The U.S. Army To Purchase One Million Drones PLUS!

James Kaufman, World News Report Today. Ladies and gentlemen, the U.S. Army to buy one million drones plus. The Army intends to buy a million drones in the next two to three years and step up its industrial capacity to keep soldiers supplied with millions more in the years to come. The ambitious shopping list comes courtesy of Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll, who outlined the acquisition plan to Reuters. Currently, the Army purchases about 50,000 drones per year, Reuters has reported, but the new order for the next three years would be at least 20 times that number. Driscoll and Major General John Rehm, commander of the Picatinny Arsenal, told Reuters that scaling up the acquisition would be a big lift. They specifically cited the ongoing war in Ukraine where cheap drones have dominated combat for the last three years as a major reason for the large expansion. The Army did not give a breakdown of the type of drones it plans to buy, but the service has been experimenting with everything from small quadcopters to first-person viewers to one-way attack drones. All types of drones. will be a large component of any conflicts in the future. The Army said that currently they thought that the Ukraine was manufacturing about a million drones a year, and that China was probably manufacturing twice that many already. That alone should tell you that we're way behind the eight ball, and this is a catch-up move. One million drones over the next 24 months. And plans to buy at least a million a year after that. It sounds like right now, with 50,000 drones purchased each year, we could be swarmed at any moment. God bless, folks. Please share. Please subscribe. Give us a thumbs up. And remember that anything's possible in Bizarro World.
