.
We're not just
deciding on a new governor for California
or potentially a new mayor for Los Angeles
we're also deciding on some controversial propositions
one of them, Prop 39, is sparking
a big debate. Fox's Christian Khaftan explains why
California's top Democrats joined at Laborers
Local 261 in San Francisco's Mission District urging Californians
to get out the vote and
specifically to vote no on Proposition 39. Opponents say it's
a Donald Trump backed measure aimed at
making it harder to vote.
They want to charge us hundreds of millions of dollars to make it
happen. We can't let it happen. We won't let it happen.
Am I right? The measure would require
voters to put the last four digits
of their social security number or a voter ID number
on the envelope of their mail-in ballots
and would require them to provide a government ID
to vote in person. Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said one
of the impacts of Proposition 39 would
be to make it harder for women to vote,
since many women take their husband's name. She said
they would be required to go through extra steps to vote.
They are putting up obstacles to
participation to vote. And women, sisters out there,
if you have your husband's name in marriage,
you're going to have to go find
your birth certificate in order to vote.
Supporters of Proposition 39 have said
in their social media that the measure is a bipartisan way
to modernize voting.
The signatures to put it on the ballot
came from Democrats and Independents.
With Prop 39, just show your license,
a free voter ID, or use four digits from a government ID.
And it keeps mail ballots, so voting stays easy.
Governor Gavin Newsom said the measure
is just one of the latest tools Donald Trump
is using to undermine American democracy.
We will lose our republic, we'll lose this country,
unless we turn out in numbers and margins
where we cannot contest this race.
It's that foundational, that fundamental.
A California Senate Elections Committee study
found voter fraud is rare in the state,
with just 10 cases confirmed in elections from 2020 through 2024.
In those cases where the ballots were illegally cast,
those votes were invalidated.
In San Francisco, Christian Castan, KTVU, Fox 2 News.
Good night, L.A. weather is sponsored
by the law offices of Larry H. Parker.
Well, we've had beautiful conditions across the weekend.
Yesterday, temperatures warm, conditions dry outside.
We got another dose of that for today.
The bigger difference is the fact that we did have
a few coastal alerts go into effect.
Most of that is going to line up to Ventura County,
through Los Angeles County, and into Orange County as well.
We'll go ahead and get right to it.
These coastal advisories will
be in place through Thursday of this week.
So we're looking at two different alerts here.
We have an advisory in place.
This does include the L.A. County coastline, but also west of us.
So into Ventura County,
stretching into portions of Santa Barbara as well,
where we could potentially see that minor
to moderate coastal flood activity.
The further south you go, we are looking
at a more significant chance to get some of that coastal flooding.
As we do have that high tide cycle rolling in,
we are looking at the potential for king tides.
So we do have a warning across the Orange County and areas south of.
Now, here's a look at what we're expecting to happen through this week.
Again, these advisories in place until Thursday.
As we roll into this following week,
king tides will be some of the issues that we'll be looking at,
especially during that morning cycle.
Tomorrow morning,
we are looking at that next tide cycle being in the 9 o'clock hour.
So we'll be possibly seeing those levels get up to 8 feet,
anywhere between 7.5 to 8 feet.
We are looking at the possibility of flooded parking lots,
some of our roads out there,
and the potential for some of those homes being impacted as well.
The list doesn't stop there.
We could potentially see the continuation
of this beach erosion activity as well.
Went ahead and pulled a beach forecast for you.
Depending on where you are,
we are looking at numbers here that include the surf.
surf not to be confused with our tide cycle
so from Ventura County into Los Angeles we are
looking at our surf going anywhere from two
to four feet if you're in Orange County it's going
to be the same setup we may see sets of five
and down into San Diego also two to four feet there
the water temperatures ranging from the upper 60s to the mid 70s
and obviously on the sand
temperatures are going to be right around
their normal we may get some of those areas that do
dip right below our rip current risk sitting at a moderate
but a reminder again that coastal flood
alerts are going to be in place where
those high tide cycles could get up to eight feet so during
that time we do urge anyone to stay away
from those beaches those jetties but also those berms
not to be stood on now if you're in the inland section
our temperatures are expected tomorrow
to top off in the 70s for the la area
and here's a look at some other locations we will get some
80s on the map as well and the further you go
to the inland sections of the inland empire also some
low 80s mountains topping off in the 60s i'll
be back with a look at that seven day forecast but
also more news on the other side of this break i dream
of genie star barbara eden was in town this
weekend for the Hollywood show
in Burbank Fox 11's Glenn Walker got a chance to talk with her
about her life and career I dream
of genie has been entertaining audiences
for generations and
the main reason is TV icon Barbara Eden she's backstage right now
the Hollywood show in Burbank
after signing autographs and taking photos with fans today
and she joins us now live Barbara Eden
Welcome to LA Live News tonight, thank you Happy
to be here, happy to have you here, let's talk about
I Dream of Jeannie, it's been active on YouTube's page
with recent clips and episodes getting
thousands of views, what is it about this show
that continues to appeal to people all these years
well you're asking
the wrong person uh i think it's a a theme
that's been popular for thousands
of years and uh our character our characters live on yeah you
and Larry Hagman had some real magic
on that show well it was magical that's what it
was about it was magic happy days yeah it was a
fun show it was one of my favorite shows
when i was a kid um well of course i dream of Jeannie
what you're known for best you have
been on many TV shows including I Love Lucy and as a matter of
fact you also did a Dallas episode
with Larry Hagman J.R. Ewing yes yes i did um what's the
secret to always continually getting steady work like
that in Hollywood oh i don't know i think you
have to like it yeah like it a lot i'm i've always
said i'm very happy that i could be in a business
that i enjoy so many people have to work
and they don't like their work but they have to do it but
I like mine, well I noticed one thing
in the clips we're showing uh when you walk in you
certainly own the room uh you're also known for dancing
and singing let's take a listen and a look
at a uh at a clip of you performing okay so what
i heard yesterday we were doing this interview i
I saw this clip about a month ago on social media,
and I said, we've got to put this clip in.
My goodness.
I've got to ask you about the clip of you dancing
to KC and the Sunshine Band, Boogie Shoes.
Where was that done?
Was that part of a show, or what was that?
No, that was separately.
I don't know which network it was on,
but when I was doing Genie, we did it for a season,
and then summer took off and i would always go to vegas
and sing or do something uh like that
well what i got out of that clip is i said you
when you walk in a room you would own it
you certainly own that dance floor
and in that clip it's like every guy in the room wanted to
kind of slide up and dance with you
and you were the envy of every woman who was in that uh in that
room at the same time well you were so kind to say
that well hey you were um you were uh you were
the it girl that's for that's for sure in your time
and frankly you still are I I am very very
lucky I have the nicest fans I think
that anyone could have I haven't had one stinker
I can certainly understand why. Again, Barbara Eden,
a pleasure to talk to you and I hope you
have a fun weekend. Well, thank you
so much. We'll be right back.
Welcome back. Here's a look at some
of today's top stories. In Northridge this morning,
a multi-vehicle crash injured nine people. Two of
them are in critical condition tonight.
They were trapped in their cars and firefighters had to cut
them out. It happened on Reseda near Lassen.
Four other patients refused transport. The cause of the
crash is under investigation.
With election day now just 10 days away, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass
and challenger Nithya Raman are making their final push for votes.
Bass joined Congressman
or Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove
and Jasmine Crockett today in South L.A., rallying supporters
and leading a get-out-the-vote phone bank.
Raman also hit the campaign trail this weekend,
rallying volunteers
and making her case to undecided voters as the November 3rd runoff
approaches. She received the endorsement
of the Black Los Angeles Young Democrats,
who cited her record on tenant protections and reducing rent increases.
A big ticket ballot item is Proposition 37.
It would create a loan program to help middle-income buyers
cover the down payments on new homes.
But how would it work and what are the potential risks?
Fox 11's Laura Diaz explains.
For many Californians, the biggest obstacle to buying a home
isn't the monthly mortgage payment.
it's coming up with tens
or even hundreds of thousands of dollars for a down payment.
Buying a home in California is just too expensive.
That's where we're voting yes on Prop 37.
That's where Proposition 37 comes in.
The measure would create a state-backed second mortgage program
for eligible homebuyers.
The idea is to help qualified buyers cover part of their down payment,
making it easier to purchase a home.
The money wouldn't come from new taxes.
Instead, California would issue bonds to finance the program.
Supporters say it could help thousands
of middle-class families finally become homeowners.
Opponents argue the state shouldn't take
on billions of dollars in additional debt
and question whether the program would actually lower housing costs.
So before you vote, ask yourself three questions.
Who qualifies? Who pays?
And could it actually make homeownership more attainable?
Those are the questions you'll answer November 3rd.
Laura Diaz, Fox 11 News.
Tens of thousands of Israelis living abroad are flying home ahead
of Tuesday's pivotal parliamentary election.
Israel does not allow absentee voting for most citizens overseas.
Today I spoke with two Israeli-Americans
living here in Southern California.
They never before felt the need to fly home to cast their votes.
But they say this time the world is watching.
They've been unhappy with the country's longest-serving prime minister,
Benjamin Netanyahu, especially since before the October 7th massacre.
We see this shift to this crazy ultra-right
behavior, and that doesn't reflect a lot of Israelis.
His goals that are stated are ones that I don't think
are in line with a liberal democracy.
And so that's why we had no choice.
We just don't want to see Israel turn into Iran
in a few years down the road with religious parties controlling
and dictating what the country is going to look like.
The world's been looking at us for the last three years.
This is our opportunity to voice our opinion.
And like I said, regardless of how it ends,
I think it's important also for the world to see
that Israelis have varying opinions
and we're patriotic and we don't always agree with the
current government. And here we are doing something about it.
Brazilian President Luiz
Inacio Lula da Silva won re-election today,
defeating Trump ally Flavio Bolsonaro.
tomorrow. Brazilian citizens living
in Southern California headed to Veterans Park in Culver City
today to cast their ballots.
The site serves as the designated polling place for registered
Brazilian voters. Box Olympics' Christine Devine was in Culver City
and spoke to some of those
voters. I need to change, you know, the way it is, it's not working.
It's not, I don't see any
good results. My brothers, they all have business,
wanted to have a farm and it's not been good.
I'm really proud I get to speak up and show my pride
for being Brazilian and yes, I'm really happy to vote today.
Well, I'm living in the United States, but I have my family in Brazil
and I love my country and I'm hoping the best for my country.
That's why I'm here today.
Because we're not down for fascism over here.
We're not down for people hating on LGBT rights,
women's rights and everybody's rights.
We're here for democracy.
All right, well, you've got the work week ahead for you.
What kind of weather?
Here's Star Harvey.
Well, at the top of our weather headline season,
we are going to be touching on some of those coastal alerts.
So we'll start, though, with a live look here behind me.
We do have the city skyline, a gorgeous view out there.
That's been the story across most of this weekend.
These alerts that I'm talking about
do include a coastal flood advisory,
but also a warning.
They went into effect today
and they will remain in effect through Thursday afternoon.
The first of these alerts is going to be,
again, that coastal flood advisory.
We'll see it stretch into portions of Santa Barbara through
Ventura County and also into L.A. County coast as well.
Now, with this alert in place, we could potentially see anywhere
from minor to moderate coastal flood activity.
We are likely to see some of those levels get to anywhere from seven
and a half to eight feet.
and that's going to be during
our late morning hours we're going to go ahead and push down to
the south here because we do have
a more significant coastal flood alert in place
this is going to be a warning including portions
of Orange County here you'll see that we are likely
going to see some of that parking lot flooding the beach erosion
but also the flooding and impacts
of some of those local homes
so we'll continue to watch for that again those advisories in place
at least until Thursday so again just a forward warning
and advising of people to just stay away
and out of those areas if you can our temperatures today
for downtown here 82 degrees that did bring
us above our normal of 77
so a nice warm dry finish to the weekend we are also getting our
work week started that way as well
but those warm temperatures are going to be short-lived also the
dry conditions. We do have systems that will
be working their way into place as early as
Friday, Friday through the weekend.
We are tracking the possibility of receiving some
precipitation across Southern California.
In fact, I'm going to go ahead and bring up our
seven-day rain outlook. You'll see these colors here.
We do have a lot of blue on the map there
stretching across some
of our inland sections where we could potentially pick up about three
quarters of an inch in some areas may even likely see more than
that over the course of the end of
this week as far as tonight goes we'll finish out
with dry conditions we do have some clouds that
are trying to build in across the area
but you can see we roll over into tomorrow we will get
some sunshine on deck there maybe some clouds holding
on as well our temperatures right now
in the 60s across the city we
also have some upper 60s low 70s across the coast our mountains
Those temperatures hanging around in the 30s.
And, of course, last but not least, your seven-day forecast.
Going for the upper 70s for L.A. tomorrow.
We'll get a warmer start.
Temperatures dropping towards the end of this week.
And then you'll see those rain chances doing their best
to build in here around the Halloween holiday.
We're going to go ahead and send things over to sports with Gerard.
Superstar, thank you.
Hello again.
Coming up, more on the Rams getting back in the win column.
And a nice Lakers comeback in Salt Lake City
as the purple and gold stay perfect.
But first, tonight's Pechanga Sports poll question,
which of these NFC West teams is most likely to miss the playoffs?
Rams, Seahawks, or 49ers?
Head to foxla.com slash vote and cast your vote.
The results coming up at the end of sports.
Fox 11 Sports Desk is sponsored by Pechanga Resort Casino.
Welcome back.
We'll start with week seven in the NFL.
The reeling Rams hitting Vegas,
desperate for a little luck and a much-needed win.
Sitting at 2-4 and tied
for the worst six-game start in the Sean McVay era,
his squad trying to get right at the cost of the Raiders.
But the Silver and Black also coming in hungry.
Losers of three straight games after starting the year 3-0.
Puka Nakua active today.
There's the luck I was talking about.
Despite the scare of a calf injury during practice this week,
second quarter rams up 7-3, knocking on the door for more.
Matthew Stafford faking the handoff, rolls left,
hits Davis Allen wide open in the end zone
for a second time, Allen's second TD of the entire season
as the NFL celebrates Tight Ends Day, makes sense right? Rams leading 14
to 3, they keep pouring it
on later in the quarter, Stafford spotting Nakua
who finds his way into the zone number nine's
third TD of the half as he passes Roman Gabriel
for most touchdown passes in franchise history
with 155 they weren't finished before
the break kyron william takes a handoff finds a gap he's
on his way 17 yards to pay dirt five drives four touchdowns
for the rams in the first half they
head into the break on top 28 to 3 Raiders shortened that gap
but never really threatened
Rams leading 28 18 in the fourth Blake Corum taking
his turn putting this one away untouched
into the end zone four yard TD big offensive effort
from the Rams including 199 rushing yards
on 38 carries as they get back in the win column, 35-21.
I thought our guys came out ready to go.
I thought we had the right energy.
I thought we had the right mindset.
Outside of the first three and out offensively,
I thought Matthew and the offense did a great job.
You know, we were able to balance run and pass,
come away with four touchdowns in the first half.
Defensively, we kept getting stop after stop.
And then I love the fact that we had to weather
a little bit of adversity
in the second half.
You know, some self-inflicted wounds.
Defense got a great sudden change
when we ended up having the one fumble.
And then when they ended up scoring
to cut it to a couple-possession game,
loved the way the offense ended up going right down the field.
But a lot of good things.
A lot of guys stepped up and thought the players did a really good job,
and we've got to be able to build on it.
Staying in the NFC West, Seahawks hosting
the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.
Seattle up 3-0 late in the first half on third and long.
Sam Darnold taking a shot for Jackson Smith and Jigba,
and he hauls in the dime from Darnold for a touchdown.
JSN, 150 receiving yards on the night
as the defending champs win it 20-3,
handing the Chiefs their first loss of the year.
The unbeaten 49ers taking on the Falcons down in the ATL.
Atlanta capitalizing on Niner turnovers in this one
after a Brock Purdy interception.
Michael Pennix Jr. hits former Trojan Drake London for six.
Pennix, three touchdowns, and the defense causing four takeaways.
Falcons win it 29-20 as the 49ers suffer their first loss
of the season. The 2-0 Lakers hitting the road
for the first time this year taking on the Jazz
in Salt Lake City playing in Utah marks the return
of his marks his return to his former club of four
seasons for new Laker center Walker Kessler
but today belonged to Luka Doncic fully putting the
team on his back. Luka continuing to show this is his squad
and this is his Lakers era all tied up
at 71 right before the half. Luka
drops Ace Bailey, knocks down the
step-back three ball before letting him
know. Call this move a controversial
ankle breaker as he seems to
step on Bailey's foot, but the
bucket counts all the same. Lakers heading
to the half, up three. We move
to the end of the third, tied at 100.
The Slovenian superstar lets another
step-back triple go, knocks down another.
Another bucket before the buzzer,
and the dawn was not even close to being done.
Lakers show up 124-121
late in the fourth. Luka
hand in his face doesn't matter the triple gives him 50 points
on the night the first 50 spot of
the season by the way in the NBA Lakers
by six now trying to put it away he feeds Austin Reeves
shot steady bucket ready burying the three
and he hushes the crowd the three-pointer just about
ice is this one 29 for AR
but the story Luka 52 points 10 assist double double Lakers won at 132
23 starting the season three
and oh it's one of the best feelings you know down the stretch
that game uh hitting those threes uh that one leg
that was just a point I didn't make but as long
as we got the win you know i'm happy we have
a tight group i think everybody knew they came
they feel very welcome here
so that's what we want i think we have a great group and you know
I love playing with these guys, Clippers trying
to shock the Thunder on the road in OKC, they trail
99-96 under three to play
but Darius Garland blocked by former Laker Alex Caruso from behind
now Caruso feeds Jalen Williams for the dunk
and it's a five-point Thunder lead, but the game takes
a turn, we're not going to show you the full play due to the content
but Williams goes down hard
on this play suffering a gruesome lower leg injury appearing
to be his ankle known as J-Dub
he battled injuries all of last year
and here has to be stretchered off the court he did give a
Thumbs up to the OKC crowd.
Ultimately, Thunder got the win 108-101,
but they lose a star in the process.
Del Tráfico, LAFC hosting the Galaxy at BMO
with three matches remaining and everything at stake.
Galaxy on the postseason bubble entering
the day in a position for a wild card spot.
Very simple for the black and gold.
They clinch a playoff berth with the win or draw this evening.
El Trafico's all-time leading scorer,
LAFC's great Carlos Vela in the house.
Galaxy in control, though, leading 1-0, attacking in the 51st minute.
Eric Tommy's shot saved, but Joseph Pantel there to clean it up,
his second goal of the match for a 2-0 Galaxy advantage.
However, the black and gold comes storming back.
Now, 2-1 score, 62nd minute.
Stummelman's cross is deflected.
Carlos Garces misplays the ball,
and Leo Walta pokes it into the back of the net.
as LAFC draws level two all black
and gold with one more chance at the death absolutely wild
sequence here JC Marcinkowski a huge save Galaxy block another
but LAFC not done Denis Bouanga
appears to shoot and score right here
but it's waved off for off sides Aaron Long off sides at
the very start of the sequence
so this one ends in a 2-2 draw with the black and gold clinching
a playoff berth it's super important for us to win
these games um and maybe more importantly to
not lose these games at our house
um and to never let them come away with three points we knew that
we're also trying to make a push for the playoffs
and clinch a playoff spot which we did but also
move up the ranking so we can get a home playoff game you know
those are so important World Series
