Warrants reveal 4-year-old found dead, hidden in closet

New information tonight involving the murder of a little boy in southwest Atlanta. Police have now arrested a second woman, charging her with murder and cruelty to children. Let's go to Fox 5's Angelique Proctor at the Fulton County Jail live for the latest, Angelique. Well, good afternoon to you, Christine. We have more disturbing details about this case. We've gotten our hands on the arrest warrant for suspect Smoke, and it is alarming. It indicates that Kobe Cook's body was found under a pile of clothes in the master closet. The child's injuries were so numerous, I can't begin to detail them all. Multiple abrasions, lacerations, and contusions We've also learned it was suspect Smoke's father who dialed 9-1-1. After smoke told him, the child got into some medicine. This is the second suspect, Jasmine Jenkins. I am told that she was at the Cardinal Drive townhome when four-year-old Kobe Cooks was killed. Jenkins is the mother of five children. I am also told by a family friend that Jenkins was in the car that left southwest Atlanta and fled to Wilkes County. The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office tells us little Kobe Cooks died of blunt force trauma. We have also learned his five-year-old brother, Caden, is injured. A family friend. And a member of the family both tell Fox 5 the boy's mother, Amanda Malone Walker, is in jail now in Noonan. This friend says she has been in constant contact with the mother. She also says many of the people involved in this case lived with her. That includes suspect Smoke, the mother Malone, and her two boys. She says they all lived with her in the summer of 2025. The friend says she saw lots of warning signs and was really not surprised that the death happened. It was like it was a manipulation and it started, Becoming like a control thing with Jasmine, she couldn't speak up like she wasn't allowed to have a phone. If she went away from Jasmine, she couldn't have a phone when she came to my house after she moved, she was not allowed to have a device. She was under literally the control of a monster. She was scared. Kobe's brother Caden is still in an area hospital being treated for severe injuries. He is five years old. The family has set up a GoFundMe account. Now, the warrant also indicates that the body temperature was consistent with the death taking place some 12 to 24 hours before the body was discovered, so he was likely killed on Sunday.
