SPRING CLOTHING TRY ON HAUL

Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel. Today I wanted to film a spring clothing haul for you guys and I was trying to figure out how to do this because I want to put the outfits on or put how I would wear each item on. So I'm going to do that kind of vlog style in the mirror and show you that after I go through everything. So hopefully you'll find this helpful. I wanted to do some shopping just to get some more spring clothes. I noticed last year I had a lot of casual items but I didn't really have anything that I could dress up for the daytime. So I wanted to pick up a few new things and a couple of things that I've had my eye on for a while. And Matt and I are also going to LA later this week so I wanted to pick up a few new things for that. We're going with EcoTools. I talked about it in my last vlog video and I cannot wait. It's our first time going to California so we're both really excited. But yeah, I guess I will go ahead and get started first with what I got from Zara. So I'm always on the lookout for a good denim jacket that fits me. Not too boxy and this one isn't really that fitted but it for some reason didn't fit me too oversized like a lot of them do. It's not really a boyfriend style and it has an undone hem on the sleeves and along the bottom which I thought made it a little bit unique and I like the color of it. It's kind of a smoky denim. It's not a super acid wash. It's not too light blue. It's just a really good in-between denim color that I thought would go with a lot of different things. I like to wear denim jackets in the spring. So here's what the denim jacket looks like. You see how it kind of just hits at my waist at a good spot. I just like where it hits at. It's a little higher than other ones that I've tried on that are a little more boxy and for that reason it just makes it seem, I don't know, it just fits, it makes it seem a little more slimming with the way that, where it hits at. Other ones that I have are a little longer but I love the look of it. I love the unfinished hem on the sleeve and on the bottom and the distressing but I also really like the color. I think it looks great with like brighter colors like this. I also picked up a pair of shorts. I wasn't really planning to get anything like this but I saw these and I really liked the shape. They're high-waisted and I like to wear high-waisted shorts. I just find them to be a little bit more flattering on me and they have this little ruffle on the bottom. It's just a little, it's a very slight ruffle detail but I loved the floral pattern. It reminded me, it's just very Florida and the colors can go with a lot of different things. So I could wear it with a lot of different tops. So here's what those shorts look like and I just put them on with a bodysuit and I put my denim jacket over it. I love the ruffle on the bottom of the shorts. I just think it makes them look really flattering and yeah, they're just a really fun print, cute print for Florida and probably a little bit more summer appropriate but I can get away with it here in Florida. I saw these shoes and I immediately had to get these. These are just a pair of basic mules. They're in this kind of tan color so they'll go with pretty much anything. I can wear them with shorts, with pants, with cropped pants, with dresses. They'll go with so much and I love the lucite heel detail. It just looks really unique and it kind of makes them stand out. I picked up a couple of things from Nordstrom Rack. I went mainly to find jeans. I knew I wanted to get a pair of white jeans to wear and I found these from Vince. I tried on a lot of different pairs and these fit the best and they were the thickest that I could find. I tried on a few other pairs like I tried on a page denim which I typically like page jeans but they were very see through. So I put these on with two different pairs of shoes so you can get an idea of what they look like with both. But I do have to cuff the bottoms like this because they are too long. I wish I had enough time to get them tailored but I don't. But the denim is very, very thick so they hold you in. I like where they hit on the waist. They're a little higher waisted and you can't see through them even with this bright coral top on. You still can't see through which is really important when you're getting white denim because a lot of times if you don't find a good pair they're see through which is never a good look. And I also picked up this ball cap. I liked the color of it. I thought it was very spring appropriate and I like to wear these when we go just casual days when we go to the parks or when we're just going around town. I saw this on clearance. I think it was $10. It's from Topshop. I've wanted a pair of these for a while and I finally found a pair that fit. I got these from Bloomingdale's. These were not on sale but I looked at them as an investment piece because I live in denim shorts. Right now I've already started to wear shorts so I know that I'm going to get a lot of use out of these and I love the fit. It's been hard for me to find a pair of these that fit well but this is the wedgie short high rise and I love the wash. They're really light acid wash with distressing on both sides and then they also have these distressed pockets on the back. I love that they're high waisted so they fit at a really flattering place on my waist and I can wear these with pretty much everything. Here are the Levi's shorts and you can see they go pretty high up but I like these to wear with crop tops so then you don't have to worry about your stomach showing. I just paired it with the top that I had on and tugged my necklace inside because it didn't really match because these are more casual. Then I put it on with my Adidas tennis shoes but these are super super comfortable. I probably should have took this tag off so you guys could get a better idea but here's what they look like from the back. Moving on to what I got from the Prime Outlets over the weekend for President's Day for the President's Day sales. I went to Ann Taylor. They were having amazing sales there. It was hard for me not to go crazy but I just got a few things. I picked up this tank top that's a really nice kind of sheer blouse material and I love the polka dots and what I really like about it is this accordion detail on the bottom so I'll show you how I plan on styling this. Okay so here is the Ann Taylor tank top and I thought that this looks really cute with these white jeans and my C by Chloe wedges that Matt got me for my birthday. They are my favorite because they make me really tall and they're very comfortable but I thought that this would be really cute for a daytime look and then if I wanted to dress it up for night I could switch to some nude pumps and then put on a blazer or a nice jacket and it would be nighttime appropriate but I like how it's a very forgiving shirt so it's good to wear on days when I'm just kind of wanting to be a little bit more slouchy and but still look dressed up. They were having a sale on their camis. I'm not going to try these on just because they're basic camis and you guys know what those fit like but they were buy one get two for free and I think these were $32.99 but I believe that they were marked down even further than that so I only bought one and then I got two for free so I just got a plain white one you can never have enough of these and then both of these lace that I thought would look pretty with shorts for the summer. I also went to Gap and they were having a massive sale. Everything that was marked down was additionally, was an additional 50% off. They have a lot of really cute stuff right now for spring. I found these eyelet lace shorts that are a little bit too big but I think I can get away with it just because I love the way that they look and these are their three inch shorts. So I put these shorts with a studded belt because I liked the play of kind of the edginess of the studs on the belt with the delicate fabric of the shorts and then I just put this blouse on with it. I found this cotton dress. I love wearing dresses and this is super super comfortable. This fabric is really nice and soft and it's in this really pretty rose pink color. It's just a short sleeve dress. I thought that it would look nice with a belt so I'll show you how I plan on wearing this. So here's what the dress looks like and I just have it on with the mules from Zara and I put this belt on with it just to kind of cinch it in at the waist a little bit more. But I don't know, it's just a really comfortable dress. The fabric is really soft and it moves really well. It does have this seam here so I just covered the seam with the belt and looped the belt through. So I would wear this denim jacket with this dress. I would also do this blouse with the dress and either put the belt over both the blouse and the dress or tie the blouse around the dress kind of just to make it cinch the waist in more. I think it would be cute that way too. I am always on the need, on the need, I'm always on the hunt for a good cardigan sweater that I can wear indoors because a lot of places because it's so hot here they crank up the air and the air conditioning and it's freezing cold inside. So I like to constantly carry a sweater with me everywhere I go and I love the texture of this one. I got a couple of blouses to wear. These are casual blouse tops to wear during the day. This is in this blue and white stripe. I love wearing blue and white in the spring and summer and it's really comfortable and soft. The blouse is a little bit wide for me but I think I could get away with it. I just need to mess around with it and it definitely needs steaming but I love the blue and white and it's just a really nice lightweight fabric. And then I got this one that has a rose and like a darker, kind of like a burgundy color stitching on it in this little detail. Here's what the blouse looks like. I love that it's just a very breathable fabric. And another thing that I wanted to tell you guys is that I like to stay within color palettes. So when I'm shopping for a certain season, I always try to stick to purchasing things within the same palette. Patterns tend to be more memorable so I try to stick with just simple patterns like this instead of really busy floral type of patterns because they're more memorable so you won't really get as much wear out of them. So I try to just keep it basic, stick with a color palette and do different pieces that I can mix and match. So that's everything. I hope that you guys enjoyed this video.
