Hello, I am professor Eduard Yakupov, and today we will talk about the five main causes of heart pain.
The first, the most important, serious and dangerous for life and health is cardiac pain in the heart.
In other words, the pain caused by the pathology of the cardiovascular system.
Well, for example, a myocardial infarction, ischemic heart disease,
a myocardial infarction or rest can cause a variety of very unpleasant phenomena in the left half of the chest.
In fact, when a person complains of chest pain and even shows it with his hand,
and explains that he has a burning sensation after physical exertion, climbing the stairs, post-emotional stress,
this is one of the typical examples of the same cardiological pathology, as a result, for example, of IBS,
stenocardia and tension.
But when the pain suddenly occurs in the heart with irradiation, when it hits the hand, the shoulder blade, the neck,
this is a dangerous pain that can indicate an increasing, advancing, starting myocardial infarction.
You can't slow down here, you need to urgently contact a doctor, an ambulance,
so that you are provided with the necessary medical and specialized help in a cardiological station or ward.
The second widespread cause of discomfort in the left half of the chest,
and some patients mistakenly say about heart pain, is the vertebrogenic cause.
That is, it is associated with the pathology of the cervical or thoracic spine.
To put it simply, some of you call it osteochondrosis, although we no longer use this term for a long time.
But when a person has a herniated disc in the cervical spine, it can cause very strong pain in the back of the head, in the arm, and even in the shoulder blade.
You ask me how to differentiate them from cardiological pathology.
After all, this is the job of specialists, and one of the methods of differential diagnostics is electrocardiography.
It is it that allows us to give an answer to the question of whether the heart is affected or not.
And the second stage is to take a picture of the neck and examine the cervical and thoracic spine.
Are there any problems here that could cause the most unpleasant shooting sensations to the fingertips, to the hand, shoulder blade, or neck?
The third reason, which is very significant and so widespread in its essence, is non-vertebral and non-cardiogenic pain in the left half of the chest,
associated with anxiety disorders, panic attacks, that is, patients with emotionally affective disorders and vegetative disorders.
This is how I defined it.
Unpleasant sensations, discomfort, pain in the left half of the chest.
Because we have nothing in common with the heart, with the pathology of the heart.
And I want to emphasize this.
And the nature of sensations, the nature of pain is completely different.
Let me remind you, with a stent and tension, a person shows the chest in this way.
It burns, it burns behind the chest.
And with pains against the background of a panic attack, against the background of the so-called vegetative disorders,
a person shows his pain like this, with his finger.
Or he describes it in the most bizarre way.
The heart turns upside down.
A heartbeat appears.
It can pop out of my chest and now it will burst.
These are all the descriptions and epithets that we often hear from our anxious patients.
By the way, they can be accompanied by shortness of breath, shortness of breath, unpleasant sensations throughout the body.
But this is not a heartache.
The fourth cause of pain in the left half of the chest, again, is not related to the pathology of the heart.
This is neuropathy of the intervertebral nerves as a result of their defeat, for example, by herpes.
And this very often happens in elderly people.
When they suddenly start to feel a burning, sharp pain in the heart area of the left nipple.
But after a few days, they start to fall asleep.
And here the diagnosis is quite clear that this is a herpetic defeat of the nervous system.
And it is accompanied by very unpleasant, sometimes painful pains, again, in the left half of the chest.
And one more, relatively rare, and perhaps because it occurs in people of young age, in teenagers.
On the YouTube channel, patients often come to me and say,
at this age, they say, suddenly I had such a strong pain in my heart, maybe I will die tomorrow.
And the person is only 15, 14, 16 years old.
These unpleasant sensations in the heart are due to the fact that the person is simply growing.
Grows fast enough.
And his regulatory systems do not keep up with this growth.
That is, the regulation of our organs and systems, in particular, the cardiovascular system,
which obeys the work of the brain and the work of the vegetative nervous system, is violated.
But it is not violated from the point of view that there is some serious unknown pathology.
It's just a kind of imbalance that goes away over time.
And, please, I appeal to you, young people, 14, 15, 16 years old,
do not worry about the fact that something terrible is chasing you
and some terrible pathology from which there is no salvation.
These are all incoming symptoms.
And, of course, I mentioned only five main reasons.
In fact, there can be many more.
There is a pathology of the bronchial system and many other things.
But still, what we have designated are the main problems
that people come to a cardiologist with.
And then they go from a cardiologist to a neurologist or a psychologist or a psychotherapist.
Be careful, take care of yourself and be healthy.
