In today's vlog we have one magical experience after the other! And it makes us emotional. Our first stop is the Grand Floridian lobby where we eat a yummy dessert while listening to Wes play the piano! Then we go to Magic Kingdom where our only goal is Haunted Mansion. We would've never imagined we'd accomplish four more rides AND fireworks. After a quick swing by the Contemporary Resort we head home with happy hearts. Friday is dedicated to grocery shopping! Ummm... How amazing are those Bluey toys?
Hi! We are Peter, Sarah, James, and Theodore Brookhart and we live in Orlando, Florida. Our cute little puppy’s name is Eve. Together we strive to find the extraordinary in ordinary life.
Good morning. We're so glad you're here. We daily vlogs.
If you enjoyed this video, make sure you come back every day. James,
how was your first early steps therapy in home?
Well, it was really with me.
We chatted just like about James,
like went through his skills and what we want him to do and our goals.
come to find out that we do a lot for James and we need to give him
responsibilities. Even just like bring me the diaper,
like and those things like build upon his development.
So I think that's my biggest takeaway.
But I really, really love the therapist. Yes. Yeah.
And it's good.
It's like parent coaching model is like is what early steps does.
And so,
which is nice because we'll have that parent coaching model to give us the
skills to use at home. And then with, through Advent Health,
like that more clinical geared. Yeah. So good. I feel good about it.
I do feel like we've had so many appointments this week and I have high
appointment anxiety that I'm just like,
like I feel like,
and we already had our doctor lunch splurge yesterday. Yeah. Um,
so I'm gonna make some guacamole and I already made my little fancy drink and
it's Friday.
And we're going out to this. We haven't been out in like three days.
I know what the heck.
So here's our garage.
We haven't shown it too much cause it's been the last piece that we've been
getting together.
It's been the most obnoxious too because like cardboard boxes I've been breaking
down so they can get thrown away in like smaller bundles.
But we had so many boxes that took forever and we're finally a place where we're
going to organize it soon. I think that's really tomorrow's task,
but I've been like chipping away at little pieces of it. And like right now,
what am I going to do right now?
Cause I'm on my lunch break and I just wanted to spend like 10 or 15 minutes in
here.
I want to say I'm moving this workbench over here cause it's going to be like
workbench. The tool kit is going to go there. I think,
I think we're going to leave that there and then we're going to hang a cool top
wire like string here. I don't know the right word for that cable.
And that's going to hold all my running miles.
So as you can see, it's a not the widest garage.
We'll be able to fit our car in here for like hurricanes and stuff like that.
But we don't really keep the, the, we're not,
we don't plan on keeping the car in here cause we're going to like use this.
That's why it's so easy for Sarah to just like take the kids for strolls with
the, with the car or the stroller here that this one,
I've got our other stroller in the car all the time.
So it's just easy management there. But I'm so excited to get this place.
It's finally kind of organized between today and tomorrow.
Really shape it up to being like organized, clean and like we,
something we've never had before.
It's been so nice just to come over here to the craftsman toolbox and just grab
tools. Go do something inside, complete it, come back out, put the tools away.
So like this is the holder for our new vacuum.
We've got a new vacuum that's on the ground right there.
So that is going to get like hung here. We're going to get,
I'm going to hang the holder for our steam mop and then I'm going to probably
going to hang the battery charger for the tools like all right here.
So then it's just quick grab in, run out, grab it, go in. Boom.
We are going to hang this grandpa shop sign probably over here.
That was Sarah's grandpa's grandpa Joe's that Sarah's dad took after he passed.
And so we took that after we cleared out the house after Sue passed and when we
got the tools. So, um, I mean I'm not a grandpa,
but it is a family heirloom and we're going to keep it.
And then one day maybe I will be.
I am heating up leftovers from last night. I made red sauce and noodles.
And so we made fresh spaghetti. So we're going to have that with the sauce.
But I made salad, one of my favorite salads ever to go alongside of it.
It's Romaine lettuce, chickpeas, tomato. Um,
the dressing is like that homemade,
the sauce is ready. Um, homemade Caesar dressing.
So it has like olive oil, vinegar. I didn't have capers.
Um, so I used some pickle juice, um,
splash of orange juice, a splash of, I always mess this word up,
Worcestershire sauce and their Dijon mustard, Romano cheese,
salt, pepper, garlic. I'm going to,
I'm going to top you with mozzarella cheese and salami. So that's what's on top.
So I actually made a decent amount and I'll probably have it for lunch tomorrow,
but that's what we're having for our side.
It's worse.
Our goal tonight is daddy.
Wow. It should even feel calm. Yeah. It's a very calm evening.
The lights just turned on.
Well, we spent some lovely time at the grand Floridian,
met some wonderful friends, Becca and Brian.
We chatted with them for a while. Um, and now we're at the Magic Kingdom.
And it's like a weirdly calm evening.
Like it's like quiet here. The music's softer.
The people are talking.
There was a lot of people just like sitting on main street, like in a good way.
Wait times aren't terrible.
We're going to do Haunted Mansion. It had been down, so we were a little nervous.
But it's a 25 minute wait. We'll see.
Who knows what the night holds? Cause I really thought I can't even talk.
We were going to come to Haunted Mansion and leave, but maybe we'll stay.
Well, the kids, Oh my gosh.
The top of Splash Mountain is awesome.
I didn't know that.
I knew the construction was going on and I knew that that's like the new look,
but I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. Um, but what was I saying?
Oh, the kids took later naps. And so like,
they're going to be ready to go.
So we gotta burn some energy. Yeah.
Look at that. It was not long at all. Sarah even said, you know,
when we get out, it's going to be dark. Is it dark now that we got out?
That was a quick line.
So the sweetest thing happened ever. We all went in one dune buggy,
which I didn't think that would put me in the fields the way it did,
having us all smashed in there. But then towards the beginning,
Teddy was on my lap, James was in photos, and out of the blue,
Teddy just put his hand on Jamesy's neck and was just like rubbing his head
through the whole thing.
So it was just heart melting.
When James woke up from his nap,
not realizing that he actually woke up knowing the assignment,
that it's a chill Magic Kingdom day. Yeah.
We're going to have the clip be the entire queue.
We got some snacks while we were on Small World.
Oh no! There's Peter Pan's shadow!
My days.
In my fields with Mom and Anson.
Going on Peter Pan's flight with just Jamesy is special too.
Walk out for this.
Hi. I didn't want to pass it up,
but Jamesy just about erupted when we were walking past Winnie the Pooh.
So we're, we're hopping in a walk on.
Well, we're going to enjoy the queue in that queue.
Keep going. Spin, spin, spin.
Oh gosh. What do you see?
Your favorite PPC set you play with at home.
Except EV8 Tigger.
And she doesn't do that anymore. We're like, what?
Okay. We, we were, we were just feeling contemporary.
That's actually like what drew us to Magic Kingdom tonight was that I have been
missing the contemporary.
So we,
we strolled on over and they're moving under the stars as Star Wars for May the
4th.
Hey, electrical pageant.
What do you see?
Animals.
Our next stop will be the transportation ticketing center.
Boys are in their jams.
We are ready to be home.
I know I could have never imagined when we left that what we did would have been
accomplished.
What a very special and fun day.
May the fourth be with you. It's good to be home.
Good afternoon. We're so happy that you're here. We vlog every day.
So if you like this video, come back tomorrow.
This is our middle of a two-parter. Um,
we're still getting into the swing of things.
The doctor said a 30 minutes of cardio every single day.
And so we're making it a priority.
I'm hopping on the Peloton during Peter's lunch.
Um, also if you've been on the 30 for 30 page or even Instagram,
you'll have seen that my output has like been really high on the Peloton and
like, I knew he'd been like very active in the parks.
And I don't know,
like perhaps like I had been in more of a swing of things and maybe I'm
excelling on the bike, but like it was almost a double,
like very intense. So thank you.
People had suggested that I contact Peloton and they actually sent us for like
no charge,
a calibration kit and then like instructions on how to do it.
And so we haven't done it yet, but I just wanted to put that out there.
If you've ever experienced anything like that,
I think it's like within the first year of having your Peloton that Peloton is
like really a great about keeping your bike,
like doing what it's supposed to be doing. Um,
so hopefully we'll do that tonight given we're going to be staying in,
you know,
my favorite is Robin and she had a pop punk ride come out this week.
It's 20 minutes. So I'll do this. And then a 10 minute one, um,
after that is my right of choice. I'll let you know how it is.
All right. Welcome to our Friday. Sarah vlog earlier.
It's the week.
James found sticks from stock market on South the other day and he wants to
bring them into Target. And who am I to stop him from living his best life?
We're doing a little errand run to Target and then another errand run to Aldi
and then we're organizing a garage tonight.
This is the chaos that we're living in.
You're a cute.
And two episodes. We haven't seen you. Like why did Rusty and William have a go
car?
There's supposed to be new episodes coming out soon.
Oh yeah. I opened up and walked out of the Target and he went,
Oh, Oh, what's Teddy now? He's eating one.
Nice. We came home and said, what did you just say?
I love putting stuff away in the pantry.
We've gotten a bunch of like containers like this and like organizing metal
grates for like cans and produce the veggies and like snacks.
And then there's like all of these glass containers that we transfer everything
to, to store them in there. So pretty, pretty fun, pretty fancy,
pretty organized, pretty healthy.
Sometimes you got a little snack.
Yeah. I'm nervous about these paws on my white shirt.
So look at this delicious artisanal pizza from Target.
Arugula and prosciutto. About to put the prosciutto on, but look at this.
My latest, like my new go-to with all of our little vessels and being,
so I've been doing this is tossing the pizzas on the cutting board and cut it on
it, let it cool on it. And then we like serve it off of them. It's great.
There's the pizza all assembled. And we also have these like cones of,
chicken quesadilla cones.
I feel like the Target brand has like stepped up its game. Thumbs ups.
We know what our goals are. We know what we hope to accomplish.
And believe me,
it's the most exciting and challenging assignment we've ever tackled at Walt
Disney productions.
