James Koppman, World News Report today.
Mr. Chairman, we've had another Earth-facing M-class solar flare.
It's been a while,
but we thought the sun might heat up right about now,
and I think we're right, as usual.
So we've had an M-class solar flare.
Let's get into the details.
All right, picked up on our GOES satellite, our GOES X-ray flux.
We see an M1.5 solar flare directly earth
facing generated from sunspot AR4216.
That is correct. That is a beta gamma sunspot.
A little bit more complex and
most of the sunspots are sun right now as I will show you guys.
Put an M1.5 and
Again, out of the sunspot group,
42.16, peaking at 21.41 UTC time.
So that happened just a few hours ago.
And, well, we saw a sea flare come out of that same sunspot today,
but no real activity.
That's the biggest flare we've seen in well over four or five days.
Directly earth-facing, a 1% chance of X-Flares,
only a 35% chance of having an M-Flare.
Did that ship sail or what?
Our NSO Gong, 677 nanometers.
Got our 4216 right there.
Beta Gamma, a bit more complex than most of the sunspots.
Sunspots.
4219 going around the far limb.
4220 another beta gamma sunspot directly earth facing
and it looks like all together we have
And...
nine sunspots earth facing if 4219 is not going around the limb.
Now we should have some other ones that are being named shortly.
All right taking a look
Let's take a look
at Gove's 19th Solar Ultraviolet Imager Part 9 of Actions.
We see that deep, dark, curl hole directly earth-facing.
That's our sunspot group right here, 4216.
And there's no way for us to tell
if the curl mass ejection was ripped up
and lifted from our star yet. But we will keep an eye on that,
and if they confirm one is heading this direction,
I'll be the first to let you know.
So, what else is going on?
Well, like I said, we have that coral hole. It's now earth-facing,
and we're expecting a solar storm or geomagnetic storm,
really, consisting of solar winds
on the 22nd. That's going to be on September 22nd.
I believe it's going to be a very busy
Well, end of the month and maybe a very busy beginning of next month.
And over to our D-Regional Absorption Protection Center,
did that M-Flare emit protons and X-ray radiation?
You bet it did.
There's that C-Flare before, and there's that M-Flare right
over Hawaii, as usual, covering most all the Pacific.
I directed it at 2142 when it peaked here.
So, yes, it did.
Our first M-Class Solar Flare.
Well more than 10 days and we're in our watch period.
As you all know we have a planetary lineup with a well another
geomagnetic connection off at 90 degrees and it's going to mean
Well, we're in trouble, I'm expecting an uptick in solar activity,
an uptick in volcanic activity, and an uptick in earthquake activity,
God bless, please share and subscribe, always remember,
anything's possible, in Bizarro World.
