We are going to be seeing that more unsettled weather pattern,
area of low pressure is kind of lingering, a stationary front overhead.
That's why we've been seeing the rain today.
But I am expecting it to clear out, though,
as we head towards the next few hours.
And then we're going to be seeing some breaks
in those clouds overnight and into tomorrow.
And we're going to continue to move away for your Saturday.
A few showers possible to the north,
but really not a bad weekend forecast ahead of us.
That is some good news if you have any weekend plans.
So the rain is pretty much moving out for the weekend.
Okay, all right.
We're not talking about a nor'easter like we were before.
Oh, my gosh.
We're talking about improving conditions, especially, that's Sunday.
I mean, beautiful.
Wow.
Okay, so do we have that seven-day forecast?
Yeah, we'll let up for you.
We are going to be seeing, again,
improvement as we go later into the weekend.
Showers to the north come tomorrow.
Temperature-wise, I don't feel like this is all that bad, though.
I mean, our normal this time of year would be around 58 degrees.
I just checked in the database, National Weather Service, on that.
Okay.
You know, we're right about there a couple of days, Monday, 59 degrees.
But look at Tuesday, 65 and sunny.
Wow.
We've just been real.
Wow.
I got to tell you, we are getting really spoiled.
We are.
And what's going to happen here is when we do get hit
with that frigid weather, and you know it's going to happen.
Yeah.
It is going to be brutal.
Because our bodies have acclimated to the warmer temperatures,
and then you start to get used to that.
And then it's like hitting, ooh, somebody hitting you over
the head with a hammer when it gets really cold.
I think you should focus on this.
I'm savoring it, but I'm thinking ahead as well.
I'm being practical. I'm looking ahead
and I work outside. So I'm always thinking about,
I think, I think and talk about the weather
all the time. That's good. You should,
you should come be a part of the weather team.
We would love to have you. You know what? I actually did the weather.
Early on in my career, yes, yes, I worked out in Missouri,
and I was the weekend weather woman.
Did you like it?
I loved it. I absolutely loved it.
I knew nothing about the weather. I didn't know how to read maps,
but there was this amazing meteorologist.
He was the primary, you know, meteorologist Monday
through Friday. Wonderful man.
Taught me everything that I needed to know in order
to do it on a weekend, and this was in Tornado Alley.
It was in Springfield, Missouri, so we
We had some really
Crazy weather.
That's a fun place to do weather.
It was a lot of fun because we had a lot of snow that year,
which was not typical.
There were several tornadoes, which are typical.
We used to go out and chase the tornadoes, actually.
We were tornado chasers for the news.
And then the heat during the summer, it got up to like they had this.
unseasonable heat wave that summer
and I remember going live from like carnivals and parades and
things and it would be like 110 degrees outside
and my makeup was melting down my face but I
enjoyed it it was what it was a wonderful thing yeah
so I have a great appreciation
for what you experts really do thank you you know likewise you know
Thanks. So it looks good for the weekend. Bottom line.
It doesn't look bad at all. I mean,
mid to upper 60s, above average temperatures,
seeing more sunshine, though, on Sunday rather than Saturday.
So which day better? You're looking at Sunday.
Looking at Sunday. OK. All right, Lauren, thanks so much.
