Trying to decide between the different Moleskine planner formats? In this video, I compare the Moleskine Daily Planner, Weekly Notebook, and Weekly Diary to show the differences between each layout. I also compare softcover and hardcover versions and explain which format I personally prefer for everyday use and travel.
You'll see how each planner is structured, who each format is best suited for, and why the Weekly Diary remains my favorite Moleskine layout.

Different types of Moleskine Planners Notebooks Comparison.
Hello everyone, this is Amit Dhan. Today in this video
I'm going to talk about the differences between different types
of Moleskine Planners or yearly or weekly notebooks
This video should clear up
things so
you can determine which one is the best suitable for you
and also in the past i used to get
confused by like you know these different type
of wording for what are they so the first one
is the bulkiest one
and you can see that it has the most pages and this is called
Daily planner. So this one has the word daily and planner.
Now the reason I think the reasoning
behind daily is that each day gives you one page
and throughout the planner it follows the same
rule. So you get one page for every day.
But I don't like this type of planner because I need
to see the whole week at a glance.
So for that reason I just bought this only once and I'm going
I'm going to set it aside here.
And the next one I have here is this is called weekly notebook
so Moleskine weekly notebook
and if you take a look here they're reasoning
for this is that each week has a notebook paper
or a piece of paper where you can like you
know jot down uh notes or your thoughts or
any important highlights or anything uh
so this for some of you this may like you know be the
suitable one but i don't like also this format
because i need to see like an all at once
so for that reason i bought this once and uh you know i'm not going to
uh buy this again so this one has week on the left
and a space for notes on the right
and again this is called moleskine weekly notebook
and the next one is the one which
is my favorite and i always buy
these and this is called let's take a look at the name
Moleskine weekly diary right here
and you can see that this is the one I like
each week you can see like
at a glance so
For example, you can sort through for which week you have what
and the appointments or anything so you don't need to like, you know
uh look for something else all right here
and you can see if you have any appointment or anything
or especially for travel this is very useful
so whenever i'm traveling i usually can fill up with
my dates so i don't have like you know duplicates
or anything and this is my favorite format and
then this is the same thing but hardcover
and you can see the name here moleskine weekly diary
And this is also...
weekly diary but this is just hardcover now
this is my personal uh tip that i don't like hardcover
and for that reason in 2026 which is this year i was not able to use
much of it because you know it feels for me like you know bulky
and taking too much space that's
why i like the soft cover
but i noticed that a soft cover is kind of hard to find especially
We'll
online and a little bit more expensive
so this is my choice the soft cover it looks very neat
minimal and very nice and you can
be
when you're traveling it's not going to take up much space
but this thing it looks a little bit bulkier
right
and a little bit like you know
takes more space and somehow i just don't like this one this is my
So that's how what are the main three different types
back.
of Moleskine planners.
Thank you for watching and I'll see you in the next video.
