What happens when you say goodbye to a Bible-faith?
When you have mastered how to work on this book,
but when you no longer put yourself under this word humbly?
Maybe very briefly, your observations.
You can see that very well in practice,
in the Evangelical Church of Germany, in the EKD.
A game of mourning.
The Reformers taught us, the Fathers believe,
that the church was a creatura verbi,
that is, a product of the Word of God.
Where we believe in the Word of God,
where we trust Him, where we proclaim it,
a community grows, a community can live.
Where the Word is questioned,
where the Word is destroyed or no longer preached,
nothing can happen, like sowing.
If I take the seed and destroy the seed,
if I file on it, it brings no fruit.
Or if I don't even throw out a seed.
And that happens in the church.
Land up, land down.
The Evangelical Church is an example of this.
For 150 years, we have had the liberal theology,
the historical-critical research,
and then, above all, with the catalyst,
with Rudolf Bultmann, after the war,
a madness of what happened.
Church, that was Bonhoeffer's word,
church for the people.
Today the church starts to say,
church with the people, church with the Muslims,
with all kinds of others.
And you can see, the church has no success
with these things, what you just said,
to look for what people want.
But it gets worse and worse.
We had in Bremen, just to give you an example,
in Bremen 1970,
500,000 people in the Evangelical Church.
Today we have 200,000 more people.
Everything went down.
And land up, land down, we see,
the churches are empty, churches are being sold.
This church is no longer a church in many areas.
Church is only where the word is clearly proclaimed
and the sacraments are properly managed,
where this does not happen.
And this is in many parts of the Evangelical churches.
There is no church there.
There is a cultural association.
There are some things,
that transform some religious traditions.
But it is no longer a church.
And everyone can only look.
And especially you, Russian-German siblings,
please do not look.
Do not let it come too far in your circles.
That you come to such conditions,
as in the Evangelical Church in Germany,
which rightly, I say this very clearly and very sharply,
is far from death, from the end.
They will still exist a little bit,
not because they are a social force,
with the many hospitals,
with the diaconic institutions.
But from the word in many areas,
because we, I guess,
about 85 to 90 percent,
do not have reborn priests,
the thing goes down.
And rightly so.
Because the word is not proclaimed.
And that can only be a warning.
Worse than we have done in the last 50 years
in the Evangelical Church,
with the relationship,
which is still good from time to time.
You can not make it worse.
Do not let the word of God
question you.
It does not matter,
how you design a community hall.
It does not matter,
if the cuckoo does not know
how you stroke it.
It does not matter.
You can also argue about it in the church.
But please,
with the word we have to stay clear.
That is our foundation.
And that is the only thing we have to give.
That is our reputation in this world.
We do not have to spread it out.
And we are guilty before the living God,
if we do not bring the truth of the Bible
to people.
And such a church,
which questions the word,
which no longer proclaims the word clearly,
no longer has the blessing of God.
And you can see that
in our EKD in Germany.
This is a well-spoken, practical example
that we have.
Thank you very much.
I would understand this
as a clear statement,
what has been said here.
It is important to me.
We are talking about struggle.
What can you do?
First of all, we have to know
where the enemy stands and
who we are dealing with.
We are not dealing with a few confused theologians
or some professors,
but here the rebel is fighting.
We are not dealing with flesh and blood,
but the devil from the beginning
fights against the word of God.
This is the main fight he leads.
Adam and Eve should have said God,
the questioning of the word of God.
And that is his fight.
And we have to know that, that's what it's about.
And we can only fight this fight
with two things, as the scripture teaches us.
Ephesians 6, the spiritual leadership,
the weaponry that we have to wear.
That is the prayer.
And that is, as Brother Sklar said,
the word of God.
And then you have to check yourself.
You have to be founded in the word yourself.
Be at home in the word.
I am now a parish pastor.
When I am in my community,
every second sermon I say to the community
clearly and clearly, you have to,
and I say that so clearly,
you have to read a chapter of the Old Testament,
a chapter of the New Testament every day.
It is not possible below that.
Everything below that is a spiritual minority.
And then you can check yourself.
Because if you are not founded in the word yourself,
then you are susceptible to these things.
Because, just as Brother Sklar said,
the word defends us.
The word has a power of self-perpetuation.
But if we do not give the word
a space in our lives,
then its power cannot unfold.
And before we go to the edge,
we have to let ourselves be filled by the word.
Jesus Christ must be with us.
And, and that is the other thing,
the folded hands.
I experience it again and again,
unfortunately, also in evangelical communities.
It is said that the prayer circle
that we set up last year,
that it is very important to see
not only that we pray for ourselves,
but also for the community.
In addition to the clean theology in the preparation,
fold your hands, ask for authority,
ask for guidance, and ask the living God
in Jesus Christ that he really leads
his Holy Spirit and draws attention
where you may fall at home
in some liberal theology.
That he really does it again and again
and also asks people to pray for your service.
If you are powerful preachers,
will the resistance attack you?
The enemy shoots at the heads.
And the attempts, the attacks,
are very different.
Sometimes he sends the pretty woman
with whom you are not married.
Sometimes it is somehow the colleague
who finishes you, or, or, or.
Then it is the money or something else.
He has an incredible number of possibilities.
And it is so important that we pray,
but that you also have brothers and sisters
who fold their hands.
And also for those who are in 2nd and 3rd row.
Do the most important service
that there is for us.
Prayer does not support the work
of the kingdom of God.
Prayer is the work of the kingdom of God.
And with these two weapons
we can withstand the cunning attacks
of the resistance.
Prayer and the word of God.
And please found yourself again and again
that you read, that you read.
And if you read the chapter,
ask, Lord, what do you have to say
for my life?
And what you hear and understand,
please put it around.
Not only readers and listeners of the word,
but also perpetrators.
Maybe you could talk very briefly
about how you use the Internet,
or how God uses the Internet
to bring the gospel out,
to let it go.
I found that very remarkable.
The famous sermon
was on YouTube,
and something came out of it.
Maybe you can combine that
with a very short closing statement.
I think that's very important,
because there are a lot of young preachers here.
Facebook is there,
and so on. Maybe you can
say something about it again.
I think it's in the right place.
Before I give you the last tip
and the closing statement,
I can say that I'm not a computer amphibian
and have difficulties with these new media.
But we have people in the community,
one of whom is getting married
in your community now.
No, he's getting a good husband.
I'm going to get married here in the fall.
But we always have a live broadcast
of our service to God.
We have 300 live broadcasts
over the telephone and the Internet,
and we record things
on Facebook and YouTube.
We have an incredible experience.
I've told you that I'm only
about two days a week.
If you have about 10,000 downloads
per sermon and only 1% of the people
write, I'm only talking about the theological
or mental health-relevant things.
That's crazy, but it's great theological work,
even if it happens from afar.
We also see an assignment
that the community also carries with it,
that it's something wonderful.
I can only encourage you to publish it,
bring it to people, burn CDs,
pass it on, give it away,
upload it, it's very, very important.
These opportunities that have been given to us,
to really use them
are gigantic.
I could go on for a long time about
what's happening with this Internet work,
how such Internet communities,
such splitter communities have been founded
in Germany.
Without us looking for it,
without us planning anything,
it's the power of God's word.
The tip I would like to give you
is what Jesus Christ himself says in John 15.
He says,
I am the vine, you are the vines.
Whoever stays in me and I in him,
he brings much fruit,
but without me you can do nothing.
Stay in Jesus, stay in his word,
and you will experience the blessings
of our almighty God.
The Lord bless you.
