Hello.
So, let's say you've twisted the bump and go all you can and nothing's happening,
right? And you're trying to unlock a motor. What shall we do now?
Thankfully there is a solution. You will need pliers and a little flathead screwdriver.
Before we start, if you have any issues with this, there is a wiki for these toys in the
feel free to pop into either and ask any questions that you have.
But first you just want to use your flathead screwdriver to sort of unlatch this tab here.
So now you can take out these wheels.
Now what you want to do is again use your flathead screwdriver,
gradually slide off the gear. And if that isn't working, you can grab onto the square bit and
try and pull that up. And that will, by extension, generally end up pulling the gear off.
You might need to use a little bit of force. A little bit of prying. Don't be too hard on it,
obviously. But it is normal for this to happen. Just, you know,
obviously be careful. You might want to use your pliers to, you know, lift up the gear.
Work up the gear a little bit, which is what we're going to do here.
Try and get it off of the shaft. Which, as you can see, there we go. We've done that now.
So now we can take this off. And I've got access to their shaft. So now what we can do is turn the
thing on. The motor is not moving. So what you want to do is, as it is turned on, grip the shaft
with the pliers and turn it. And there we go. It's now rotating again. So you can just put this
little thing back on. And then put this little thing back on. I need to do a little bit of
wiggling around of things, but we'll get it eventually. Just push it on all the way there.
Take a little bit of force.
You may also be pushing down on the gear shaft inside of the toy, so you might need to
open it up, which is why this is a bit harder than the other. It is possible to just turn
this gear by itself whilst it's attached to the shaft. So you might want to try that before you
try this. We've got it attached to an extent where the gear is turning. So now all we really
need to do is just reattach this, put this back on, and enjoy our working bump and go bus.
