WEEK IN MY LIFE: prepping for vacation, travel morning routine & pack with me!

What's wrong To another vlog I've had a morning slash early afternoon of workouts and appointments and all of the things I'm heading back home now. I have a meeting very soon I need to get some stuff done around the house and then tonight I'm actually really excited. I'm going to this place called zero gravity. They do like the scalp analysis Head-massage things and then they blow-dry your hair So, I don't know. I'm like interested in hair health and I feel like this would be good. I saw it on tik-tok It looks fun. Today's Monday. I leave for New York slash Nantucket on Wednesday so we're also gonna be prepping for that trip packing doing all the things and Yesterday I decided that I have another home project The deck starts this week and I said once the deck is done. We'll be done There's nothing else to do and then sure enough. I found something else to do I want to turn the guest bedroom into an office slash guest bedroom So I'm gonna take that bed out and put the day bed in the trundle So there's still options for people come stay like there is a place for them to stay But I'll just use it more like it doesn't make sense for that whole room to be taken up by a bed when like I could Use an office all the time. I want wallpaper. I want it to be cozy I just like need it all set up in there and I'm very excited about it So we need to measure today because I'm working with Sierra again To design that room. So I need to send her all the measurements and we got a couple get a lot of home stuff Okay, so hope you guys enjoy this vlog Okay, just had some meetings got some work done and then I did my measurements for my closet I'm thinking like cozy warmth day bed wallpaper big desk it's gonna be Very nice. I haven't I have another that's colorful Also, this is my new hairstyle. It's really messed up. It's fine I ordered a puzzle because a friend of mine's doing puzzle and I was inspired look at how cute I will be making this up It's gonna be a nice little mindful mindless Hobby, I'm back from my head massage So I went to zero gravity and Dallas and it was so amazing they do like a scalp analysis for so for the ends of my hair are just like So dry and I'm pretty sure it's a lot of the weather Obviously my hair is fried but like not really like it's just so much worse at the ends. I need a good hair oil Please leave a nice recommendation below it was a scalp massage And they do a scalp analysis. I will tick-tock on this if you guys want to go see it It's like find it on my tick-tock. It's Kenzie the Texan And they show you like what's on your scalp But it's like very like microscopic and mine was like gross like dry product buildup. I get really bad product buildup So they do like a whole thing to like detox it basically to give it more moisture Whatever It's like an hour-long massage. The one that I did was a 60-minute one you could do a facial with it, but I was like I don't know how I feel about going to like a random place and getting a facial like I was just worried Just cuz I have a trip coming up. I'm sure they do great facials, but I just like didn't want to risk it and also, I just always get facials at my dad's pin spa, but Anyways, my hair just feels so light like they give you a blow-dry after so you don't leave with wet hair But like my scalp feels like like, you know when you get your hair done and it just feels so much better again That's how my hair feels right now so yeah, I recommend if you guys are interested in that but Okay, I decided to actually get ready for today I took Coco to her appointment I've been on meetings and just getting work done. I'm wearing one of those like free will do dresses from Amazon I got it in black and pink and I just like I'm already over it Like I already feel like I don't like it Do I I don't know also there's a lot of clutter back here, but I need to pack today as well I need to self tanning to scrub off this tan. I don't look like myself right now. Maybe it's the color Maybe this one's color on me when I'm not tan. I don't know. I'm gonna start Packing right now just to get all that out of the way And like outfit plan Whatever. I've been basically outfit planning for this trip for months. I just been buying stuff As I've gone basically stuff gonna go do all that Okay, I'm in the middle of packing and I have all of my like daytime cute fits nighttime cute fits packed I just need to do Casual chill like hanging around the hotel and then I also need to pack for New York tomorrow And I need an outfit that I can wear recording to dinner. So I've got to figure that one out That should be pretty easy actually But I'm gonna see no farms, which as y'all know is my favorite place to get food in general in Dallas Like a lunchtime specifically I've been getting there like The lemon whatever the lemon cookies. It's so good. You got the not so fried chicken sandwich today I've been getting the strawberry flowers or the strawberry Salad a lot and then I have watermelon. So anyways, I'm gonna eat this hang on here Brainstorm and hopefully finish this soon. I literally hate packing so much. I'm not gonna lie y'all I have horrible cramps right now and my energy levels are very low So anyways, I have pretty much everything out for some reason Just the one outfit that I'm wearing tomorrow in New York has really thrown me for a loop But I think I just like forget every single year when I'm just so used to This horrible weather I like forget how to dress actually don't even know if I have the right outfit Danielle and Katie also they like dress to the nines For the Nantucket Airport because from LaGuardia like our flight from New York to Nantucket is only like an hour I met them there last year and they were like all dressed up So I'm not doing that and neither is Brooke and Colby isn't either so I Think we're gonna be okay tomorrow's look and I don't want to overpack At all, and I feel like we're getting there. I feel like we're very close. Honestly tomorrow I think I'm wearing like the coziest of cozy outfit to The airport like these are my favorite sweats from Aerie forever ago They're so good. And then I have my crew for the bar in the chamber one You Okay guys, I finally pretty much finished packing I Just honestly like with my cramps at this time of the month. I am just not feeling myself like I feel just like kind of gross like physically and I just like haven't feeling so good lately. I've been like so active and just like feeling so much better and The day that I had to like try on these clothes and stuff I was like, oh my god, like, you know That's just it's just the worst feeling ever. So whatever. I'm not dwelling on it. It's fine. My outfits are cute Did I overpack? Yes, I definitely did I do not need all of these things here when I'm just gone from Wednesday to Sunday But whatever cuz I just like it would take more time for me. Honestly, maybe if I get like a second wind later I'll go through and Declutter my luggage, but I don't know if that's happening. So I'm a spray-tan tonight I need to shower and like scrub off all of this tan. I need to pick up Coco's meds and Get some other work done. So that's what we're gonna do I curled my hair and I actually really like how Turned out like it's just easy and simple. I don't know. I've been like so Just like weird about my hair lately. I really don't know. It's like actually tomorrow. Well, I'm gone My brother-in-law is a contractor. Thank God. My backyard is a mess But my deck is being built while I'm gone. It'll probably be almost time by the time I get back That is my pool cover that I got but I lost the stakes. So I have another one coming tomorrow I don't know how I did that. I literally don't know so pretty soon the view out here is gonna be amazing It's gonna be my pool and my deck and I need to clean my pool. The water is a little bit messy I'm thinking about getting one of those little pool Vacuum things too. I don't know. It seems a little bit ridiculous back home I got a spray tan on sugared and bronze, which is where I go in Dallas. Typically. I also like Dallas 180 for spray tans But I just like don't schedule out enough and then sometimes drive to them and it's too far now, whatever But if you need a good mobile spray tan, I think they open in Fort Worth to Dallas 180 But if not, if you're like me and you're just last-minute Sugar to bronze is also great. So Anyways, I get the one that has like green in it. So I look really intense until I wash it off Obviously, I've tried everything in the world I've read every carry-on bag under the Sun and this by far is the best one. It's a calipac Luca duffel I have it obviously in beige. They have much more colors. It is the best carry-on bag Literally ever I use it all the time. It's where I put everything and then it's amazing. It's not too heavy It doesn't feel too bulky, but it fits a lot, but it doesn't feel like your arms gonna fall off You know what? I mean? It's the best so I'm working on that charging all my devices And just getting my life in order take care of the dogs There may be downloading some books later I've been reading some amazing books. I'm reading a lot of a buck a yarrow. So we can my Goodreads out Cooking and going through my good reads. Okay, so I read to the likely event by rocky RS I talked about it on the vlogs loved it Then I read the last letter by our backyard loved it even more than in the likely event Then I read will always have summer and summer jump ready book three Because I read those books I was like 12 and then I finished the series It was just like made me angry and I needed to like get the ending that I wanted So I reread them and honestly guys like I don't remember there being way more of an ending in those books for that's not a Spoiler at this point, but I was just like the ending I don't know. It's like didn't give what I remember to giving as a 12-year-old like there we didn't really get much And then I read great and precious things right back to yours. Also. I also liked that one I didn't love it like her other books like I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't say it was the best thing I've ever read And I'm gonna download a bunch of other books for My week away and my week of travels. I can read nothing. I could read 15 who knows Good morning, so I guess it's kind of like my travel morning routine just got I showered at my tan off I love the tan and they did a great job And I'm packing up my final stuff. So everything is packed besides. I shouldn't know why I didn't practice yesterday just like my lotions, but This is my skincare bag, I got it from the Bridgette elements collab and at the event They did a little like monogram on there, which is cute Then I have my face rollers. These go on my carry-on Those go in my actual luggage. I curled my hair this morning I just touched it up a little bit because I'm basically going straight to the studio Look, I'm gonna stop by the hotel drop off my stuff change But I was like it'll just be one less thing to worry about cuz I think I'm gonna have like 20 minutes to get ready To go record and then go to dinner So we're gonna put this stuff away. My curling iron is still hot, which is stressing me out, but it's okay We're gonna be okay. I also have I'm gonna wear this Crew at the airport, but I have 100 degrees out right now. So not My last coffee Until oh my god, like these sweatpants. Listen, they're comfortable. I didn't say they were flattering That's why they're airport sweatpants. Okay. Anyways, my last coffee of The week well of the ones that I'd like guys, actually, I Got an entire bag of proms. I do this a lot when I'm traveling a bunch, especially if I am going to I look way tanner on camera than I do in real life, but I mean stacking travel So it's like a do once in New York City, New York City just so I don't have to leave come back. Whatever. Anyways Chops, these are the best airport snack They're filling they're amazing. I'm gonna miss my coffee. This is what I miss the most besides my dogs about being home And my dog sitter is great. She just comes and picks them up after I leave and she drops them off before I come home It's so nice to not have to like go without them at home. It feels so weird when They're gone Okay, I'm going through my checklist of things that I have to do this morning. I've got 15 minutes my abricots here So I'm gonna get a little bit of work done. I'm getting to the airport and I'm working all morning I have so much to do. I'm working on the plane. I'm doing it all. Oh Last thing I need to do though I'll show you all what books that I I need like good business books. I love business book for some reason like I just haven't been seeing any that I like what I read okay, so I Got going on offense a leader's playbook for perpetual innovation The quiet tenant Liz recommended it how to not die alone. I think I'm having on the podcast Focus Ellen full measures. I click them all to make sure they're all actually downloaded on my Kindle That's the worst thing ever When you get on the plane thinking you have a new book and then you realize that it wasn't even downloaded It was just like on your home screen.
