The transfer window officially opens in 5 days and Arsenal are set to be busy.
Having been in long conversations with Man City's Gabi Jesus,
let's get the latest on his proposed move to the Emirates.
What do Sky in Germany have to say on Serge Gnabry?
Have the Gunners made an offer for Gianluca Scamacca?
And what's William Saliba set to announce to the world tomorrow?
Yo, what is going on guys, my name is Babs14 and welcome back to your boy's channel.
I hope you guys are doing amazing and as always,
don't forget to smash a like on the video if you enjoy and subscribe if you are new.
We're closing into 90k, less than 2,000 away.
Oh boy, you guys are absolute legends.
But let's get into that Arsenal transfer news and let's start off with the pursuit of the forwards.
Arsenal are in need of goal scorers and now officially have their number 9 shirt vacant.
As after 5 years at the Emirates,
Alexandre Lacazette has officially confirmed his departure from Arsenal Football Club.
The player says, I want to say thank you.
A big thank you because there was a lot of expectation from me when I signed.
The welcome was amazing for me. Thank you for the song as well.
I never talked about it but it really touched me a lot and a big thank you for everything.
Alexandre Lacazette departs Arsenal and there is still quite a bit of confusion of
whether his time at Arsenal was worth it or was it a massive flop.
Now there have been glimpses of a top top player and in 2018-19 under Unai Emery,
he was the Arsenal player of the year so he's had his moments.
But ultimately for the price tag and the expectation and the hype,
there is quite a lot of understandable disappointment.
What I want you guys to do is to go down into the comments
and rate Alexandre Lacazette's Arsenal career out of 10.
With Lacazette leaving the Arsenal number 9 shirt officially vacant,
Arsenal now have their eyes set on Man City's number 9 in Mr Gabi Jesus.
As according to Mark Owen he says even though Arsenal missed out on Champions League football,
Gabriel Jesus is still interested in a potential move.
He has also had a successful relationship with Mikel Arteta as Guardiola's assistant,
yet Manchester City would demand around £50 million before they talk business.
For a player that has one year left on his contract,
£50 million is a massive massive price tag but I think that's gonna be
including add-ons and I think the overall price tag will be closer to £40 million.
And I guess at that price tag for what you're getting in experience in the Premier League,
working under Pep Guardiola and having worked under Mikel Arteta,
ultimately a very versatile attacker that would definitely strengthen the Arsenal frontline,
I think £40 million is a lot more understandable.
But on top of the price tag, let's just say the wages are also gonna be pretty hefty.
As Owen claims in the same report that Jesus is under the radar of clubs in Spain and Italy,
but it's Arsenal that are understood to be offering better terms.
A major increase on his £110,000 a week salary at Manchester City.
So the Gunners have put forward their official contract proposal and they're going massive.
Nearly £200,000 a week for Gabi Jesus.
I think there are still quite a few doubts over the Arsenal fanbase of
whether he is that goal scoring striker, that number 9 that can come to the Emirates,
improve on Lacazette, score around 20-15 goals a season
and provide Arsenal with a reliable consistent goal scorer.
But he's also playing for Manchester City, the best team in the Premier League,
winning league titles, winning trophies,
working under one of the best managers of all time, Pep Guardiola.
For any player to be tempted to leave that calibre of club
without the added law of the Champions League,
Arsenal are always gonna have to go above and beyond.
But now that you guys have heard the price tag of the wages and the transfer fee itself,
let me know your honest thoughts and do you think the Gunners are getting a transfer
that is value for money?
But keeping it on the strikers, let's go to Italy and let's talk Gianluca Scamacca.
As according to Italian Sorts Repubblica, Arsenal insist on Scamacca.
Arteta has had the player in sights for months and contacts with Sassuolo have become frantic.
Arsenal are ready to invest 35 million euros, Sassuolo ask for 50 million euros
and the negotiations in the next few days will enter the hot phase.
The physical profile, the technical profile, the ball striking,
tick after tick after tick, there's so many things to like about Gianluca Scamacca
and so many reasons to why Arsenal should sign his player.
Ultimately that ability to strike a ball cleanly seems to be his superpower and you know,
it's a bit similar to what you have in Tottenham and Harry Kane, Dusan Vladek at Juventus.
These strikers that can hit a ball cleanly often score so many goals
because no matter what the angle is, these guys have this innate ability
to strike a ball like no one else can.
But the massive obstacle in Arsenal's way is the fact that Italian players,
as we've seen in the past, don't like to leave this area.
Last year, Arsenal wanted a player from Sassuolo that was Italian and that was Manuel Locatelli.
They put forward a decent proposal and the offer was even accepted.
The player instead chose Juventus and chose to stay in the Serie A.
But in the case of Gianluca Scamacca, if you look around their giant teams around Italy,
Napoli have got Viktor Osman, Juve have Dusan Vladek,
Inter have Lotario Martinez and Roma have Tamia Abraham.
Realistically speaking, if Scamacca is going to stay in the Serie A,
all the other Serie A giants have their strikers sorted out.
Therefore, I'm not trying to give Arsenal fans any hope here,
but maybe, just maybe, it might just be third time lucky for Arsenal Football Club.
Moving on though, let's get an update on Mr Serge Gnabry.
For many Arsenal fans, this would be their dream signing for the transfer window.
That statement signing to the rest of the Premier League,
to sign a world class player in the peak of his powers with that Champions League,
it would be a level raising signing.
But right now it is still just a dream and I myself am kind of sceptical,
but there have been some further developments.
As Bildu reported that Serge Gnabry has rejected Bayern Munich's
latest contract offer of 19 million euros a year.
The German club are not willing to go any higher and do not plan any further talks.
A no from Serge Gnabry of 19 million euros a year,
he wants more money, he wants more value and Bayern just aren't going to offer him that.
And even according to the Bayern president, when asked on Gnabry's future he says,
we've been in talks with Serge for a long time,
unfortunately we haven't reached an agreement yet.
There are different expectations but we are working on it.
Bayern are a very smart club and they're very stern with how they negotiate with the players.
They are a tightly operated club that understands principles.
With just one year left on his contract,
if he's not extending then Bayern Munich will say see you later and they will set a price tag.
And so according to Sky in Germany,
they claim that an agreement between Bayern Munich and Serge Gnabry is currently unlikely
and not in sight.
However, it's still possible.
Bayern Munich may look to sell Gnabry for around 40 million euros this summer,
with interest from Arsenal and Real Madrid.
But there are no offers as of now.
Price tag at 35 million pounds, wages that Arsenal can pay,
I mean there's so many ways to look at it and go hey Arsenal could make this happen.
And even according to Ryan Taylor's sport of the express,
he claims that Gnabry is branded as a realistic possibility for the Gunners.
First it was Christian Falk and Bild, then it was Sky in Germany
and now you have Ryan Taylor in the UK and Arsenal journalist.
It seems like Arsenal have confirmed interests
and with finances that aren't available, most transfers are always a possibility.
But in this case my friends, I'm still very sceptical because
it just seems like something that's too good to be true.
And when you're fighting against the European champions like Real Madrid,
no matter how gargantuan I think we are, I just don't think we have a realistic chance.
I don't want to break your heart and give you any false hopes,
so for me, still as it stands, I'm on the fence and I think it's unlikely,
but you just never know with transfers.
Moving on to the Arsenal plan for the full backs.
We've talked about strikers, we've talked about midfielders,
but in the second half of last season, in the absence of Takehiro Tomiasu and Kieran Tierney,
Arsenal had to rely upon both Cedric Suarez and Nuno Tavares to get us into the Champions League
and unfortunately they just weren't able to get us over the line.
And so with that kept in mind, let's start off with the future of Nuno Tavares.
As according to the Gunner blog of The Athletic,
Arsenal are considering to send Nuno Tavares on loan so he can continue developing.
At 21 years of age, you never want to write off a player and I think with the raw ability
that Tavares has physically and technically, I do think there is a player somewhere deep there,
but I think whether it's the lack of concentration or more likely experience,
I just don't think Mkhitaryan fully trusts Nuno Tavares and it was shown
in the second half of last season.
After Tierney's injury, he was our only actual left back, but despite him being fit and available,
Niko Arteta tried Zakari left back, Sakurai left back and even a half fit
returning Takehiro Tomiasu over Nuno Tavares, but he's still certainly got time on his side,
so I think a loan possibility where he can play more first team regular minutes,
gain some vital experience and become a far better rounded player,
it might just be the best possible move for the future of Nuno Tavares.
But with Tavares likely leaving on loan,
Arsenal will still have to sign a brand new left back, and that player might just be Aaron Hickey.
But on the player, according to Corrie de la Sport,
Brentford have officially sent an 11 million euro offer plus bonuses to Bologna for Aaron Hickey.
Arsenal sources claim that the Gunners will send a package worth around 25 million euros very soon.
The price tag we talked about, the profile, the age, the player,
he's ambidextrous, fives to weak foot, I do think that Aaron Hickey would be a smart signing.
But Mkhitaryan has made it very clear that he wants to add experience to this Arsenal first team,
and at 19 years of age, Aaron Hickey still has mistakes and is still pretty rude.
You then look at what's happening at Man City as they close into the signing of Mark Kukurela,
in turn that does make a certain Oleksandr Zinchenko available,
a player that would give Arsenal that experience of being a top Premier League team,
has the versatility and also wouldn't be overly expensive.
So I guess this calls for a cheeky little debate, so,
if you were in charge of the Arsenal transfers,
would you sign the younger left back in Aaron Hickey,
or the vastly more Premier League experienced Oleksandr Zinchenko?
But from left back to right back, what about the future of Hector Bellerin?
According to Estadio Deportivo in Spain,
Bellerin has asked Arsenal to terminate his contract so he can join Real Betis on a free
transfer, and has even agreed to take a huge pay cut to play for the Spanish side.
Look, I understand the player's desire, he's had a pretty successful loan spell in
and I just thought that Bellerin is a part of Arsenal's future plans,
so it makes sense for him to leave Arsenal, but what I am sick and tired of,
is this termination FC, we are not the terminators here,
we did it with Sead Kalashnik, Mustafi, Willian, Aubameyang,
players that have contracts at Arsenal Football Club and yes might not have
the most market value, but they still hold some level of value yet Arsenal
turn into terminators, terminate their contracts and make no money whatsoever.
In Bellerin's case, I understand the player's desire, but Edu Gasper is not the terminator,
so in this case Edu, let's get negotiating and let's secure a cheeky little transfer fee.
Moving on to the other Arsenal news today and starting off with one of our star boys,
the Arsenal number 10 that has excelled on international duties.
As Will Smith-Rowe played for the England under-21s, scored a goal against the Czech
Republic and was given the official player of the match award.
Alongside following Balligan, ESR scored a goal, he put in a blastic,
he won the man of the match award and it's things you love to see, but of course ultimately,
the goal is to be a part of the main England team, the men's national team.
Look, it's not the end of the world by any means, but I think going into next season,
as Arteta fully transitions into that full 3-3, my question to you guys is what do you
guys really think is Smith-Rowe's best position? Is he better at wide as a winger,
or maybe has a future as an interior and a number 8?
According to a report in Tunisia, Arsenal defender Omar Rekic will be loaned out
this season, with the move to be finalised in the coming days.
Rekic is aiming to get a place in the Tunisian national team.
Omar Rekic is one of the many Arsenal youngsters that are so highly rated,
signed back in 2020 during the transfer of Matteo Guendouzi.
With William Saliba returning, you've got Ben White, you've got Gabriel,
I don't think Rekic is just ready for the first team as it stands.
Therefore, it makes a lot of sense for Arsenal to loan out the youngster.
But when you're talking about Arsenal centre backs out on loan,
there's one individual that stands out straight away,
and that of course is the reigning Ligue 1 young player of the year,
in the Ligue 1 team in the season, a brand new French international,
and brandished, the Mbappe centre backs.
Enough of hype man baths, we're talking William Saliba.
The Arsenal manager Artea has recently made it very clear he wants Saliba to return,
but in terms of the player, now he's in the France squad,
playing first team minutes and in the Champions League,
he's still yet to rule out a stay at Marseille.
But it looks like tomorrow is going to be the day,
the day where hopefully all these rumours get put to bed.
As according to Julian Maynard of Telefoot,
William Saliba will talk about his future tomorrow
in an interview with Telefoot at 10am UK time.
Unleashing his inner Lebron James, the decision 2.0,
it's a chance to put all of the rumours to bed,
and a chance to give Arsenal fans more answers than we have questions.
To commit his long term future to Arsenal Football Club,
to thank Marseille and to come back to the Emirates stadium
where Edu and Nick Artea see Saliba as a massive part
for the present and the future of Arsenal Football Club.
Regardless of whatever he says though, it's going to be massive,
there's going to be so many talking points.
Give me some cheeky little predictions,
what do you guys believe that William Saliba is going to do with his future?
Hope you guys have been informed and whether it's Serge Gnabry, Gabriel Jesus,
William Saliba or Uri Tielemans, all 4 now need to get active,
hopefully they will do and I will see you guys next time,
take care of yourselves and God bless.
