Officially one week away from the midterm elections,
voters across the country will
decide who controls Congress.
A new Fox News power ranking now favors Democrats over Republicans.
As Fox's Rebecca Castor tells us tonight,
President Trump is hoping to sway a few more
voters before next week's elections.
President Trump is campaigning as if he's on the ballot
this November in hopes that voters
who sent him to the White House will protect his party's
majority in Congress.
We're going to elect Republicans up and down the line. Otherwise,
All of the great things we've done are going to change very quickly.
But Fox's final power rankings show voters seem ready
to give Democrats control of the House,
yet the fight for the Senate is neck and neck.
Texas is one state on the line.
President Trump is hosting two rallies there today
to convince jaded Republicans to support Ken Paxton
over the surprisingly popular Democratic candidate James Tallarico.
If we lose Texas, we lose the United States.
I just don't want Texas to be like California.
I want Texas to be Texas the way it is right now.
With impressive turnout at his rallies,
it's clear the president still has a faithful base.
But you can't ignore his declining approval ratings
and the growing number of GOP voters
who are frustrated with the war in Iran.
That's giving Democrats the advantage on several top issues,
like inflation, gas prices, leadership, and foreign policy.
They are terrified.
They see what we see,
that we're about to win this election on November 3rd.
As always, this will come down to turnout,
and early voting is already outpacing previous midterms
with more than 32 million ballots cast so far.
In Washington, Rebecca Castor, Fox 9.
