BUSINESS CASUAL TRY-ON HAUL + OUTFIT IDEAS | Shannon Sullivan

Hi guys! Welcome back to my channel. Today, I wanted to sit down and film a try-on haul video for you guys. I recently picked up some business casual looks, some wardrobe staples, and I thought that it would be a good idea to show you how I plan to style these, how I'm going to wear them, and just give you some ideas of things that you can wear to the office, when you're at work, when you want to look a little bit more professional. But these can also be carried over into night as well. So I am a big believer in having a lot of wardrobe staples that you can mix and match. If you've watched my videos before, you know that that's the way that I typically shop. So I'll stick within a color palette, and then I purchase items that I can layer or that will carry me over throughout each season. So that's what I had in mind when doing this shopping. I'm trying to condense my closet right now. We are getting ready to move, and I've been going through a lot of things, and I just realized that I needed to replace a lot of my wardrobe basics. But yeah, let's go ahead and begin. The first thing is from Nordstrom. I got this during the Nordstrom anniversary sale, and it wasn't here in time for me to do my haul video. So I wanted to share it with you guys. It's this Vince Camuto Smocked Blouse. So it has this smocking along the top and on the sleeves, which have a tie. I just think it looks really elegant and nice. I can see myself pairing this with a vest when it gets colder outside. You could wear it under a blazer. You can wear it with a skirt. You can also dress it down with jeans. It comes in five different colors. So I believe that they had ivory, and black, and red, and a few more colors as well. So it's just a really great versatile blouse to have in your wardrobe. Okay, so here is what the Vince Camuto blouse looks like. I would definitely wear my hair up with this, because there's a lot going on at the neck. So it's one of those tops that you can wear with your hair back, or you can wear it down, whatever you prefer. I paired this with these page denim jeans, and I have these ready to return. I got these as part of the Nordstrom sale, and I just don't like the length of them. Normally, I would get these altered, so I cuffed it under on this side, and then I left it undone so you guys could see how long it is. But if I got these tailored, they wouldn't be as tight around my ankles as I prefer. They're a little bit loose, because it's a stretch material, and I don't know. I just don't think that ... I don't like it. I like page denim, but these just didn't work for me, this particular style. But I will still link them down below if you're interested and you're not too short like me. I like to shop at Ann Taylor for business casual looks, and I stopped by the Ann Taylor factory at the outlet store recently and picked up a couple of pairs of dress pants. So the first pair is the modern. This is the slim leg. So these are just a really nice, straight pant that hit right at my ankles. So they have petite, and they have regular sizes, which you guys know that I appreciate. But I loved the color of these. I think I can wear these into the winter. It's just this really nice, light gray, and I felt that it would pair nicely with some of the new blouses that I picked up. So here are what those pants look like, and they hit right here on my ankles. So they're a good length. If you're short, these are the petite. But like I said, I'll link both down below. I just think this is a great color. It's a really good neutral, really great basic to have. These have pockets. They just have seams that need to be cut, but yeah, I really like the color. I really like the fit of these. And then I also got this pair, which these are a little more spring and summer. I feel like I have a few more months here where I can get away with wearing these. These are the Signature Cropped Legs. So they do have a crop, and I love the blue and white stripe. You guys know I love blue and white. And I like the fabric. They just feel really nice. They kind of have that little bit of texture to the fabric. So here's what the ankle pants look like. So they're a little shorter than the other pair, but they're very comfortable. I will say that these are a bit tighter because of the fabric than the other ones. So you might want to size up a size in these because they don't have as much of a stretch. So they are a little bit snug. They're a mid-rise. They're not too low or too high. And they don't have pockets. So just keep that in mind. They only have the small pockets up here. So I guess they do have pockets, but not the kind that you can put your hand in. I picked up a couple of new things from Mango. They were having a sale, and I fell in love with this blouse. And I have a lot of white blouses, but they're something that I like to wear a lot with jeans, especially when it gets into the fall because they're lightweight. They're great for layering, and I loved the neckline on this one. It kind of has this folding detail. You can't really tell when it's off, but I just thought it was really unique. It has this black piping all the way down the sleeve, which just makes it look really sharp. And it has the piping carried onto the cuff as well with a little button detail. It's just a really cool blouse. I think it'll look great with black jeans and heels. Okay, so here's what the blouse looks like. I love how streamlined this neckline, hope this little string's hanging out, but the neckline and then this fold over here just makes it look very streamlined and elongating. And then the piping on the sleeves. And I just paired it with some black jeans and these pumps that are my favorite. I've had them for a while. I don't know if I can still find them. I'll link them down below for you guys, of course. I found a tweed blazer. I love wearing these in the fall. And this color was so pretty. This was on a really good sale. I think it was $39.99. And it's really nice. It's not too heavy, but it will definitely keep you warm. It can be dressed up or down. You can wear it with jeans. It goes with every color. You can wear a lot of different types of camis or blouses underneath. And just a really great staple. So here's what the tweed jacket looks like. So it doesn't have a closure or anything, so you just leave it open. And then I just paired it with these dark wash denim. Some Valentino Rockstead dupes. These are not the real thing. These are actually really amazing dupes. So if you guys want me to do or talk about these in a video, let me know. But yeah, I just think that this looks really polished. I feel like every wardrobe needs a good tweed blazer or a tweed jacket. I think it would be really pretty around the holiday season to pair it with a gold brooch here to dress it up a little bit. Maybe wear it over a dress. I love getting wardrobe staples. So things that I know I can wear season after season. They're not going to really go out of style. They're not super trendy. So I invest in pieces like that. And Reese is one of my all-time favorite brands when it comes to wardrobe staples. They have a beautiful display here at the Bloomingdales. But if you go online, sometimes you can find things that are on sale that you can't find in store. And that is what I did the other day. And I got some really great basics. So the first thing is this tank. So this is a 100% silk top that you can wear under jackets. You can wear it with cardigans. You can wear it on its own. And I love the neckline. It's not super plunging. It is a deeper V. But it's not going to be too inappropriate to wear to work. And I love that it has this pleating in the back. I believe that this came in a couple of colors. So I'll link it down below for you guys so you can find it. Hopefully, they still have it in stock because it's a really great sale that they're having right now. So here's what this silk tank looks like. It definitely needs to be steamed. If I don't have it tucked in, here's how long it is. But it's such a nice fabric. It's very comfortable. I picked up this tank, too. I thought that this was a good basic to have in my wardrobe. I love the delicate lace edging. I like how the lace goes all the way down the side here. I was afraid that it wasn't going to look right with a bra, or I was afraid it was going to show too much. But it actually doesn't when I put it on. It looks really nice. And I love the fabric of this one, too. It's really flowy. It's cool. It's breathable. This top is absolutely stunning. I love the neckline, the lace detail, the panel here on the side. It's very unique. And it's gorgeous. I'm definitely going to get a lot of wear out of this one. This blouse I fell in love with because I love anything that has an embroidery detail or any type of ornate type of design woven into the fabric. And this has these little white flowers all over it. I think it's even prettier in person than it was on the website. And the sleeve detail is gorgeous. It has this really ornate threading on the sleeve. It's a gorgeous top. And this is a good top that you can wear with shorts to kind of dress it up a little bit. I'm always the type of person to overdress rather than underdress, is just how I've been my whole life. I used to get made fun of all the time when I was in high school because people would say that I dressed up too much. But I just enjoy dressing. And one time I went out on a date with a guy. And he told me he was embarrassed because of the way that I was dressed, which, yeah, that was our last date. But anyways, it's just a really pretty detail on this top. And I like this color. It goes with pretty much anything. I can wear it with different color pants, with jeans, with shorts. And it's just a great basic. I really like this top a lot. It fits well. It is a little tighter around the waist here. But it kind of makes it so it blouses out without the need to tuck it in, which is nice. The sleeves are just gorgeous. I love this detail, like I said. This is a piece I think you could wear with a lot. It would look beautiful with a pencil skirt or even with an A-line skirt. That would be pretty, too. These are still some of my favorite pants. By the way, I showed these in my Nordstrom haul. And I have been wearing them a ton. I also got this blouse. So you guys know how much I love anything that has a scallop detail. And I just thought that this was absolutely gorgeous. I actually had my eye on this before it went on sale. But then when I saw that it was on sale, I had to go ahead and grab it. I love this top so much. The scallop detail is gorgeous. And I just paired it with these paperback pants. I showed these in my favorites video. They're a little stretched out right now because I've been wearing them. They're dirty. I need to wash them. And I put these shoes on because I felt that that would kind of dress it up a little bit. But I love this top so much. It's very breathable, very, very comfortable. You could wear this with shorts. Super versatile and very nice quality. This one I wasn't too sure about. And I was gonna wait and see how it fit when I got it. But I actually really like it. I'm trying to see. I don't remember how much it was. I'll link everything like I said. But it's a slouchy V-neck top. But it has this silk insert on the front. So you can't really tell on camera. And I couldn't tell in the photo on the website. But the entire front of this is silk and the sleeves. So it's just a nice lightweight top that you can dress up or down. So I wanted to pair this with some denim shorts so that we could see what it would look like. Obviously I know you can't wear this to work. Or maybe you can. But it's a little bit more of a casual look. I just put these booties on with it. But this, I wish you could feel the fabric of this because this is silk. And then on the back you have this cotton fabric that has a little bit of a sheen to it. But it's typical Reese. Very, very nice fabric. It moves and breathes really nicely.
