Meteorologist Jared Peepenburg on this Wednesday morning,
waking up pretty damp out there across the area as this large,
slow-moving system continues
to impact Minnesota and the surrounding area.
So, grab that rain jacket and umbrella.
Going to need it again for today
as we'll have some periods of either rain
or even some showers in some places.
These very large systems,
they do pull in some dry air along with all that moisture,
and as it just kind of rotates around the low-pressure system,
We get these spots where.
Rain shuts down and then there's rain off toward the west of you
or to the east of you and then the rain moves in and that's
the way today is shaping up. Now the system is just going
to be kind of pinwheeling and pivoting over Minnesota here today.
So what does that mean for us? Just more of the same.
It's likely going to stay kind of cloudy, a little breeze out
of the west for us and then we'll have some periods of rain out there.
Now again, some folks will have that rain turn off for a while
or may just be some patchy fog or a little bit of mist out there.
But yeah, the rain will likely
impact majority of us at some point today
and maybe periods of the day as well. Here's eight
o'clock later on this evening.
We're seeing the tail end of this system. You see things are
shutting down from northwest to southeast.
Here's early tomorrow morning. I think the early morning
commuters may still have a few showers near the metro
of western Wisconsin, but then the system's
out of here tomorrow. Fairly steady temperatures
and it's going to feel cool. We'll likely stay in
the 40s throughout the day for tomorrow,
which is still pretty close to average for us. 55 for today.
Periods of rain or showers, 46 for tonight.
I think those showers will slowly end,
especially from northwest to southeast.
And I did put that on there.
There's a very small chance tomorrow morning
that some of those showers will remain but
our weather is generally going to trend
a little bit cooler here as we finish off the rest
of this work week. We'll eventually get some more sunshine
as this system departs,
high pressure builds on in that'll clear out a lot of the clouds
and it looks like maybe
back to back big blobs of high pressure move
on in just keeping our weather very stable.
and dry through the extended forecast.
Now, the first air mass that slides
on by is going to keep us cool, though.
As you see, we'll be hanging out in the 40s.
Coldest morning to watch out there will
be Friday night, Saturday morning.
So, you know, deer hunting this weekend across the state.
It'll probably be kind of chilly, especially for Saturday morning.
But then temperatures look to rebound once again.
Looks pretty mild in the next week.
