Welcome back. It is time to find out what's good with the wolf.
This morning, we're talking about
a wedding story, a parking debate, and the fight against hunger.
Good morning to 99.5's Tara Ward
and Ryan Fox. Morning, guys. Morning, Brandon.
How are you today, honey? Happy Wednesday. I am
doing well. So earlier this year,
Walker Montgomery performed on Good Day. He was engaged at the time,
but now he has tied the knot.
Yeah, he's definitely a husband now. He is John Michael
Montgomery's son and he married another country artist
from a group called Tiger Lily, her name
is Crystal Slowbaugh and uh they did their vows over coffee
because they're always traveling and
they never get to have coffee together
which i thought was kind of sweet just the two of them
but i found it interesting, Bran
and so your future father-in-law is John Michael Montgomery
and he's written some of the biggest country song
love songs ever, she actually walked down the aisle
to Clear Blue Sky by George Strait instead of I Swear
or love the way you love me which are her
father-in-law's big hits, i wonder if there
was a conversation, did he let her off the hook for
that or is she never going to hear the end
of it, i'm just wondering about that for sure, interesting
it was the phrase 'hear me out', yeah yeah for sure i mean i
am sure there's hundreds of people right
now who walk down the aisle
to I Swear, i mean it's yeah yeah well you know maybe maybe in the
Right, right, right, right.
But it's still an adorable couple
and we're super happy for both of them.
And I'm sure that John Michael Montgomery loves her enough to be like,
it's fine if you don't wanna use my song.
Yeah, great fans.
Everybody else did, but don't you, you don't have to worry about it.
I'm sure there's no awkwardness there at all, not at all.
No, not at all.
All right, so stopping at Buc-ee's means you have
to make a tough choice here.
So you gas up and you go shop or you gas up
and you move your car to a parking spot.
I've got some thoughts on this.
And I guess this fueled a debate on your show?
On a road trip for fall break, and we were talking about it,
and then I was at the Buc-ee's in Denton the other day.
And I am a gas up and then go park your car, girl,
because we're going to be in Buc-ee's for a while.
Ryan is a gas up and leave your car there as long as you want to guy.
Because you're gassing up,
you're spending a decent amount of money on the gas.
You're going to spend a decent amount
of money inside because you love Buc-ee's.
And I'm not going to be in there
so long that I feel like I'm clogging up the 80 gas pumps there.
So I'll go in because I'm paying for the gas, then I'll come back out.
What do you do, Brandon?
All right, so I think I'm in the middle of you guys
because I say if you're going to park there,
like Ryan said, you're spending money there.
You're now a customer.
So if you go in and you go in long enough, the same amount
of time that you would have gone in to, say, like pay for gas,
then I think that would be an acceptable amount of time to go in.
If you're just grabbing some beaver nuggets or, you know, whatever.
But if you're going in like Taryn, you're going to go try
on some shirts, you're going to browse through the food area,
whatever they got there at Buc-ee's, all this stuff.
I mean, there's a ton of stuff.
You could spend like an hour there.
That's true.
You'll be sad to know, Brandon, that you and Ryan are in the minority.
We took a poll with our listeners,
and almost every single one of us consider it the Texan way to get
your gas and then move along so the next person can fill their tank.
We're going to bring people around, though, Brandon.
Wow.
We're bringing people around.
She's trying to shame us there, Ryan.
I don't know.
I know, pretty much.
On live TV, no less.
I don't know, man.
