Welcome to TMZ Live.
Ilhan Omar, the congresswoman from Minnesota who is running for
re-election, had an interesting guest on a podcast last night.
It is a man who openly
is going after Jews. Hassan Piker.
And yes, Congresswoman Omar was a guest on this podcast
along with Hassan Piker,
and it was very clear that they are very beyond cozy.
They're pals, and they were palling around.
They are also both lightning rods, if you will.
They definitely say things that get them a lot of attention.
Some of it, especially with Piker,
at times feels like he's trolling people,
but there are definitely things he says
that are very clearly anti-Semitic.
Let's review.
You want to set that up before we get to the soundbite?
Yeah, let's set it up.
Let's set this up.
That Hassan Piker says Jews are inbred.
Hassan Piker says if we **** with Israel,
people will take action against American Jews.
Okay, that's something.
And then he says people don't **** with Israel any longer.
And if Jews in America keep putting this idea out
that they are singularly invested in Israel,
eventually someone will come around and take action.
Not against Israel, mind you, but against American Jews.
So that's a statement he made back in August.
So now.
And by the way, he says he's not anti-Semitic.
Yes.
I can say I'm 6'2 now.
Oh, great.
That makes me what, 6'5?
No, that makes you 6'2.
Anyway, with that backdrop, this was part of their appearance there,
both Hassan and Ilhan talking about why they get so much attention.
I feel like the media has a tendency to highlight everything
that you do, some of the things that I do.
like we're just normal americans trying to to go about our day-to-day
and and trying to organize
against the Trump administration in the same way
that you know white people are doing in general
right it's like why is this look really good
on their screen that's why they like
you think that's why they get you you think
that's why they get you yeah they're like she's
she's so charismatic i think i could see that so look it's interesting
and by the way i think
They might have been joking about
the we're good looking people, but they actually are.
And we're going to get into that at some point this week
because that's a factor in the election.
But what's interesting about this is that if you look at Abdul
El-Sayed, he has tried to distance himself from Hassan Piker.
He very, especially right after he made those comments in August,
he said, look, that guy does not speak for my campaign.
and but she's she's deserving 9-11 yeah yeah oh
those are no no that was an older statement which
she has apologized for which i don't understand
yeah oops i guess how did i say that that america
deserved 9-11 oops but her her calculus
is different than than el sayed el sayed is running
for senate and senate is a typically more moderate part
of the government voters it's it's the same
voters but she's catering to young voters she's made
the political calculus to cozy up but they're
all doing it. And you know what? Well,
he has had to distance himself because moderates are turned
off by this. Amy Klobuchar has called out parts
of the Democratic Party, not just Republicans,
have called out Hassan Piker's rhetoric because it is so fringe left.
And there are fringe right
people as well. There's fringe, you know,
Nick Fuentes and things like that. There are two ways
of looking at this. Either she's catering to young people,
which I'm sure she's doing. Sure. Or is
she embracing what he says? She's absolutely embracing
and she's platforming someone whose
views are very dangerous i mean frank frankly
this is a this is a person who is so far uh outside of
the overton window of acceptable political discourse
that this is dangerous stuff and she
is a she is a sitting minnesota congresswoman
who is now putting on a fringe person it's like
donald trump sitting with nick fuentes
this is the left version of that exactly that right it is
exactly that and look so but but the only reason she's doing it has
to be and yes i agree with you
Maybe she believes some of it.
Maybe.
But also, more than that, she believes
that this is going to help her win this election.
But that's a deeply cynical thing to do.
That is a deeply cynical political calculus.
But then you can certainly ask the question, then, if that many people
are going to vote for her because they espouse Hassan Piker's beliefs,
then it makes you think, well, wait a second.
Is the party moving in that direction?
I don't know if it means the party is moving in that direction.
It just means that you have to live
with the idea that there are people.
No.
i'm saying you have to now have the knowledge
that there are a lot of people out there who
feel that way in this country
so why are you much the way a lot of other groups have felt
when other people were elected like wow i guess
that's how people feel there's something but
why are you slow to say that she may embrace some
of his views i'm just saying i don't know
i'm gonna take it i have no idea i'm gonna well just
the way just the way and you have defended
you have said when people stood next to Donald Trump
or supported him, showed up at a rally,
you have said that doesn't mean
that they espouse everything that he says.
I agree, but there's a difference.
I think it's more like what Derek said. It's when
Donald Trump is having dinner with Nick Fuentes,
I am going to assume that he signs off on
Nick Fuentes.
And that he believes everything that Nick Fuentes believes.
I think there is an alignment.
OK, and then my point is, if you think
that Donald Trump espouses all the things that Nick Fuentes does,
then I have to go, who are all the millions of people
who are voting for him that I'm living in this country with?
Well, you can say it, right?
That's fair.
And that's why I'm saying I agree with you.
That's fair.
If you want to feel that way, that's fair.
What I'm saying is there's an equivalent that if you've got a guy like
Hasan Piker, who is overtly not only anti-Semitic, but Nazi adjacent.
and somebody puts him on stage,
I'm going to take that on face value
that she is embracing those views.
You honestly should.
I mean, he traffics in this type of rhetoric.
And she has to answer those questions.
I'm agreeing with you guys that the bigger concern,
if I were in your shoes, and I have been,
is I'm not so much concerned about the congressperson
who's getting elected.
I'm concerned about the millions and millions of people
in the country who are supporting that.
Who are co-signing on there.
There's certainly a fringe element
of the party that is co-signing with us.
Sorry for being confrontive here, but since when?
When are you sorry about being confrontational?
No, with you, because I am having problems with you right now.
You said, if I were in your shoes, I mean,
we're all in the same shoes, right?
We shouldn't, I mean, it's not like,
because we're Jewish Americans and he's a black American.
I guess I'm saying, where was this energy
when all the Nick Fuentes stuff was going down?
Oh, I certainly had the same energy.
Where was this energy when there were other groups
that were like, well, wait a second.
Donald Trump has said all these things about these groups.
Where was this energy?
Hold on.
When he sat with Nick Fuentes for a dinner,
we were absolutely appalled.
Absolutely outraged.
Because that fringe element of the Republican Party is just
as Nazi as the fringe element of the Democratic Party.
To be clear, by the way,
I'm not disagreeing with you about Hassan Piker.
I completely agree with you about Hassan Piker.
I'm not disagreeing with you at all.
Okay, I'm saying we're all in the same shoes.
Well, Harvey, our chat is asking,
is there any world where this would be beneficial for her?
It seems like all she's doing is making herself more controversial
and adopting her views because of this.
This is absolutely beneficial.
Her calculus is that this is going to drive the youth vote.
That's why she sat with him on a podcast,
because she wants to get them out to the polls to vote for her.
By the way.
And the moderates don't matter to her.
I don't think, and I'm not positive of this,
but everything I've seen, I don't think her race is even competitive.
I don't think so either.
I think she's a shoo-in.
She wants a big turnout from the district.
So this isn't like, I need to win this election.
She's going to win the election.
She's with the bluest district in Minneapolis.
So, Hasan Piker is not necessary for her to win.
No, she's signaling her views and sharing some of those views.
There's no doubt about it.
But will those views work on a national platform?
They don't need to.
They're just going to get her back into office.
They may.
I mean, again, it doesn't have to be the majority of Congress.
If you have a megaphone, we've seen it with MAGA,
we've seen it with the Tea Party, we've even seen it with Democrats.
When you have a small majority,
the people who are the outliers carry enormous weight.
100%.
Look at the power of the squad.
The only thing I'll say is that MAGA
for the Republican Party has been more monolithic, right?
That there have been more Republicans who are willing to vote for MAGA.
That's true.
And I don't think that's true in the Democratic Party yet,
that these beliefs of Hassan Piker,
that all Democrats will vote for that.
When you look at John Fetterman, who is,
he's a Democrat, but he's really more of an independent,
that he has a lot of power.
Was it Manchin?
Yeah, Joe Manchin.
Joe Manchin had enormous power as an independent.
A right-leaning Democrat, yes.
Right, but the fact that he could swing a vote in Congress,
That's why this is so important massively.
My name is Forgiato.
I'm from Virginia.
How are you guys doing?
Good.
Yeah, I think from our perspective,
I think that Omar is trying to galvanize
the youthful left vote.
And I think that's what Hasan Piker represents
is a youthful population to the left
of the Democratic Party.
And I think that's pretty tactful of her to do.
Yeah, but the problem is he supports,
he says, I'll take Hamas over Israel any day.
Any day, Hamas over Israel.
Good luck living under Hamas.
If you're a woman, if you're gay,
if you're black, good luck living under Hamas.
Coming up, why we have to now look at police body cam video
because a three-year-old was playing soccer
and was really good at soccer.
Yes, this really happened or you're about to see it,
but there's more than one side to this story.
Be right back.
People say a lot of things about Florida,
And I think, well, let's be honest, they've earned some of it.
And this story feels like one of those.
Is there an alligator involved here?
Why do we know alligators are involved here?
Not directly that we know of, that we know of anyway.
But why we have to now look at police body cam video,
because a three-year-old was playing soccer
and was really good at soccer.
Yes, this really happened, and you're about to see it.
So, little kid, his name is Nevada, he's number 10,
and he's really good big deal there is always one kid
who's better than all the others
in a youth soccer in any youth soccer league
um but this kid was so good that he really started
I mean he's just dribbling around everybody, he's really really good
and maybe too good so there was some
discussion as to why so first the first video you're going
to hear here this is Nevada's father
and he is giving his version of why police were called to the field
but there's more than one
side to this story call the police on the three-year-old
because he's too good they call
the police on the three-year-old
because he had the ball for too long and nobody else can get the
ball so they call the police on him
so that video went viral because of course that goes online
And people are like that other parents,
other parents are pissed off that this kid's so good.
Yeah, that would be outrageous if that's what happened.
Ridiculous.
That's not exactly what happened.
So now this is the organizer of this league
of three year olds explaining to cops why he called the police.
The organizer of the league is the one
who ended up who actually called the police.
And here's his explanation.
So the kid is good.
This man's great.
We're good.
so what happened is he's very advanced compared to the other one
so he scored a lot of goals but
he pushed the kids and do all that stuff
so i try to tell him hey stop don't let him push
don't play without pushing right
so a few weeks ago there's like six kids on the team anyway
i swapped the kids out right because he's
so good I take him out, I'll make everyone deserve
yeah yep they don't like that they tell me i'm ignorant i'm
this and that blah blah blah so i
I went over there again a few minutes ago.
The kid was pushing again, right?
So I called the refs.
I said, listen, if he's pushing,
you just got to let him play, no pushing.
They come over and they say,
oh, this back one, this and that, blah, blah, blah.
Creating a big scene, arguing with the other parents.
I just want him out.
Immediately.
And we'll just get their names
so I can give them their refund.
So he's talking about kicking the kid out of the league.
He said, I'll give the parents a refund.
I think it was $300 they paid.
why were the police called i mean he said
because the pet nevada's parents started getting into it
with the other parents were they fighting well here
is now nevada's parents uh particularly his mom
talking to the police in this body cam footage
she's explaining why things got heated with the
other parents what is the real reason that he called the police
so i guess he's just calling
because i guess he believes that you guys
were causing a disturbance that was interfering with
gameplay over here how they all was in a circle talking about
my son and i walked up but he's
been doing weird things to my son because
my son actually plays soccer they're mad at my son because
he actually plays soccer so i'm a little confused
and i'm a little like baffled because i signed my
kid up for soccer so they literally kicking him out of this place
because he's good at soccer we
stand on the other side we don't never stand with the other parents
so we're not getting into it
with other parents we always on the other side things were said today
because i grown up in one
huddle talking about my son so so the other parents are so huddled up
so the question is
are the other parents talking about the kid pushing
or the other parents saying this is too
good this is so dramatic i mean the police
are just the drama police at this point because
there were no arrests there was no like conduct it
was just the police aren't drama police they
They were called to a scene,
and they ended up in a three-year-old soccer match.
Exactly, because parents couldn't agree.
I mean, now we're getting a little bit more
of a side on at least it was like the league,
the head of the league got called, being like, hey, the kid is good.
This was about the parents jawing at each other,
and the organizer of the league didn't
want it to turn into anything physical, so he calls the police.
It's still ridiculous.
I don't understand.
I'm sure the police showed up, and they're like, where's the alligator?
And then they see the three-year-old boy,
and they're like, oh, he was so cute.
by the way they probably wanted there
to be you go take that but yes there was no alligator
everything's fine here nobody was arrested yeah
this was florida yeah i mean our chat's saying
that the kid is just being a kid even if he
was pushing there should never be a reason that the
situation should escalate to the police being called
on them this doesn't make any sense
hi i'm bernada from jacksonville florida
as a florida native i feel like i should be talking
about this and also as a sister of an athlete
that have been playing since they were young
um situations like this definitely happen i've never had
the whole police but parents will really
get mad if your child or your sibling
is advanced it happens they do not like that especially at
that age he's three years old competing
with older kids a lot of parents put their kids in
these sports just for them to have fun
so when a kid is out there actually competing they don't
know what to do with that so them huddling up
and talking about a child is very weird and very
you know there's a lot that can be talked about
that but at the end of the day he was out there
trying to have fun and the parents were not in the wrong
which parents weren't in the wrong i say
the parents weren't nevada's parents
or the other parents the other parents were in the wrong i feel
like um huddling up talking about a child
is is not good i feel like uh the child was out there
having fun and he's good at the sport you can't
be mad i feel like a lot of parents want the whole
participation participation award
and that's not with everything some kids are just better and
it happens leave the cops out of it
that's all i'm saying coming up the pentagon announced
Project Fortress, where they are bolstering things
that they need for infrastructure
in case there's war on American soil.
If that sounds far-fetched, it's not going to happen.
There are a lot of people
who are already preparing for this. Be right back.
TMZ's got every freaking thing. Big celebs, big stories, big events.
Donald Rawlings took TMZ DC on a city tour.
You know what the irony of this is?
A black man takes a white person to the White House.
well the pentagon has a lot of people worried
about war or about not just about world war
three but about the possibility of war on american soil
so the pentagon announced that
they have been working
on something called project fortress uh where they are basically uh
bolstering all sorts of things packing up lots
of uh things like batteries and other things that
they need for infrastructure over a long haul
that they want to make sure america's military bases
are ready in case there's war on american soil
if that sounds like something like that's you know
far-fetched it's not going to happen there are a lot of people
who are already preparing for this
long before the Pentagon came along and announced this.
I guess they're like, they're doing their own Project Fortress.
Doomsday Preppers is a title
that some people have given to these folks.
Right today, I'm guessing these folks feel like they're really smart
after hearing what the Pentagon is up to.
Unless this is a kind of a macho thing the Pentagon is doing.
Could be.
Well, joining us now to talk about this is someone who's become known
in the circles as the doomsday queen.
Crystal has been prepping for a doomsday scenario
for many, many, many years, and by the way,
does some amazing things, which we're going
to get into with her. So Crystal,
welcome to TMZ Live. How are you doing?
Good. How are you?
We're good. This is really fascinating.
So you've been doing this for a long time, and
we've read some of the things that you do.
Why don't you just kind of go through top
line, you know, how you're preparing
in the event something like this happens?
So for our family, I believe every single family across
the country should be prepared for just
basic level blackouts. Some people can't afford
if their power goes out like hurricanes, they lose
everything in their freezer, their fridge.
And so just starting to build up and it's kind of like
how we have car insurance, right?
We don't go out and buy our car and think, oh, we're going to
total it next week. So it's just that little bit
of an insurance plan for just the average person.
And then it can grow into something so much more.
Tell you for 10 years, you've been preparing how,
what are the things that you are stockpiling
or putting aside or even growing for your family to
be ready? So I grow the majority of our food.
I'm trying to get to over 70% of our own food
grown at our house and then i preserve it i put
it away, freeze dry it, Mylar can it, and it's kind
of the lost old ways. Most of us all probably have grandparents
that preserve their own food and put
it away and ate from that, and we've become very dependent
on the grocery system and it kind of
proved that I told you so when
the pandemic happened, we saw a lot of people panic when
they saw empty shelves, we never saw any empty
shelves. You, I mean you, you say you're just
growing to get to 70% of your food.
I'm reading that you grew, you grow about 800 pounds of your
own fruits and vegetables every year. Yep.
And then I also do hunting too. So I like to source
our own meat. And then we work with local
farmers cause we don't have any cattle yet.
So what's in, in, in this community, what are the big concerns?
I realize, you know,
we just had a pandemic
and that kind of everything went askew because of that.
I hear what you're saying about power outages.
There's a lot of talk about a foreign country,
you know, just destroying our our power grids.
And there's talk about civil war, which seems to be a thing
that has loomed in our country over the last 10 years.
What are the what's the biggest concern?
I mean, I know those all of those are possibilities.
Which one do you think is most likely at this point?
So currently right now, over the last 10 years,
we've seen the biggest push towards digital currency and everything.
You can't even pay your electricity bill inside
your power companies now.
Everything is online. Everything is digital.
And a lot of people don't fully understand of how much cybersecurity
that they're having to put into our infrastructure.
Our infrastructure is extremely outdated.
And we've seen how panic ensues areas
that are affected by storms very quickly.
And when a storm hits, we watched, I mean, what was it,
just in Indiana, there was civil unrest over power outages.
So it only takes about 72 hours for people to start to unravel.
And I think that a grid down is very likely.
Wow. Wow.
Are you concerned that if that happens, and as you say,
people are not really equipped to survive more than 72 hours,
you know, if something cataclysmic happens,
are you concerned that people know that you and others
like you have all of this food and that just as a matter of survival,
they're going to come after
you to get it? Oh, absolutely.
That is always a big forefront thought for any person who does
preparedness. But my core values come from my grandparents.
My grandparents were also
doomsday preppers and they believed
that it wasn't something to be gate kept and if more people
prepared less havoc would happen
so that has been my goal is to get one more person prepared so that
when something happens whether it's a winter storm like
the Texas freeze hurricanes or a grid down
scenario which is what the Pentagon is talking about
with Operation Fortress that there is less
people more chaotic than more people unprepared what what
is the reaction of people that you know
people in your town obviously people know what you
do are more are you convincing more people
are there more people going like they're they're
they're crazy they don't they don't need we don't
need all that much stuff i think over the last 30 years
at the very beginning more people looked at
me like i was crazy and as time has gone
by we went through the pandemic more people are like
oh, maybe I should be a little bit more self-sufficient or,
oh, look at the gas prices.
Have those affected you yet?
And I'm like, not really. We prepare for everything.
I got to tell you, I got to tell you,
I was one of those 30 years ago that thought you were crazy.
I don't think you're crazy anymore.
And what you're saying about attacking our infrastructure,
it feels as real as just about anything right now.
So I got to tell you, you made me think
you really did well we have
so for instance did you guys know that there's over 20 countries
right now where their governments have insured
or not insured but in trying to influence their
citizens to start preparing
and this is the first thing that the United States has even mentioned
20 countries worldwide unsurprising yeah
that we're behind the curve yeah unsurprising definitely
so appreciate you coming on i appreciate you guys
for letting me come on your show it's really
really interesting thank you crystal giving us
a lot of people to think a lot to think about for
sure it's really making me think coming up jay-z
has made it official he is going to be performing
the super bowl halftime show
when it goes down february 14th next year here in la who picked him
rock nation who runs rock rock nation a woman named desiree perez what
who else are you thinking of
Be right back.
Jay-Z has made it official.
He is going to be performing the Super Bowl halftime show
when it goes down February 14th next year here in L.A.
Who picked him?
Roc Nation.
It is a company that has been producing the Super Bowl halftime show
for seven years now, and they've been very successful.
Who runs Roc Nation?
Roc Nation, a woman named Desiree Perez.
Who else are you thinking of?
Who owns Roc Nation?
Oh, it's a rapper.
Sean Carter.
His name is Sean Carter.
Yes, a guy named Sean Carter runs it.
Yeah, that guy.
Okay, yes, it is Jay-Z.
And Harvey is getting at what some people think is a slight controversy
about Jay-Z doing this Super Bowl halftime show.
He is certainly qualified, has the hits, has the experience,
can bring out anybody,
anybody as a guest star if that's what you're looking for.
I could. I'm not arguing that you're 100 percent.
The only thing is because he and his company are the ones who select.
So have you ever seen have you ever seen like one of these sweepstakes
where they where people in the company that has have the sweepstakes,
they can't enter because it just doesn't look right.
No, you see it on TV all the time that, you know,
that the company can't enter, you know, and and and it feels kind
of like if this were the Emmys and somebody was responsible,
for handing out Emmys, even if they're worthy,
would you give yourself an Emmy?
A lot of people would.
A lot of people do vote for themselves.
Yeah, by the way, and they do.
But there's a key element here.
There's a key thing here you are leaving out.
When Roger Goodell asked Roc Nation to do the halftime show,
he specifically wanted
Jay-Z to do it.
That was part of it.
I want you to do it.
And Jay-Z said, no, if the time ever comes up,
if it ever feels right, then I will.
But he's on tour now celebrating
the 30th anniversary of his album, Reasonable Doubt.
This is the best time it's ever going to be.
to you that the commissioner
of the NFL made it clear seven years ago more than seven years ago
that he wanted Jay-Z and he said no for seven years okay
so i can i i will accept the argument
is it then coincidental that this Super Bowl
is going to go down on Valentine's Day and almost
certainly Beyonce is going to come out
is that coincidental that's less that's less of a
coincidence that seems like that's what people expect
as soon as they announced Jay-Z every
Beyonce fan was like oh great that's kind
of the least exciting thing to me this is the third time
she's done a halftime show it's not as exciting
you don't think you don't think she's gonna come
out i don't know we will
but this will be the third time i don't know i think it's 50 50 i think
the big issue is is Blue Ivy gonna come out well probably oh
if Blue Ivy comes out and not Beyonce
oh i'd be so excited to see what people say the next day yeah
so this this is gonna be a family
thing if yeah if she does i don't know again
remember okay charles limited amount we don't
want to get the Blue Ivy actress
is that a thing i don't know probably probably hi i'm kendra green
i'm from salt lake city
and i you know jay-z's actually been kind of killing it the past
few years i feel like with the halftime shows
with bad bunny with kendrick lamar
with rihanna and so i have high hopes that he'll have just
as good of a halftime show i do think
it's a very funny thing how he's like i'm just gonna choose myself
and you know what good for
him if you have the the means to do that do it
so uh i just know there's high expectations and
he better deliver so i think he knows that and i think
also he's seen the reviews of his shows
at Yankee Stadium and here at SoFi this past weekend.
He puts on a big, big show.
Oh, it's going to be great.
I think that'll be fine.
By the way, why it took him so long to announce it,
because remember, the story came out last week.
And he was at SoFi over the weekend,
so he could have announced it then.
The reason he didn't, the Super Bowl is on ESPN this year
for the first time, and so he waited until Monday Night Football,
which ESPN airs, so ESPN could make the announcement.
Okay, final thing.
If you had to bet whether Beyonce is going to come out,
would you bet yes or no?
I'm going to bet no.
Elizabeth Holmes is a hot topic once again.
Because of the popularity,
the incredible success of the documentary, you can see everything.
I'm shocked at how much money this documentary,
it just doesn't happen that documentaries make this kind of money.
And there is an Oscar buzz for this movie now.
Yes. Oh, that's definitely going to happen. So part of we're,
you know, uncovering this, the success of the documentary,
we were digging through some of the legal filings around her case.
So when you came across what she was,
remember when she was convicted, there was a sentencing hearing.
Twenty twenty two. And before the sentencing hearing,
her husband, Billy Evans, submitted a long letter
to the judge describing Elizabeth Holmes from his vantage point.
And I got to say this letter, I could not put it down.
It's a long letter and it was riveting.
And I know you haven't seen the documentary yet.
I haven't seen it either.
I'm seeing it Saturday.
But I feel like this letter is the same reason
that people are so fascinated with this documentary
is the reason this letter is so fascinating.
Because Billy is portraying a version
of Elizabeth Holmes that people haven't heard about.
Right.
It really paints her in a different picture than
this fraudster, Silicon Valley fraudster,
that she was kind of made out to be in the mainstream.
He calls her, you know,
loving and selfless and humble and kind and determined.
And it's interesting, too.
He even calls her naive.
He says that people take advantage of her for her kindness,
which, you know, is ironic given she's in prison.
He tells stories.
And he tells a story about her dog that was snatched up.
Snatched by a mountain lion.
And that she searched for 16 hours trying to find the dog,
and the dog had died.
And she was so determined, you know,
to try and save it if she could save it.
And then the ocean story was fascinating.
Oh, the story about swimming, that she wanted to swim underneath
the Golden Gate Bridge when she was pregnant?
Yes, yeah.
And that he watched her training to do this thing?
like she does sound from his version of this letter
which was a very long letter to the judge
um like a very human person like not just human
but really like this caring it's and and he gets
into you know he says all of the articles Wall Street Journal
that it was just trying to slander
her and he wanted to give his version
so what was his ask of the judge at the end of this letter
like what does he i mean obviously asked him
for leniency of some sort yeah did he did he put a
number on it no he didn't put a specific number
but basically what his plea was hey we're a growing
family we have a young kid at home we don't want
our children to grow up with our mom in prison or
you know you only see her during prison visits
so the plea was basically just to really humanize
her and paint it as she's not this bad person
that everybody makes her out to be it's really
I gotta say the letter and I'm not saying you buy it all
and she could be two different people in
But it is a really, really compelling letter.
And she is about to get out to, well,
she's going to be in a halfway house.
So she is going to be the most sought after interview in America.
Coming up.
A lot of people are talking about Donald Trump's mental state after
the Bill Maher Truth Social rant.
Trump went off in a dozen directions.
But if the election does not go Trump's way,
what will his mental state be?
Be right back.
A lot of people are talking about Donald Trump's mental state after
the Bill Maher Truth Social rant where Trump went off in a dozen directions
going after Bill for what he said on his television show Friday night.
So, you know, people have been kind of raising this issue.
But if the election does not go Trump's way,
and it certainly looks like it's not,
and Trump is a lame duck in the White House
and there are investigations, what will his mental state be?
Beginning on the day after Election Day, once he knows,
because he knows that the investigations are coming
and perhaps impeachment again if the Democrats win.
so we actually talked to Senator Mark Kelly, Democrat
from Arizona, he was out in New York
City and um we talked to him about what this means
for Trump if you guys take a big W in a week yeah
take over the Senate actually the American people take
the big W what do you think that's going to
do to his mental state well he has demonstrated over
the years that he will uh when stressed he
will do some take some pretty extreme measures i mean this is the guy
who when he didn't win
the election in 2020
and he wasn't happy about it couldn't accept it he sent a mob to attack
Congress okay so yeah i mean lame duck Donald
Trump second time around yeah i think we've got
to be concerned but at the same time we can't allow
that to change what we do and how we conduct
ourselves in the United States Senate what if he just takes the Dems W
and tries to flip it into
an L and thinks okay i'm gonna tank the economy now
because uh i'm pissed and i want to show
people that the Dems when they're in charge it doesn't go
too well we're gonna stop them we're
gonna we'll stop them doing it congress has you know some authorities
to do things we can't let
this guy you know scare us i'm never gonna
be intimidated by him he still has the nuclear
football like that's what i'm saying he might be pissed
and he's not just going to go down
quietly you're saying that they need
to be held accountable i don't think people need to worry
about that really he there there are issues with this guy
but they're they they should not be
worried about that i think based on things i know
that kelly what he's saying about not using not
going nuclear is correct that he would not that was very level-headed
because a lot of times you
might a Democrat might have taken
a different Democrat might have taken the opportunity to
sort of scare people that that's something,
but I kudos to him for being level-headed as well.
But my point, but now when the other stuff,
yeah, when he says that Donald Trump does not
take a loss easily, that's just undeniable.
Right. And, and, and he, you know, he isn't
Clinton and Stacey Abrams gone though.
I don't think it's like that. I do. I don't think it's
like that when you're prosecuting James Comey three times.
I don't think it's like that when
your process what to your point oh
so what did hillary clinton do she denied the election she
she she questioned the results stacy abram i don't know
if she's still conceded losing
the uh the governorship of georgia i mean
this is what politicians do it's only an issue when
donald trump does it well because let's just
be consistent it's something called an insurrection
well i would disagree about what he said
the whole characterization there about sending an army but
Anyway, did Hillary Clinton do anything that would approach
that you could even kind of say there was
insurrection? No, no, there was not.
And by the way, we're talking about a fair, fair to say
Donald Trump did not order them to go and break into the Capitol.
What he did do is watch television
for hours and allow me to try to send the National Guard.
Why are we re-litigating January 6th?
Nobody cares. Here's the bottom line.
Nobody cares about January 6th. Nobody. I can't. You can't.
But because you're financially set to harvest,
you can't pay your gas with January 6th.
You try to put your January 6th card
in there and it doesn't get you gas.
That doesn't bother you.
Hold on.
Have a more effective messaging here.
Look at the screen.
That doesn't bother you?
Wait.
That doesn't bother you?
You want to stand on gas prices?
Is that not a use as a thing?
Because that doesn't bother you.
No, I don't like that.
I would never do that.
I don't like that.
But we're talking about if the president sent them there.
That's what we're talking about.
What I'm worried about is what he's going
to do in the last two years if he loses this election.
I know, but you've been saying this.
He's not going to leave last time.
It's always this crazy fear-mongering,
Jacob needs a Prozac, the nuclear codes?
Are we kidding?
That was unhinged by Jacob.
It's the retribution.
We can agree that Jacob needs a Prozac.
It is the retribution that I'm really worried about.
That he goes, I mean, like, he's prosecuting James Comey a third time.
No, right.
I mean, but what else is he going to do in pulling
the levers of government in the last two years?
He suggested he was going to crash
the American economy to make the Democrats look bad?
No, no.
Do you know how crazy that is?
Do you realize that he won the popular election
by more than 3 million votes?
To your point.
I know we think because we're living in this vacuum and we've got the-
It's not going to happen this time.
Well, he's not up for election.
He said he is.
He said, treat it like I'm on the ballot.
Treat it like I'm on the ballot.
Oh, yeah, because he's trying to get his people out there.
But this is a referendum on Donald Trump.
I don't disagree with you then.
If he says that, then he takes responsibility for the loss.
Can I ask you one other question?
Go ahead.
Pointed question.
Yes.
Did you get that chain from the Cheesecake Factory?
Go on, show it.
Go on.
I mean, if you're aware, show it offline.
I liked the Cheesecake Factory, and I went there on Sunday.
Coming up.
You said a couple weeks ago, right,
that Nick better not have any more kids.
You and Nick, of course, have a son together.
Yeah, he can do whatever he pleases.
For me, I do not believe that there's enough time in the day
and a person could be in so many places
and have that many kids and responsibilities
and it be fair, so why add more?
Be right back.
So this is a pretty fortunate that we got paid
a visit today by Brie Tiese. Brie,
welcome. Thanks for coming in.
And there's some big news for the Selling Sunset cast.
I'm sure you heard about Chrishell's breakup from G Flip.
She posted about it this
weekend. She was very upset about it.
You didn't get along with her, my recollection.
No, we didn't get along very well.
So, your reaction to it?
I'm so sorry.
Yours.
Oh, great.
You tried.
She had a lot to say about my relationship,
so I'm going to let her do the talking on other people's relationships.
I have nothing to say.
Okay.
Wish them the best.
Okay.
What about the future?
Men or women?
I think she might come back to our team, in my opinion.
Jason?
Ooh, Jason.
I hope she doesn't go back to Jason.
Jason left a comment on her post saying,
we're always here for you and you know that you're loved.
Was that him reaching out to maybe rekindle?
No, I think he's genuine.
I think Jason does care about Criselle.
I think that he cares about most women at the office,
so I think he's genuine.
Yeah, he's dated, like, all of them except me.
Well, who doesn't he care?
See, when you say most, then the first thing I think is,
well, who doesn't he care about?
I think, minus our new cast shake-up,
I don't believe he's had any girlfriends there.
But before, he had dated, I think, everyone, actually.
Okay, let's talk ultimatums.
Uh-huh, yes, your ultimatum.
I was fascinated by this, that you said a couple weeks ago, right,
that Nick better not have any more kids.
You and Nick, of course, have a son together.
Yeah.
I believe, was your son number 10 of the 12?
Do you remember?
No, I don't even remember.
Nine, nine?
No, I don't know.
Eight or nine of the 12.
In all fairness to me, I didn't know about
the other kids when I was pregnant.
So I didn't sign up for that.
Well, you knew about some of that.
You knew about the ones who were born before,
but you didn't know that there were two other moms at that time.
Yeah, I wasn't aware of that.
So I didn't necessarily sign up for that.
So you said 12 is the limit and you better not have a 13th.
No, I just don't believe he can do whatever he pleases for me.
I do not believe that there's enough time in the day
and a person could be in so many places
and have that many kids and responsibilities and it be fair.
So why add more?
Can he do it with 12?
He's doing good.
He's trying.
He's killing himself doing it, but he's doing it.
I just think for me, it doesn't make sense.
And if that's what you want to do, good for you.
But I'm not for it.
So if he were to have a 13th, does
that mean you're just not going to date him anymore?
I haven't decided.
I would have to see how I feel.
I don't, I don't.
You've got to stand on this ultimatum.
No, I just, for me, I can't make decisions for a grown man.
But I also don't like giving people ultimatums
because I don't like ultimatums.
I'm just saying I don't think it makes sense.
I don't think it's necessary.
So he can do as he pleases.
but it's just not for me haven't you heard
of a baker's dozen yeah i have he hasn't apparently
but yeah uh we really appreciate you coming
in thank you i appreciate it nice to see you guys
thank you all right coming up well
if you want more evidence that Tom Brady is killing it and
i don't mean just in dating supermodels like
Candice Swanepoel he showed off the watch he
was wearing sunday be right back well
if you want more evidence that Tom Brady is killing it and i
I don't mean just in dating supermodels like Candice Swanepoel.
He showed off the watch he was wearing Sunday during the game,
the Packers-Lions game.
By the way, you can get that watch for a cool and reasonable $500,000.
It is a Rolex Daytona Rainbow, or Rainbow Daytona.
It's got diamonds.
It's got sapphires.
Was that a flex?
Was he doing that?
He does this, apparently.
He shows off his timepieces.
He's very proud of them and shows them off before
or after the games that he calls on Sundays.
It's a rainbow.
It's a rainbow.
It's a rainbow.
You see it?
Yeah.
That's why it's called the Daytona Rainbow.
No, I understand.
It's got a LGBTQ kind of flavor to it.
You know what I'm saying?
No?
See you tomorrow.
