In the first two stages, we're talking about symptoms in the digestive tract. And in Ayurveda,
we always look to the digestive tract for the root causes, because there's so much emphasis put on
what we eat. Because what we eat is the grossest or most powerful way that we're changing our
physiology, right, with the substance of the food that we take in. In the first two stages,
we may see minor digestive symptoms going on. And in those first two stages, I find this very
fascinating. We will naturally crave the foods and the lifestyle habits that will bring us back
into balance. But once that progresses, what's happening in the digestive tract creates the
blood. Think of it as blood chemistry. It gets into the blood. Now we have an imbalanced blood
chemistry circulating throughout the body. Now that's really starting to impact our mind and our
emotions and how we feel. And it's starting to irritate our tissues, because the blood is
obviously nourishing everything in our bodies, all of our tissues. In stages three and four,
unfortunately, we start to crave things that will increase the imbalance, because it's the
blood chemistry talking. Start with getting to know your dosha. Let's leave a link for the dosha
quiz. And at the end of the quiz, you'll see a list of the imbalances that are associated,
generally, commonly with this dosha. And then so you can confirm, does that sound like me? Is this
really what my tendencies are? And if that seems correct, you can then see a list of dietary
principles and also some lifestyle habits that would be balancing for you.
