And today's episode, we're going to touch a little bit about on what we do in addition to when we do implant surgeries.
So, implant surgery has been a big procedure that we do, a very common procedure we do in our practice.
And there are certain tools that we can incorporate to make our procedures a little easier, a little simpler.
And so one of the things that we use or we can use is what's called a surgical guide.
Now, what's a surgical guide?
A surgical guide is something that we create to give us exact locations of where we want our implants to be.
It's going to be much more accurate.
It makes it much less stressful.
And it actually allows us to become a better clinician.
And so some of the cases that we do, we'll use a surgical guide because we want precise placement of those implants.
Because when we place implants, it has to be where the teeth are going to be, right?
It's all about where is your final teeth going to be.
And the best way is to plan our cases ahead of time.
Now, many offices, you know, patients will come into the practice.
They're missing a tooth and say, okay, we can go ahead, we can do the procedure now.
Yes, in some cases we can.
But in order to get the most accurate, best results, many times we'll incorporate what's called a surgical guide to help us guide the placement of the implants.
So you can always ask your local dentist if you're doing implants, do they use a surgical guide?
And if not, you can ask them about it.
But we use it to help us be more precise with our placement, more accurate, and much less stressful when we do the procedure.
So it's easier for you and easier for me.
So surgical guides with implant surgery is definitely an advantage.
So thanks for joining us. Like us. We'll see you again soon.
