Hello, I'm Hidden Ayutthaya.
Today, I'm at Wat Prang Hang Neng.
Located in the middle of the city.
It's a temple located at the foot of Makhamriang Road.
This temple is called Wat Porakang.
The special thing about this temple is that I came to explore.
Because I studied some old documents and maps.
So I found the story of this temple.
The story of this temple and the name of this temple.
The name of this temple is the same as Wat Porakang in Ayutthaya period.
The ancient site of Wat Porakang.
The main part is
Porakang Yai
The art of Ayutthaya period.
The building has a square shape.
Face to the sun.
On the building, there is a Chukachee base.
The Buddha and a part of the Buddha statue.
A small building.
And the hole that the artist said.
It's another hole.
Actually, I think the area of the temple.
There is not only this building.
But there should be a Buddhist building behind.
But in the past.
The building that is far from here.
There is no building left.
Now it has become a deserted area.
It's a strange story.
The name of this temple.
The most prominent point of this temple.
To name it.
That is Porakang.
That makes me think.
The name Porakang.
It should be the name of the temple.
That was built later.
From the survey of the abandoned temple.
In the period of Rattanakosin.
It may be the time of the King.
Because this temple.
It does not appear in the map.
Of the King.
But it turns out.
The name Porakang.
Appears for the first time.
In the map.
This map was created.
On the 6th of November.
2499 B.E.
Organized by the survey department.
Of the Institute of Art.
This map.
Has the same structure.
As the map of the King.
But there is an addition.
To the name of some temples.
One of them.
Appears as Porakang.
It means.
The survey in the year.
2499 B.E.
Found this temple.
So.
The highlight.
The most prominent point of the temple.
Porakang.
So it was named.
Porakang temple.
Since then.
But when considering the position.
On the map.
Which was written.
In the 4th reign.
I found.
The position around Porakang temple.
It is similar.
To the position of the temple.
Which appears on this map.
Which was written.
Wat Trae.
When taking the map.
To consider the position of the temple.
Surrounding Wat Trae.
Such as Wat Khun Muangjai.
Wat Suvarnararam.
Wat Kampang.
Wat Khok Phao Khao.
When comparing with the map.
And the position.
On the Google map.
We can see the similarity.
This Porakang temple.
May be the same place.
Which appears on the map.
Wat Trae.
This is the temple.
Or the inner temple.
In the 4th reign.
Which is the important temple.
Located in the Chinese community.
In Phanakhon.
From the inner temple.
It is located here.
Porakang temple.
Wat Trae.
May be the famous place.
For the ancient people.
Since the beginning of Rattanakosin.
Until the new temple.
In the 4th reign.
But it is surprising.
When the 5th reign.
King Boralachathanin.
Explored the territory.
Of Ayutthaya.
And made the plan.
In the 2469 B.E.
Which is the 6th reign.
The position of the temple.
Which is Wat Trae.
Will not appear again.
But when we check.
The documents of the King.
Found that.
Wat Trae.
Appears in the King.
Krungsri Ayutthaya.
King Jagapadipong.
Which has a story.
In the reign of King Narai.
In the King's diary.
He told the story.
In the year 1025 B.E.
King Yubua.
Went to build a cage.
At the top of the temple.
Got 70 elephants.
Destroyed about 400.
And entered the temple.
When he got up.
He went out.
All the people watched.
King Chayakhan.
The youngest son of the King.
Told the King.
All the elephants.
Except King Yubua.
Other than that.
He was not afraid of anyone.
King Yubua.
Knew that.
King Chayakhan.
Pretended to be a king.
The king knew.
So he answered.
Let's ride the elephants.
King Chayakhan said.
Ride the elephants first.
King Yubua agreed.
On the appointed day.
King Chayakhan.
Riding the elephant.
6 inches tall.
King Yubua.
Riding the horse.
3 inches tall.
Set up the cage.
In front of the temple.
The horse was far from the elephant.
King Yubua.
The horse was far from the elephant.
King Chayakhan.
Riding the elephant.
Near the temple.
The elephant was riding the king.
King Chayakhan.
He saw the elephant.
He rode the horse.
The elephant was frozen.
King Chayakhan.
Riding the elephant.
King Chayakhan.
He ran away.
King Chayakhan.
Roing the elephant.
Heipmal.
Roing.
King Chayakhan.
Roing.
Riding the elephant.
On the appointed day.
King Chayakhan.
Riding the elephant.
In front of the temple.
On the appointed day.
The area that is now the road of Makhamriang River.
If you walk out of this building
Go out to the road
The road is called the Makhamriang River.
At this point, it should be an area called
Wat Trae Field
Which is the field in front of Wat Trae
This area is probably the area
It will probably be a desolate area.
Which made the King sent to set up a field
Here to be a point
Let the King and the King
Come to ride elephants, horses, and horses.
When checking the message in the document
To Khun Luang Wat Pradu Songtham
Which tells about the location of the market area in Phra Nakorn
No activities appear again
On the western side of the body
Which here may be an empty area
Enough to be a test field
Riding an elephant to chase a horse in the era of Somdet Phanarai
Wat Nang
The horse of the royal family went to the corner there
In the old area plan
Both during the reign of the fourth king
And the plan at Wat Rang Thuk Chabap
Form a straight position
That is at the foot of the body
The same style as Wat Hora Khang
Riding a horse would be long
Go along this road
Go up to Wat Nang
I will take you to see the position of Wat Nang
Where will it be
This is a road that is smooth
Klong Makham Rieng
Or Klong Nai Kai
During the reign of the fourth king
In addition
Wat Nang still appears in the area of
Engelbert Gamfer
Who came in the era of Somdet Phanarai
Which in this area plan
There is a picture of a brick bridge across Klong Nai Kai
In front of the temple
Like the one in Phung Sawadaan
The small chamber door
That the royal family rode a horse into
It would be the chamber door
Of the wall of Wat Nang
Here I try to compare the area
Of Wat Nang
From the area of both Gamfer
And the area of the old area plan
During the reign of the fourth king
If you look at the distance from Google Maps
It turns out that the position of Wat Nang
Should be in the area of
The parking lot of Wat Senat
So it's not surprising
The area that is the road
Klong Makham Rieng in the present
From the front of Wat Hora Khang
Go up to Wat Senat Sanaram
It is the area where the elephant of Mr. Chaiyakan
Will ride the horse of the royal family
Up to the brick bridge in front of Wat Nang
And finally
This story makes us know that
The descendants of the successors
In addition to Kosa Led
Kosa Pan
And the royal family
There is also a person named Mr. Chaiyakan
Another person who is a descendant
But it does not appear that
Mr. Chaiyakan
Is a person who is very important
Because looking at the behavior
Challenging the royal family
To come and ride the elephant
Chasing the horse
And escape from the competition
Go home like this
Which looks like
It must be a person who has a characteristic
That does not seem to be greedy
As the successor
Decided that
Do you know
Mr. Chaiyakan is a wild soldier
And this is the story of Wat Hora Khang
Which I have analyzed
From two documents
That I brought
Tell you that
Here actually
May have the same name as Wat Trae
May be
For the exploration of Wat Hora Khang
Today, it ends right here.
See you again in the next clip
For today
Hello
