This is part 2 of the AKB48 Springtime "Who Has The Best Luck" athletics festival. Punishment games and physical battles from the AKBINGO! era have been mixed together. Only someone with good luck will make it to the end in this survival game. The eliminations so far are these 8 people. It looks kind of gloomy over there. No idol vibes at all from them. We probably don't even need to use the good cameras on them. Use one of the tiny ones. And then the people with good luck so far are these 8 people shown here. Coming up next... A triathlon has been mixed with punishment games to make this the Best Luck Triathlon. They'll split up into 2 groups of 4 and will do battle. And now we'll go over the triathlon course. First it's the run. They'll skip their way out of the studio and then turn left. In front of them will be a traffic cone that they'll loop around and then it's about 100m to the other end of the hallway with the staircase. Next it's the swim. Obviously they can't swim underwater here, so they'll put on swim goggles and crawl under a net. They'll go around a traffic cone and go back through the net and then take off the swim goggles. And here's where we placed a bad luck trap. One of the swim goggles is doused with ink and once the goggles come off they'll have panda eyes. Finally it's the bike course. They'll get on a tricycle and race to the goal. Finally they'll inhale the oxygen of life and cross the goal. These oxygen cans are also a bad luck trap. One of the cans does not have oxygen but will instead shoot out whipped cream. Run, Swim, Bike, there's your triathlon. Today at TMC Studios they're shooting an episode of [Pressure Battle], so please don't run over, Hamada-san. That is the only bad luck trap we're asking you to avoid. Don't cause too much trouble out there. Up first it'll be these 4 members. So Oguri-chan, give us your thoughts heading into this. Just from a glance those oxygen cans look really sketchy. They look scary. But I have faith in my good luck, so I want to race straight to the end. Got it. And then Remii, how's your confidence for this? I've never tried to ride such a tiny tricycle before. Zukki yabai! TUUSU Sakagawa lets out a "TUUSU" and leisurely skips down the hallway. The 15 year old combo are moving really fast. What's up with Yamauchi? Her skipping is getting really weird. Did she sprain both of her ankles? The final rankings make absolutely no difference here, but Sakagawa is taking the race seriously. She's the leader heading into the swim zone. This is the first bad luck trap zone. Who will get the goggles with the ink and end up with panda eyes? Zukki is trailing far behind. Zukki is slow. YuiYui ganbare. Ah, good one. Do the best you can, everybody! Go around the cone and back through. Zukki has no net! It's like fighting over a blanket. Coming up they'll remove their swim goggles so pay attention to their eyes. Somehow Sakagawa managed to avoid any issues. Next up Tokunaga is also a clear. Up next it's Oguri. Ganbare. It's a little hard to see, but she's safe. Yamauchi is going to be eliminated. However the members themselves don't know that yet. And now the person that came into the studio today with the most energy, Sakagawa. She's made it to the tricycles. Go for it! WHOA! With her eyes on the goal she lets out an angry roar. Ah, she's good. Tokunaga in one burst is now right behind her. What's this? For some reason she's spun around and her back is now toward the goal. As for Yamauchi she still hasn't made it back to the studio. We wish she'd hurry up and show us her face. And then finally... So at this point Zukki is eliminated! She's not looking at her own face in the monitor What happened to "Lucky Zukky"? and hasn't even noticed what just happened. Back in the studio Sakagawa is already inhaling the oxygen of life. Hiyuka OK! 1st place! Next is Oguri who was the most suspicious of the oxygen cans. Eh? Eh? Oguri-chan? What's this? It would appear that Oguri is an unlucky girl. Try pressing on it again. What is that? What is it? What is this? Even with the kind advice from Seiya the whipped cream trap ended up looking weak. Remii OK! Taking a look to the side...Tokunaga has cleared. Something weird came out. You picked up the can of whipped cream. Cream? This is terrible! YuiYui. And that means Hiyuka and Remii advance to the next round. At this point Zukki, who has no idea what's going on, returned to the studio. Zukki, you were so slow. I kept my hand on the button, more cream came out and I kept my head back. ██████████████████████████████████ The ideal reaction the staff was hoping for If it's a true whipped cream trap I know I'd have to get it all on my face, but my natural instinct was to dodge the whipped cream so I realize that was a fail. It reminded me how difficult it is to do variety. They're being tested at both how to leave an impact on screen and how to make an exit in this best luck athletics festival. We got the 2 people we were hoping for... You're right! It's the curse of the unlucky zone. And with that Yamauchi and Oguri are now eliminated. The next participants are these 4 members. In round 2 the bad luck traps will be changed from round 1. Following the swim zone the bikes have been altered. One of the tricycles has been locked and will not move. At the end there won't be oxygen cans, instead it'll be the water of life. Once again the members don't know anything about these bad luck punishments. Naa-chan. Hai. Your thoughts? Coming up is the swim zone that made Yamauchi unlucky. One of those is a trap. What will happen this time? At this point Okada passed Takahashi to take over the lead however the rankings mean absolutely nothing here so everybody is going at their own pace. That's good... they formed a line. In a few moments Okada will escape the netting... will she have panda eyes? It appears that she's safe. She's ok. Naa-chan safe. Next it's Takahashi and Shitao out of the netting, however... You're doing good. And once again... both of them are safe. So what about Okabe? Okabe is safe too. This time there weren't any trap swim goggles. QA: Maybe they shouldn't have told the viewers beforehand. Ah... one of these tricycles will cause an elimination. What's this? How about Shitao Miu...can you move? Seiya-san, onegaishimasu. Hai, hai. This is Seiya reporting from the pants block. Ehhh, so this mat is part of the course. Ah... hai. Who did this? What's up? This can't be sticking out like this. That takes me back. That did happen in gym class though. So the pants... They'll put these pants on. After that please run as fast as you can. Got it. The unlucky trap in this section: These pants are sewn shut and you can't put them on. The 2nd obstacle is standard obstacle course protocol. It's the "Bread On A Rope" race. For the unlucky trap in the "Bread On A Rope" race one of those pastries is filled with tons of spicy mustard. And then... Ah wait... I haven't made it over there yet. And next... they'll go back to the studio. This is their last obstacle. The unlucky trap in the "Find The Candy" game is candy that's covered in chili powder.. After that there will be 2 goal lines and one of them is a trap. For the person that crosses the goal line that isn't rigged she'll become Lucky Girl #1. Got it. Now let's ask the members how they're feeling about the race. Berin. Well, if you get too greedy your luck will abandon you so I won't think about trying to win but instead focus on having a good time. Keep it subdued. Is that the right mentality for a race? That kind of stance is going to irritate the other members. We've finally reached the finals to crown the AKB Lucky Girl #1 Coming up each obstacle is going to eliminate one person. It looks like a marathon over there. It's the 10km run. The first obstacle is putting on the pants. One of those pants is sewn shut and can't be worn. Hurry it up. Ganbatte. One of them will be eliminated right here. Who is the first unlucky girl? The next obstacle is the Bread On A Rope race. Whoever gets the bread filled with spicy mustard will become an unlucky girl. It's here that Okabe takes a quick lead with a nice catch. Did she just invite some bad luck? Can I use my hands? What's this? There's a bit of cheating as everybody grabs the bread with their hands. Will any of them be unlucky girls? Okabe-chan... oishii? Red bean bread? AUGH~ It's spicy! Gyoten had the good fortune of making a comeback however at this obstacle Gyoten is surprisingly the unlucky girl. Gyoten-chan... why do you keep losing? If the last 3 could move on? And then the remaining 3 have reached the final obstacle. Find the candy. What's this? Sakagawa finished fast. She found the candy. Go! Correct route Sakagawa took a route where there are zero cameras so we can't see her face as she reaches the goal. Correct route Correct route Fail! That's the fake one. She failed in a way where we can't even show the shocked reaction on her face. Now that's unlucky. The people remaining are Takahashi and Okabe turning this into a Team 8 battle. In the end who will the goddess of good fortune smile upon? Spicy! Spicy! Berin what's wrong? This candy is mega spicy! You are eliminated! You are OUT! In the end Okabe was unlucky to get the spicy candy. She is eliminated. All that's left is for Takahashi to cross the correct goal line. You're at the goal. Ganbare.
