Welcome back, family, friends, colleagues, still.
Trying to wrap their heads around this week's shooting
at the Citibank campus in Brandon.
The woman shot and killed in the attack has
been identified as Leanne Selman.
Loved ones are remembering her as a ray of light
and an accomplished dancer.
Kelly has been covering the attack all week long.
I know you just spoke with a close friend.
I cannot imagine what they're going through.
It's absolutely tragic and so difficult for them to process right now.
LeeAnn Selman, though, she's being remembered right now by friends
and colleagues as being incredibly kind.
Funny and full of energy and we know that she worked at Citibank
for nearly nine years as a member of a human resources team.
But outside of work, she was a talented dancer
who performed all across the Bay Area and those who knew
her best are struggling right now to understand how she became.
The lone victim in an attack that she had nothing to do with.
Now, I spoke with one of her friends
in the dance community this morning
who tells me that LeeAnn deserves to be remembered
for the light that she brought to this world,
not the cruel way that her life ended.
Leanne's passion was definitely fire dancing and performance art,
and she was highly creative
and very kind.
I mean, I can tell you whenever we had events booked,
I mean, she was gonna show up on time,
do a fantastic job.
She was one of those people I never had
to worry about from a work setting, but then
also just on a personal level, just a very kind-hearted soul.
Abby tells me that her dance troupe is going to be paying her a tribute
this Saturday at an event in St. Pete called Tribal Burn.
Leanne was supposed to be among the performers.
So sad. All right, Kelly, thank you.
