Thats an adlib That's amazing to think of that I knew I had to add in a wisecrack no matter what so I threw one in [ Wisecrack awareness ] And its time to announce the results First its the Yokoyama Oguri combo #348 - Turley Turkey #350.... #351 - Kato Takako #355 - YuiYui-han They impressively pass the 1st round sugoi sugoi! I'm so happy sugoi Next...she created her gag with her father Hama's results round 1... you advanced! yabai!! so happy yes! Right away she calls up her father in Shiga to tell him moshi moshi moshi moshi...otsukaresama desu Did you hear the results? nope...my heart is pounding well then...the results hai I passed! say what?! I passed! Seriously? That's fantastic....congratulations You worked hard for it You worked hard Your hard work and effort paid off I'm glad I was able to lend you my strength But that was really all you...you worked hard Its all thanks to you dad Your father didn't do anything This was not your father...you achieved this with your own strength I see hey that's a good father Really following this I need to show more gratitude for my father I should have more gratitude for the family I see And then for HKT who performed in the Fukuoka preliminaries amazingly 4 out of the 9 units passed the 1st round And that means among all the AKB groups of the 18 units entered 9 of them passed the 1st round sugoi Then in October...quickly it was time for THE W Round 2 In the waiting room... Did you come here from Nagoya? [ Yuriyan Retriever ] They're in the same room with famous comedians As fellow idols lets do our best Are you doing manzai? We are powerful foes have appeared! The rivals are all lining up to compete against them In round 2 from the almost 200 units it'll be narrowed down to about 40 units just like a school thats hard to get into Furthermore in the 1st round the time limit was 2 minutes that time limit doubles to 4 minutes for Round 2 because of that each of their gags needs to have new material Using traditional japanese performance art Ma Chia-Ling would insult all 47 prefectures now she has to ask the members about more performance art Do you have a favorite traditional japanese art form? Traditional art? How about throwing ninja stars? Kendama! kendama? Like this? Maybe the Bon Odori Maybe the Soran Bushi dance? What does it look like? Let me center You can't do that Yui-han its wrong to rudely call him by his first name ladies and gentlemen...here's the face of our diligent center This was said a lot to me when I debuted Bishojo in another couple years I heard this all the time So I made my debut and am now in my 5th year and what they tell me is... Bishojo in another couple years And then SKE Fukushi who grew up in Tochigi BAD END! First of all Nikko Tosho-gu whenever you go there its always under construction Do you think you're the freaking Sagrada Familia or something!!! Then when you walk around KYA! Look over here! You'll think maybe I'll see one of the Johnnys or something? But all you'll see is Ujikoji And then the only person to completely rewrite her gag NMBs Shibuya bandages when you peel them off and smell them they really stink All 9 units left it all on the stage those who pass this round will advance to the semifinals And then the results were released on their official homepage First we'll see Hama's results ah its not there I failed Unfortunately Hama was not able to make it out of the 2nd round as expected there's a high wall preventing them from passing round 2 These other 6 units also did not pass All that remains is just Ma Chia-Ling and Fukushi We'll start with Ma Chia-Ling ah! my name... its not there Ma Chia-Ling does not get past the 2nd round At that point...issues that have haunted her up to now she's overcome with painful emotions I'll be honest with you With me being a foreigner there's so many things people won't accept Like I'm not really an AKB member lots of people think of me like that Like its useless to even try people have said this right in front of me But it hurts I joined AKB because I had dreams that why I want to prove myself Even as a foreigner...I can do whatever I try in order to prove this to everyone Ma Chia-Ling has entered the contest 2 years in a row This time although her wishes did not come true I'll take advantage of any chances offered I want to prove myself by working in Japan's entertainment industry And then last up its Fukushi's results This picture bothers me yabai....what now The results are in alphabetical order HEYYYY!! TA...CHI....TSU yada yada yada yada Suddenly they're past all the TA-names I did it!! It's there...I'm shocked Fukushi impressively advances past the 2nd round!! I'm so happy omedetou Don-chan....you did it And only 38 units made it Amazingly enough among all the prominent members is Fukushi's name This is a first time achievement in AKB history! That's impressive Suda-san what are your thoughts on SKE reaching the semifinals? I'm mega mega proud of them This bond between these 2 SKE members...getting to actually see it in action and I'm sure the viewers are seeing the same thing I think SKE has what it takes to move various types of people emotionally That's true you could feel that one And then November suddenly an idol is performing in the semifinals In the semifinals are well known comedians from 38 units it will be narrowed down to just 10 units The rivals are polishing up their gags the nervousness is overflowing backstage Speak loudly...have confidence Fukushi as well...with Matsumura applying her makeup she's making the final checks I've really got everything riding on this I want to take advantage of every chance that's what's brought Fukushi to THE W Legitimately taking this girl under my wing and giving her backup as she achieves her dreams its been fun doing this Before graduating she wants to lend her strength to Fukushi Matsumura has continued to offer her support I hate the fact this is my last time doing this with Kaori-san I want to put on a performance so intense that it'll even put a scare in the pros These 2 have put everything into this chance Seriously give it your best shot bye bye! Leave no regrets And finally its showtime! I'm about to tell you about all the bad parts of Tochigi Tokugawa's tomb all I can see there are a bunch of stones but you're still going to charge me 1300 yen to see it! You can't do this You're saying all the bad stuff! Well of course, I shouldn't just say all the bad parts sorry...I'm sorry BUT THATS THE REALITY! That's the reality That's the real Tochigi! She's out of control! On stage during the semifinals Fukushi delivers a gag overflowing with spirit and gets some laughs ah thank goodness That was the best one I've done If so that's whats best And its time to announce the results Advancing to the finals out of 38 units is a mere 10 units Fukushi left it all on the stage will she advance? I will announce the 10 finalists entry number #616 Konno Buruma entry number #265 Yoshizumi One by one the finalists were announced I will announce the final unit to advance entry number #604 Yuriyan Retriever Unfortunately Fukushi's name was not called Don-chan~ That wasn't good enough ah it hurts It hurts right But you gave it all you had really It really hurts it hurts knowing how much you put into it If Kaori-san weren't with me like being able to go all out without her I wouldn't be able to say it hurts but I gave it all I had I'll be back next year and I'll try to improve on this year ganbarimasu The next years competition starts tomorrow Its starting Fukushi's next challenge starts now Mukaichi-san hai You watched the members compete What do you think?
