Jaguars Face Ravens as Trevor Lawrence Fuels AFC Hopes

Hey, kind of a big game tonight for the Jaguars, right? But the Ravens, now, you know, I want to do this here, and I want to be respectful here, so I got to make sure that I don't screw this kid's name up. So I'm just going to call him Joey F, okay? How do you actually pronounce your name, the new starting quarterback for the Ravens? I think just kind of start with the basics. Could you do a pronunciation of your last name for the folks who don't know? Finiano. Finiano. Next. Next. Finiano, I'm just going to stick with Joey F, okay? Because of my, you know, reputation, I don't want to get anything screwed up here. So, again, Joey F, what's it like to be named the starting quarterback for the Ravens? Special. It's really the only way I can think about it. You know, you work a lot. A lot to get into this position. It's unfortunate to see what happened to Lamar and Snoop, especially being two guys that I look up to since coming to the organization with the Ravens have helped me out a ton. So that part's tough, but, you know, I've had talks with them and, you know, it's truly, you know, next man up mentality. And my job now is just to, you know, play the best of my ability. Hey, Joey, lose the mustache. It's not a good look, all right? John Harbaugh, the head coach, man, talking again about the big game tonight. I'll just say this, man. There's no... Testimony without a test. Adversity happens and it really shows, it reveals things about people. And so I think, I'm excited about our team. I'm excited about the chance to play these guys on Thursday. And then obviously you get a little bit of a break after that, which will help but the timing of it for us is good. But we're excited to play against these guys on Thursday. Put our best guys out there that are healthy and ready to play and shoot our shot and see what happens. Yeah, I don't know who he's playing quarterback for you, Joey F, but we'll see what happens tonight. And Liam Cohn, though, is concerned about tonight's ballgame because of all the injuries on the football team. Yeah, yeah, I mean, it definitely is. Like, you lose, there's no doubt you got, you know, you lose the ham, Eric. Tootin' gets hurt, right? Trayvon gets hurt like you got four starters get hurt in one game. And so how do you supplement that? Well, it's through the building. It's through the entire group. It's not just, all right, the defensive captains or the offensive captains that need to feel the weight of that. It's the entire building. It's every single one of us, players, coaches, and staff included, to help pick that up. There's no question, one of the things that I will say about Liam Cohen, since he came over from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as their O.C. Has been the fact that this guy has absolutely changed the landscape and the trajectory of Trevor Lawrence. This dude here is absolutely playing MVP football. And remember, he was one of the highest recruited kids in the entire country when he was in high school before he went to Clemson. And now you're seeing again, this kid start get his feet solid ground here and starting to see a football player that's starting to look like the guy everybody thought when he came out of college and he came out of Clemson. I think this... Jaguar team has an opportunity to get all the way to the AFC championship game, especially the way that they're playing defense on that side of the ball.
