Today we`ll be riding route 388 from London Bridge to London Liverpool Street.

London Bridge Station. The first station on the site was built of wood in 1836, but more permanent construction followed in the 1840s. In 1849 it was remodeled into two sections to serve the South Eastern and the Greenwich railways. Major repairs were made to the station following World War II.

London Bridge station was opened on 14 December 1836, making it the oldest London railway terminus that is still running.

Why is it called Liverpool Street Station?

The street takes its name from Lord Liverpool, prime minister from 1812 to 1827. With so many other landmarks close by, only the immediate environs of the station are referred to as the Liverpool Street area. ... It is London's (and Britain's) third busiest station, measured by passenger footfall.

The four former London and North Eastern Railway terminals (King's Cross, Marylebone, Fenchurch Street and Liverpool Street) are the stations on a standard British Monopoly board.

The station opened in 1874, as a replacement for Bishopsgate station as the Great Eastern Railway's main London terminus.
