This is my survival cache camping I stay out on a over night camp out useing my survival cache
I'll explain why when I get off the road.
Ok guys, so a little over an hour ago I finished work.
That was why I jogged out nice and slowly.
I'm going straight to my food and kit cache.
And I'm going to live off that tonight.
I planted it out on Monday, last time I was out camping.
Monday, Sunday night I planted it.
So it should be just ready for this trip tonight.
So yeah, let's find that bad boy and get it cracked open and I'll show you what's in it.
A little froggy sitting up. Ribbit.
Right, so I'm close to my food stash.
My survival stash we'll call it.
It's food and kit.
There we are.
There we go.
One survival cache.
Right, now I'm going to camp.
And there is only one camp suited for this.
And it's one that I haven't kitted out yet.
For the summer of course.
So yeah, where else?
Where else?
Right here.
Right, still exactly as I left it.
Still exactly.
Right, so I'm going to get this opened up and show you guys what's in it.
Okay, so I have one small bottle of water.
One pot noodle.
One packet of chocolate hob knobs.
One packet of fire lighters.
This, oh man, that's going to be my shelter.
An emergency poncho.
Some coffee.
A cup.
A crusader cup.
A tin opener for a full breakfast in a tin.
And that's all I've got.
So, sleeping wise, I'll just crack this open and see what's inside that.
Inside this bad boy.
Ah, nice.
A pen knife.
I got this just as a free gift.
Some sort of face cloth.
Rizzled waterproof matches.
Some sort of whistle.
That's what I want.
Tin foil blanket.
This is what I want to see, see what shelter I can make out of this.
Oh my god, it's, it's, it's yellow.
Wow.
A glow stick.
And a carabiner, obviously a water bottle.
A bit of a multi-tool thing.
So that's pretty much what I've got.
So that's my shelter.
That's what I'm going to sleep with.
I can use that to hold water once I've purified it.
Snap light.
Tiny.
That's the smallest snap light I've ever seen.
And a little towel and knife.
So yeah, this is what I have.
I've put this in pretty much instead of a ration pack.
So yeah.
Right, I'm going to get a fire going first of all.
Then I've got some more light.
And of course I have my tripod, my trusty tripod.
Right, so I'm going to have to fashion some sort of shelter with this podge.
See what...
I'm going to open it up and see what it's like.
Right, back scene.
This is totally, totally ----.
How the hell am I meant to make a shelter out of that?
Look at the size of it.
I don't...
I mean, other than wear it, I mean I could...
Well, I've just kind of dumped all my ---- back in the thing.
Started my water, so...
What I'm going to do is I'm going to get my fire going first of all.
Then I'm going to get my crusader cup with water from the river.
Start purifying and putting it into my bottle.
I'm wearing a cotton vest, so I'm going to take that off and use that to filter it through.
So yeah, that tarp is diabolical.
Who put that in a survival kit?
It's like a rain mack.
I should have put a black bag in, it would have been bigger.
It's got a hood on it.
That is really special.
And it's...
It's sealed at the side, so you couldn't, like, open it up.
I suppose I'm going to have it...
I'm going to have a rethink about that.
I'll put that back in there and get my fire going.
Clamped some tinder and that, so I'll be back in a second.
So that's a little tiny knife I got with it.
It's...
I mean, it's...
It is sharp.
So I'm only going to use half of these fire lighters, just in case my fire goes out.
In the morning.
Or sometimes through the night.
So yeah, I'm going to just use half.
Or even quarter and start really small.
My waterproof matches.
I'm not excited about this when I normally have a lighter.
Oh well.
Work first hand for a change.
Matches.
I love those fire lighters.
They're so simple.
And they do exactly what they say on the box.
This actually is ridiculous.
It goes down to, like, above my knee.
About two inches above my knee.
Well, there you can see.
My fire's going, but that's the main thing.
I'm going to go out to the river and get some...
water to purify.
Nice.
Chill it.
To clear a space.
So once my...
water is boiling.
I'm going to...
pour it into this bottle.
And I've took my cotton vest off that I wear.
And I'm going to double that up.
And push it into the bottle.
And filter the water through it.
Basically like that.
And pour it in.
So it just takes all the...
fire bits.
And river bits out of it.
Sweet as.
It's come to the boil.
Get that bad boy off.
Nice.
Right, I'm going to put you in the tripod while I pour this.
All the sinews caught in my vest.
I'll just leave that there to cool.
And repeat the process several times.
Until I've got a brim.
So now that I've got my water bottle almost filled.
I'm going to pour some of this...
water...
in here.
And bring it back to the boil for my pot noodle.
Snap light packet.
So that's that ready for my pot noodle.
Pot noodle's going down a treat.
Fire's getting puny.
I'm going to have to be getting more firewood in a second.
My vest's drying up over there.
You can see where I've poured purified water through it.
Black spots.
Quite nice for night.
Windy but...
dry for now.
Finally got a coffee.
Barely keep my eyes open.
I'm pretty much going to sit...
and lay on this bench.
That's what I'm going to do.
Wrap myself up in my tin foil blanket and my...
my...
---- poncho.
I'm fairly worn out and tired now.
It's quite windy.
I've got my...
yellow poncho on.
And my tin foil blanket wrapped around me.
And I'm just going to lie down right here.
Get a...
bench...
like this right next to my fire.
See if I can get a couple of hours.
I just woke up on the floor.
Shivering and my fire's gone.
I'm going to get my fire going again and get warmed up.
Oh my god that is so lovely.
It's starting to get light.
Thank god.
Longest night of my life.
Took me like two hours to get to sleep.
I've got me a morning coffee.
To warm my ---- up.
I ******* hate that poncho.
And my...
tin foil blanket kept on blowing away.
I didn't get to chase it like once.
If my fire got peary that's when I really got cold.
With all the hot ashes in the bottom I just got it going straight away again.
See how windy it is.
Put up with.
Yes that's nice.
Right I've got my other fully bush opened.
With my tin opener.
Just going to light it on the fire.
Nippy fingers.
Still fun to do.
See I slept right along there last night.
I must have rolled off because I woke up in a dirt down mark.
Along here.
But the fire was still really warm and I didn't get that cold.
Just like nippy on the toes and the fingers.
All in all a pretty good night.
Wind kept me up for like two hours before I went to bed.
Maybe an hour and a half.
But yeah.
I think my next survival cache will totally have a tarp in it.
Instead of a little tiny survival thing.
And also.
I think my next survival cache video will most definitely be in a thicker set of woods.
Where I'm less exposed.
On the bank I am really exposed.
You can see the wind just coming through.
Coffee was the last of my water.
Well I've got a little bit left for that.
Walk back.
Sweet.
Just leave that to cool.
Time for my coffee to be ready.
Should be long.
A few spoonfuls of that bad boy.
Nice and hot.
For coffee.
Just what's left of my survival cache.
For coffees.
This I had no use for.
I didn't really.
Obviously I wasn't being served.
A flashlight I didn't even use either.
Matches I used.
Hobnob.
I had like ten.
Yeah.
Awesome night.
Wish I had slept better but.
Beggars can't be choosers.
So this tin foil blanket is a lot bigger than the last one I had.
It was only two six.
Got this poncho.
Poncho.
It's getting burnt.
Bye bye poncho.
You did not keep me warm.
It did rain.
Not at all.
Which is quite good.
Not one spot of rain at all.
Not like the point I got here.
Tin foil.
That's ----.
And that my friends is me finished.
Catch you all soon.
