The 3rd trimester...so far🤰🏼So much has been going on from having our baby shower, going to a Hypnobirthing Australia course, setting up more of the nursery and doing lot's of shopping 🛒 The emotions have been up and down still...these hormones are wild ya'll 😋
Welcome to my third trimester vlog.
How did we get here so fast?
I am currently at 28 weeks.
And this morning I have my blood glucose test
to test for gestational diabetes.
So I've heard it's absolutely disgusting,
but like the drink that you have to drink,
but whatever, it's just a little drink.
We'll see how it goes.
I will be up there for about two hours.
So I'm going to take my AirPods
and watch Real Housewives.
All right, so I'm finished up at the hospital.
Just went and got a bite to eat
because you do have to fast for that test.
It was like overnight anyway,
so all you're missing out on is breakfast.
But anyway, the drink wasn't that bad.
It's kind of like a thick consistency
and it's just super sugary, like really sweet.
The first like half a bottle's fine,
but then after you get like through that,
it's like, okay, this is way too sweet.
But you got five minutes to drink it,
so I kind of just scalded to get it over and done with.
I am just at Chemist Warehouse.
I just want to have a browse, you know?
I'm feeling cute.
I'll show you this dress when I get home.
I got it yesterday from Gander
and I want to go out and about.
I've got energy today for some reason, like.
What's that about?
So this is the dress.
Isn't it adorable?
It's super stretchy
and the length's really good for over my bump as well.
It's not too short.
I can wear a bra, cover the straps,
fits the boobs nicely.
It is so cute.
I went to IKEA yesterday
and picked up a few different organization options
for in my cupboard here.
I decided I'm not going to get a chest of drawers
because it's just going to take up too much room.
And in our cupboards, we've got shelving and hanging,
so I can definitely make it all fit in there.
Speaking of hanging,
look at these adorable coat hangers I got the other day.
One of my girlfriends said she uses them
for her little girl.
Oh my God, they're so cute.
Okay, so these containers here are the scub
and you actually get six in the packet.
So it's got the big ones,
the rectangle and the small square.
More down here.
So they actually fit pretty nicely.
And then I also got the stook,
which isn't as tall,
but I really like the way that that fits.
And I like that it's got the compartments.
I guess once I have more of her stuff,
I can really decide what I like best.
I think they are good options.
Good morning.
I have a midwife appointment today.
This is my first face to face one.
They've all been like over telehealth.
So I'm looking forward to that.
I do have a few questions.
Now that we're getting further along, 29 weeks,
I want to know about water birth.
I've had quite a bit of cramping lately.
I just want to check on that.
And a few other things I've written down,
but I can't remember.
So I've got to write everything down.
All right, I'm home from my midwife appointment.
It was really good.
The midwife was so lovely.
Because I am going public,
I do see a different midwife.
I think this is the third different midwife
I've had an appointment with.
But I think if I continue to go on the same day,
from now on, I'll always get her.
But that doesn't mean she'll be at my birth.
Which is a bummer,
because she was really, really lovely.
I really liked her.
But all is good.
Again, the gestational diabetes come back absolutely fine.
She said my iron is still looking quite low,
like my stores.
She said that's quite normal around this time.
But yeah, I need to get onto some supplements for that.
Baby was measuring good.
Heartbeat was good.
My blood pressure was good.
She had a good feel and her head is down
and she could feel her back.
And we're talking about like where she kicks and stuff.
The cramping I've been experiencing, she said,
is most likely just like stretching and growing pains,
which makes a lot of sense.
She is getting bigger by the day.
And as for water birth, they do do water births.
I just have to read some information
and like sign a consent.
Because it depends on a ton of different factors.
So yeah.
But if I give consent, then the option is there
if all goes well.
29 and three, it's like midday.
I am just exhausted today.
But yesterday after my midwife appointment,
I continued to do a lot around the house
and like a lot of tasks that like I had to think.
And I'm finding now like even doing tasks
where I'm just sitting down on my laptop
but I'm still thinking a lot.
It makes me tired.
Oh, so I think I just did a bit too much yesterday
because I am rooted today.
But I have to film some content for a brand.
It's due today and I've left it till the last minute.
So I've just filmed it.
I'm gonna edit it.
And then I think I'm gonna have a nap.
31 weeks and I'm just off to a midwife appointment.
All right, midwife appointment went really well.
I will have another scan on Friday
to check that my placenta has moved.
So fingers crossed.
I put on another kilo.
So that is good.
Baby is growing nicely.
I just told her that like we did a hypnobirthing class
which I need to update you on.
And so she started putting that in my plans.
What else?
Not much.
Like she just asked if I have any concerns
like how I've been going.
Everything's been pretty good.
So I'll have another appointment next week after my scan
to get the results of that.
And then from now on,
it's like an appointment every fortnight.
So got those booked in.
31 and four.
She is large and in charge.
And I actually think
I've officially got my first stretch marks.
They are here on my hip, my bum.
Just little ones.
And maybe here too.
I'm not sure what's going on here.
It's all a part of growing a baby, isn't it?
I am currently tidying up her room
because Clinton moved that big gym thing
out of here last night.
So let me show you where I'm at.
I've just given it a vacuum,
which is why I'm out of breath.
This has gone into the cupboard.
It's a good piece of furniture.
So I don't want to get rid of it.
I just hate the color.
So that's why it can hide in there for now.
I don't know what I'll put in it.
Cupboard is still just kind of a mess.
Like everything's just been shoved in there.
We've got the bookshelf, which is quite light.
So I'm just going to drag it over here.
And then I've also got the rug.
I think I might roll out as well.
Here are all the clothes that I've already bought.
Baby shower is on Saturday.
So I just want to get this room kind of like tidied up
so that after the baby shower,
I can really go through everything,
organize the cupboards here and get it like, you know,
set up and see what else is left to buy.
All right, here is what her room is looking like.
I've got the rug down here.
It still looks great on camera, but I swear it's green.
We've got her cot,
which obviously we need a mattress for.
This will go in our bedroom.
Here's her little change table.
And I've just hung up some of her clothes.
So I've got four zeros, three zeros,
and then a few bigger sizes.
These are five zeros as well,
just in case she's really tiny.
I did buy a few, but then I got some from my sister.
And then we've got some hand-me-downs from my sister.
What's this?
Three zeros, some hand-me-downs,
some that I've bought myself.
And I've got more clothes here.
Four zeros again, some hand-me-downs,
some that I bought myself.
Yeah, so still a bit to do,
but I am really happy with this progress
and I just think it looks so cute.
I love it.
As if I'm setting up a room for my baby,
like what the hell?
31 and six.
Oh my God.
It is my baby shower tomorrow.
So I just got home from work.
Oh, we actually just had an ultrasound.
I didn't just get home from work.
Got home from an ultrasound.
My placenta has moved out the way.
So the exit is all clear.
Baby can come out of there.
Oh, lipstick on my chin from eating.
Look, let's just ignore this, okay?
So my sister's coming over soon to help start setting up.
Let me show you these cute cookies I got.
Aren't they adorable?
Our last name starts with A, by the way.
Yeah, there's a few more under there.
I'm going for like a pastel pink and peach theme.
It's baby shower day.
So I've curled my hair.
I'm just gonna let it set for a while
because it does drop very quickly and easily,
which is so annoying.
So this desk is usually over here,
but we've moved it here for the food.
I got some beautiful flowers delivered as well
from Pocoposy.
My sign says the one where Tanika's pregnant,
little friends reference there.
And then over here, we're going to put like some games
and people can put any gifts that they bring
and another bunch of flowers.
And then over here, we're gonna have a little mimosa bar.
So my mom will be here soon.
And then my sisters,
they will finish helping me set up and get ready.
Everyone's coming over at 11.
So I'm just going to start my makeup.

32 and two, it is Monday.
My baby shower was on Saturday
and then we had hypnobirthing yesterday.
So it's been a very big weekend.
I have started tidying up just a little bit,
but I'm exhausted already.
So I think I need to have a lay down.
The baby shower was so fun.
I didn't get too much footage
because I was busy talking to everyone,
but it turned out really nicely.
I was really happy with it
and just so grateful for everyone that came
to celebrate and support.
And it was just so nice.
Here's the 32 week bump.
All right, so let me show you some of the things
I was gifted at the baby shower.
And first one is this cotton stretch wrap set.
I had this on my registry.
I thought it would be really cute for when she's born.
And I introduce her to everyone.
It comes with a little matching headband.
This outfit is for three to six months,
but how freaking cute is that?
Oh my God, little romper.
I got this Fisher and Price play mat.
Very bright, very loud.
But from what I've seen in lots of Facebook groups,
it's an absolute game changer.
Like babies love it.
So I'm excited to have that.
A baby nail trimmer, some reusable food pouches,
a few different kinds of teethers,
this cute little pram garland,
some of the love to dream swaddles
and also some more sleeping sacks.
Got some cute little swimmers
for when she's a bit older with a matching hat.
Lots of hats, which is cute.
There's this little one
and there's another one floating around somewhere.
That's super cute.
This one here.
I got this cute little mouse toy.
I think I've said it before
that Clinton's nickname is Mouse.
So little mini mouse and the name,
like her name is actually her middle name.
So that worked out when my friend Tennille bought that.
She was like, oh my God.
From the brand Eco Naps,
I got one of these wet bags to put into the nappy bag.
Just in case, you know, she shits herself,
I can put her dirty clothes in there.
I got some reusable bamboo nursing pads.
They feel super soft.
I've got a bunch of disposable ones as well.
So I'll just see what I like better.
I got one of the Hukka silicone breast pumps,
another nail care set, the Hukka brand,
and then also a nipple shield, breastfeeding shield,
and then some breast milk storage bags.
Got some more cute little outfits.
And then my sister got me this baby records book
with the little gum nut babies.
It is so cute.
I can't wait to fill that out.
We also got a few other books.
This cute little outfit set, look at that.
The matching top, adorable.
Some more swimmers.
And that one also comes with a matching hat.
Oh my God.
We've got some nice cozy blankets here,
some bassinet sheets,
and then a whole bunch of swaddles,
which is good because I don't have any of this kind yet.
Like I've only got the zip up one.
So this is just your classic swaddle.
And then this cute little Peter Rabbit toy
that can hang on her pram.
We were so spoiled.
There's still heaps of other stuff,
just little bits and pieces.
So yeah, I'm trying to organize it now.
So far, I've just put some socks in here
and some mittens and a beanie in here.
But yeah, I feel like we've got a lot of stuff
that we need now.
As I'm doing this,
I'll keep adding to my list of other things we need to get,
but I feel like it's kind of like crunch time.
I need to finish buying things,
pack a hospital bag, get a baby bag ready,
check that I've got everything that I need as well.
I don't know, it's starting to feel
a little bit overwhelming
just making sure I've got everything.
And because it's getting closer,
like you just don't know when she'll come.
Will she come early?
Will she come late?
How much time do I have?
So I kind of feel like I want to just get it ready
in case she comes early.
But anyway, one step at a time.
We are just at Baby Bunting.
Time to do some pram shopping.
We pretty much know what we want.
We're just going to go test them out, so.
Soft?
I am 33 and one today.
I do have undies on, they're just a bit skin colored.
Oh, I've just had a shower, refreshed.
Oh, I don't know what's wrong.
I just feel like tired and emotional
and I can't pinpoint why.
I'm usually pretty good at like,
knowing why I feel a certain way.
So to not be able to like, figure that out,
annoys me a bit.
I think I just need to go to sleep.
It's like 5.30.
I didn't even have a big day either.
I did some filming and I edited,
but besides that, I've just been taking it easy.
Went for a walk this morning, which was nice,
but maybe what set me off was I went to the cafe
and I really wanted a ham and cheese croissant.
They didn't have any.
So that was the start of my emotions for the day.
I think I just feel a bit disorganized as well,
like little things,
like I haven't got anything out for dinner.
I haven't got that organized.
I didn't do the groceries today.
I'm just, my desk is in shambles.
Like I just feel a bit,
frazzled, but I also don't have the energy
to do any of that.
I don't know.
I think I just might lay down
and watch a movie or something.
Going home soon.
I'll talk to him then.
33 and three today,
and I am off to the Bump Day Spa
in the valley to go get pampered.
Oh my gosh, I'm so excited.
I am always down for a massage.
And at the moment,
my legs are killing,
my back is killing.
Oh, this is just gonna be so good.
I just wanted to give a quick nursery update.
This is how we are looking.
So down here,
I've got one of the Kmart turntables
that I'm gonna put all the products in.
We've got some like earbuds,
nail sets,
and like a little snotty boss back there.
Drawers are still just got our nappies
and wipes in it.
And this drawer's got a whole bunch
of those Kmart,
they're actually like disposable nappies,
but we've been told they're really good
for burp cloths
and just cleaning up messes.
This section here is for me.
So we've got some disposable undies,
maternity pads, nursing pads,
things for the hospital,
like slippers and nipple cream,
just a whole bunch of stuff in there.
For me, I've got this beautiful blanket
from Dashmall,
which is Crystal Conti's baby store.
I love the color so much.
Her little bookshelf,
there's some more in here,
some more up there I need to put away.
This is the nappy caddy that I got from Kin
and I got it from the memo website.
So I've already put just a few things in there.
I feel like I'm gonna need a bit more space.
So like once I start putting my stuff in there,
maybe like a change of clothes,
I don't know.
Down here is just a bunch of stuff
I still need to like set up.
So we've got carrier,
car seat mirror,
a little nightlight.
And then in the cupboard,
I've done a little bit of organizing.
So I've got some bottles,
like sterilizer up the top there.
Oh, out of breath.
Got a few little pairs of shoes here,
some headbands,
different dummies to try if we want,
some teethers.
And then I've used these organizers from Ikea.
I've got full length onesies here and here.
These are like short sleeve onesies
and these are like singlets and singlet onesies.
On these are some little pants.
These are all size four zero for now.
And then down this section,
we've got bibs and swaddles.
These are all like zip up sleeping bag swaddles,
some little socks and mittens and beanies,
cot sheets.
And then we've got some clothes hanging up.
These are four zeros and then into three zeros
and a little bit bigger.
How cute is this jumper that I got from H&M?
And then this little cardigan was a gift
from the baby shower.
So freaking cute.
I would like Clinton to put these shelves
up on the wall here too.
So yeah, we're getting there slowly.
34 weeks and I am off to do hopefully
the last of the baby shopping.
I've got a big list on my phone.
So hopefully I can get it all done today
because it hurts to walk around for too long.
I've actually just got a heat pack right here
for my back for the car ride,
just to get me warmed up.
But I will give you a haul a bit later.
34 and for today, I just had the biggest sleep in.
I was so exhausted after shopping yesterday,
but I thought I would show you some
of the things we picked up.
Not all of them were essentials,
but you know, you can't help yourself sometimes.
Just got some comforter toys,
this little brush in case she has a cradle cap.
We've got some silicon toys
for like when she's a bit bigger.
Some muslin wraps.
I got these little toys that like strap to her wrists.
So cute.
Just some pseudo cream wipes.
We've got a box of nappies and more wipes over there.
I got a breastfeeding pillow as well.
I got this little mini pack of toiletries to test them out.
See how they go on it.
Some knitted blankets.
I love these two colors.
They're from Best and Less.
Got some bassinet sheets, a bunch of onesies.
These are all in size two zeros.
So for when she's a bit bigger.
Got a few jumpers, a flannel.
Clinton really wanted a flannel for her
and he has one like exactly the same.
So that's so cute.
This little outfit just here.
Some little pants.
We got another car seat mirror
so that we have one for each car.
We also got a mattress,
but it is on back order at Baby Bunting,
which is fine because she's gonna be sleeping
in the bassinet anyway.
I got myself some cozy pajamas.
Just like that nice soft jersey material.
These ones are from Target.
The pants and the button down shirt.
So if I'm breastfeeding, that'll be very helpful.
It was really hard to find a nightie version though.
I went to Peter Alexander's.
They had some on their website,
but they didn't have them in store.
So I ended up going to Homebody,
which I've purchased from them before for my wedding.
Like I got all my bridesmaids pajamas from there.
So I got a long sleeve button down nightie from there.
The material is, oh my God, so soft.
It feels absolutely beautiful.
Very lux.
35 weeks and two days.
Let's ignore the daggy undies.
They're actually very comfortable.
Maternity undies from Kmart
because they sit below your bump.
All right, well, I finally wanted to give you an update
on how the hypnobirthing went.
So if you got onto the Hypnobirthing Australia website,
you can find people who actually run the courses
and who are trained in the hypnobirthing.
But when we first got there, we got this book
and the first activity was this one here.
And it says, what does a positive birth mean to me?
So Clinton and I sat down with this together
and just come up with a few words
about what hypnobirthing,
like what a positive birth means to us.
And I think it was a great way to start
and a good way to like connect with Clinton
and just, you know, make sure we're on the same page
when it comes to this,
because this is definitely something that I wanted to do.
He was a bit like, well, what is this?
It sounds a bit hippie.
But I think by the end of it,
he is glad that we've done it.
And I feel like he knows so much more, like as do I.
So some of the words we chose
about my positive birth were being empowered.
I'm really interested to see what my body does.
I'm trusting my body that it knows what to do.
I'm trusting my baby that she knows what to do.
And I'm hoping that no matter how my birth goes,
I'm going to feel empowered by it.
We had calm, happy, love, teamwork,
gratefulness, connection to baby,
for me to Clinton and connected to my body.
And then I also wrote a note down here
just about like connecting with these feelings before birth.
So I have been doing some like positive pregnancy
meditations at nighttime before I go to bed.
And it's just a good way to kind of reinforce
everything that we've learnt.
And especially last week,
I was starting to get a bit freaked out and scared
and having like negative thoughts about birth.
And like, how am I going to do this kind of thing?
And introducing those meditations
has really helped with my mindset.
We did go over some things that we can control
or things that are within our control.
So I've got down here, being educated is within my control,
utilizing the techniques that I've learnt,
asking questions with care providers
and being a part of the birth process.
Like being involved, not just letting them
tell you all these things and you go along with it,
like actually knowing and understanding
what they're talking about.
And knowing and understanding what my body is doing.
I guess just had no idea like how your body actually works
to get your baby out.
It's amazing.
And so speaking about how your body works,
this part I found really interesting
and it was about the hormones
and all the hormones that play a role in birthing your baby.
So starting with endorphins, the hormone of pleasure,
they are said to be 20 to 40 times more powerful
than morphine.
Nature has designed us to release these
in copious amounts during birth.
The next really important hormone is oxytocin
and that is the hormone of love.
So they do suggest trying to labor at home
for as long as possible in your comfort zone,
in a calm environment where you feel safe
and protected and loved and supported
and all those things to help keep these hormones flowing.
Because I'm not a doctor,
hopefully I'm reiterating this right.
But from what we learned, if you are to be induced,
you get the synthetic version of oxytocin.
And that doesn't actually pass through your brain
the same way that real oxytocin does.
It just makes your body contract
and therefore get your labor going.
Real oxytocin passes through your brain.
So it has a different role than the synthetic oxytocin.
But yeah, it says when we release it,
we feel loved, nurtured,
and it helps mother and baby to bond with each other.
So lots of kind words, gentle touches,
kisses, let the love flow.
And so we did like little practices with me on the ball,
Clinton behind me, lots of soft touch,
you know, tickles in my hair,
tickles down my back, which I love.
Anyway, I love being tickled and touched.
It's just my favorite.
So I definitely think that is something
that is going to help me,
especially in the early stages of labor
to try and keep calm and focused and relaxed.
The next hormone was melatonin.
So keeping your birth environment dimly lit,
which I, that's something I also like.
When it gets to the evening,
I don't like having bright overhead lights on.
I like to put on all the lamps
and just have that dim lighting.
It helps me calm down.
So again, I think that's something
that will really work for me.
And then it goes on to talk about adrenaline,
relaxin, and prolactin.
But yeah, I found all of that so interesting
and I just had no idea.
Next, we talked about fear release.
And as I said, a fear of mine
is not having control over the situation,
but it's definitely something that I am working on.
And the things I mentioned before,
I just have to focus on,
they are the things that I can control.
Everything else, I just have to surrender to
and trust my body.
Now, hypnobirthing,
they do like to change a lot of the words
and I do agree, words have power.
I'm not too fussed on a lot of these.
Like for example, instead of using contraction,
they like to use the word surge or a wave.
And like, that's fine.
I don't really mind any of them.
To me, contraction doesn't have
a negative connotation to it.
Pain, and so I think the word pain
has that negative aspect to it.
So I do prefer using the words they've got here,
like pressure, tightening, strong, intense sensations.
And just remembering that,
if that word pain like does come to my mind,
the pain is purposeful.
It's my body doing its thing.
Another one was the word push.
So she talked a lot about that
and how like coached pushing can lead to tearing.
So instead of using the word push,
breathing or bearing down,
which I do prefer those terms as well.
And there's heaps of other stuff there
that I'm not too fussed on,
but they were the main things.
And I think just with the fear,
like fear brings tension to the body
and tension brings pain.
So just trying to release,
like surrender, reset and let go.
Obviously in the moment,
things could be very different.
I've never experienced giving birth before,
but I am trying to go into it
with the most positive mindset I can possibly have.
And enjoy this experience,
no matter what happens.
Another thing hypnobirthing is big on is affirmations,
which I love.
She actually did print us out a few
and I've stuck them up around the house.
Some of my favorite ones here that I have highlighted
are every surge brings my baby closer to me.
I trust my body's innate wisdom
to do what it is designed to do.
I am strong and empowered.
This one still like triggers me a little bit
because it's got to do with the control thing.
But I feel like it's important for me
because it does do that.
It's I am prepared to calmly meet
whatever turn my birthing takes.
And so with this,
I think it's important to be educated.
So Clinton and I knowing what we want,
if things happen,
being able to make educated decisions.
I also like I tune into my body.
I tune out distraction.
My baby is safe.
I am safe.
Yeah, I want to put out some affirmations
to put around me when I'm in early labor,
even take to the hospital,
even good reminders for Clinton to say to me
while I'm in labor.
We learned about breathing,
learned a lot about induction.
We've got a cheat sheet for partners.
So Clinton has learned a lot
and I just know that he's going to be
such a good support person for me.
He knows exactly what I want.
He's going to be able to stand up for me
and what we want from this birth.
We did a bit of learning about acupressure,
which, oh my gosh, feels so good.
Definitely be using that.
And then you do get a lot of information afterwards as well.
Like you get an app,
lots of meditations to download,
just extra resources.
Overall, I really enjoyed it.
I definitely think there's some parts of it that I'll take,
some parts that I'll leave,
but it's the same with like Western medicine.
I feel like I've always been like that.
Like I enjoy seeing a naturopath as well.
I'm not 110% into the holistic lifestyle,
but I take a little bit from that,
you know, take a bit from here,
take it from there, whatever suits me.
So that's how I felt about hypnobirthing.
That's how Clinton feels about it too.
And that's how we are going into it.
So yeah, overall,
I would prefer to have a natural birth
or a physiological birth is what they say.
I did talk to my midwife about this
and she was super supportive.
Hypnobirthing also kind of made out
like the hospital system was a bit anti-hypnobirthing,
but I found that my midwife was so supportive
and she wrote down all my notes,
encouraged me to do up a birth plan.
Well, like I'm calling it preferences
because again, I don't want to have a plan
because of the control thing.
And I even asked her about like, okay,
what if I have to have a C-section?
Like what exactly happens so that I am mentally prepared?
And so she talked to me about when baby comes out,
how long we get skin to skin,
how long I'm in recovery,
where Clinton and the baby will go.
So that just makes me,
like it helps me feel so much more calm
if my preferences were to go astray.
And even if they were,
I can still have some of the things I want
in that situation as well, like skin to skin.
Yeah, it was really good.
I feel really supported by my hospital
and especially by Clinton.
Like he has just been amazing.
Like the last couple of weeks I've been pretty hormonal.
Like I feel like I'm on the verge of tears all the time.
Like even right now,
I feel like I could just start crying,
talking about crying.
Like what the hell?
But God, he has just been so understanding
and doesn't judge me for all the ups and downs I'm having.
Oh, I'm just so lucky to have him.
He's been really good.
Oh my God.
See, like what the hell?
I'm also trying not to judge myself
for the ups and downs of all these emotions
and hormones as well.
Like it is what it is.
It's okay, ride the wave.
But another class I wanted to talk about
was from our hospital.
So it was called Becoming a Family.
And I just thought, I don't know,
didn't really have a description what it was about,
but it was all about mental health.
And it was so good.
I was shocked that the hospital offered a class like this
and it's all free.
So let me just check my notes here
so I can tell you about it.
But it talked about like different support styles.
So how the people around you can support you all
during this time.
Talked about baby blues, just how normal it is.
And when it starts to go for a bit long,
you know, go speak to someone.
It talked about expectation versus reality,
which for me, I think was really important
because I kind of still expect to have, you know,
the house spick and span and all this stuff.
Like life is gonna be so different
and I need to bring that gap
between expectation and reality a bit closer.
Who is in your village, what to do when things get rough,
what to do if we need extra support.
It was just really good.
And I feel like so important to talk about.
Like it gave Clinton and I so much to talk about.
And like, it was just really good,
like a really good prompt to get those conversations going
when we might not have even talked about that stuff.
So we both found it really good.
And I think it's something
that is going to be really helpful.
All right, well, I think I'm actually going
to end this vlog here.
And then I'm going to do another vlog
with like the final couple of weeks.
So I'm going to do a different vlog for that.
I'm really like, I want to record my labor and birth,
but I just don't know.
I'll see how I feel in the moment.
I would love to have those memories for me.
I think you can even put like in your birth plan
for like the midwife to take photos,
get footage, do all that.
So I think that's something I will look into
because I want Clinton and I to be in the moment together.
And he already like hates taking photos or videoing.
So I don't want him to be fumbling around with that
when his focus is on me.
So I don't know, I do want to record it
because it's important to me.
I love looking back on memories.
Also in that vlog, I'll do like packing my hospital bag,
like finishing up the nursery, things like that.
I don't know, my brain is like, it's done.
But yeah, I hope you enjoyed this vlog
of the third trimester so far.
If you haven't already seen the second trimester
and the first, I will link them down below.
If you have advice, I would love to hear it,
but please no negative,
oh, good luck with a natural birth kind of thing.
Like that's, I understand everyone's story is different.
I understand I have no control over the situation,
but I'm trying to go into it
with the most positive mindset that I can.
So let's support that, okay?
Thank you.
All right, well, I will see you in the next vlog
when my baby's here.
