Okaloosa Island. We're going to go check out this pavilion and see if we can see the ocean
from there because we can't get to the beach with the pepperoni. Look at this view.
A solar tree. What does this do? A little charging station? Huh. What you looking at? I know.
It is a pretty warm morning here in Florida. It's been in the 50s, sometimes the 40s,
and this morning it's in the 60s. So pretty warm, very humid, but it's a beautiful morning here.
We're gonna miss the sunrise. We almost left, but look at this. Here we go. Hold on.
It's so pretty. Here it comes. She's smelling all the smells.
Of which there are many new ones. I can't believe we almost skipped the sunrise. That would have
been... where are you going? Not with me. That would have been a mistake because now that we
have our morning started off right, we can head to the coffee shop, get some work done,
and come back out here and play. Go slow. These are slick. I grew up in the Midwest. You'd think
that I would be used to humidity, but I am not. I still struggle with that feeling of
sticky. I don't like it, but in the pursuit of beautiful places, we endure. It's really not
that hard. It's just an inconvenience at most. Where's my phone? I'm in this car. I lost my phone.
I have an idea of where it's at because I remember setting it down, and thankfully there haven't been
too many people here, and they all seem like quality people who wouldn't steal my phone, so
let's go find this thing. We took the shortcut since we don't have the doggo.
Thank goodness for the Garmin app. And you'd think that this massive fanny pack that I carry
around would have plenty of space in there for my phone, but in true woman fashion, I pack my
fanny pack full of other things so that critical items cannot fit, but it does have Clorox wipes
and doggy bags and chapstick, but I can't fit my phone. I'm gonna try and find a local coffee shop
if I can get this disconnected from my camera wi-fi
because I enjoy trying all of the local places as opposed to Dunkin' or Starbucks, but we will
see what the offerings are. That's our offerings, and I'm thinking lots of donut places around here.
I definitely am not familiar with the donut shops in this area. We're going to Starbucks. I did my
best, but unfortunately there are no coffee shops in this area that are currently open and not a
donut shop, and from what I could tell about the donut shops, they were not really places where you
could sit down. So you see that haze? Oh, reliable. There she is. All right, let us journey. Time for
the best part of the day.
We're now doing a little cool down walk. So that area over there is a dog beach, which I think is
really cool, and they have a bunch of dog parks for small dogs and big dogs and a mix. Well, that's a
bummer. It's dead. It gets a lot of use because I vacuum this at least two times a day, and it still
is covered in dog hair. Whenever I'm in an area, there are a couple things that I try and do. One,
you heard earlier, let's go to the local coffee shops, and the other thing that I try and do now
that I have Zora is find the local dog shops and go see what goodness I can find there. So that's
exactly where we are heading right now. We are going to Three Dogs and a Chick in Fort Walton
Beach. Inevitably, this ends up being expensive every single time. All right, 400 feet on my right,
it must be in this complex over here. Let's go ahead and grab this spot. Three Dogs and a Chick.
I've never seen turkey for dogs.
This is the haul. We got a new bowl because I left mine at home. Zora's helping me out.
Some goat milk for Zora, obviously. A brush for the shedding because she is
shedding like mad right now. And Zora's personal favorite
that she's trying to get into right now, some duck jerky. You want to try it, Moose?
Okay, let's open this. Didn't even smell it. I'd say she approves. If you're in Fort Walton
Beach, Three Dogs and a Chick is the best dog store I've been to yet. I am thoroughly impressed.
Luckiest fishing village, Destin, Florida. Crap, that's some blue water. Wowza.
Right down there to the Destin Boardwalk. Look at these parking areas. You park between the trees
without hitting them. That's the goal at least.
I don't know if I'm gonna be able to get the dog out. We'll have to get creative. Well, let's see
here. Are we gonna make it? Nope. Bummer. We're practiced at this since we just had to do this.
All right, Zora. We're gonna put this back in first. All right, you ready, Moose?
Yes, come here. Yes, good girl. We support all slackers. The Boathouse. We're doing what we do
best, which is wander around, look for interesting things, and get to know the area. It's gonna be
the next road life rig right there. Put a camper on the back of that. Be a heckin' good time.
We have game on and game over. Just hanging out, living life. I know nothing about fishing,
but look how large this reel-looking thing is with a bunch of line on it. It's huge.
That's the only boat out here that I've seen with that much
line. The Aquanut, used in Jaws 2. It's a scuba boat. I would take one of each, please.
Holy crap, that looks expensive. Let's see what these bad boys are running.
2023, call for price. That is never a good sign. $3.99, $3.49, $6.99 for a 2015, $1 million for
2021, $1.5 for that one. You know what? I don't even need one of each. I just need one.
Just pick it out for me. I'll take any of those, honestly. I know I said I wasn't picky, but
the Blind Date is the one I want. Even the dinghies are fancy. Zora's Prey Drive
is in overdrive right now. Look at all those sea chickens.
It's a spicy meatball out there, and the car is also 84 degrees. How am I supposed to live
Laugh Love in these conditions? Which window? Oh, my passenger door is open. I have to get out.
I'll be right back. Okay, now that we have conquered the Dustin Boardwalk, we will continue
south to Panama City Beach. I don't know how many more stops we're going to make, but what I do know
is we need air. I am currently driving through Seaside, Florida, and this place is adorable.
It looks like they have tons of great food options here. It's not too crowded. It is busy,
but it's not too crowded, and it is by far the cutest Florida seaside town,
seaside, no pun intended, that I have seen yet. I would say that we've almost exceeded
the fun meter for this vlog. There's not much more I want to pack in here
before I think you guys would get too sick of me, so I am going to call it at this point.
I'm going to go enjoy some cardio at some point. Zora is enjoying her bone right now.
We together are spending some time in the Panama City Beach
area where we will explore in the next vlog, so stay tuned for all of our adventures here.
It's a gator.
