Felicita R. started smoking at age 12 and smoked for more than 30 years. When she was young, she thought smoking made her look cool. She was diagnosed with severe gum disease at age 50 and had to have all of her teeth removed. My name is Felicidad and the cigarette
gave me a disease in the cravings and
then I stopped smoking as I bled
from the mouth when I ate I bled
when I slept I always had blood in the
mouth and when I went to the dentist I
explained what was happening they
told me You don't have to pull out your
teeth Because the Carrillo ate the
bones of your
teeth He wanted to pull out two every
two weeks that he should come to pull out two and
I told him no that he should pull them all out
in one fell
swoop I pulled out 23 teeth in one
fell swoop I felt like I lost a lot to this
day
still when I look in the mirror I
feel
bad What I want to teach children is
that it is not easy this disease no it does
not
warn you until it is already at the end the
disease
